I'd cut the Phoenix fans a little slack. They haven't made the playoffs in 8 years --- how are they supposed to know how to act?

I guess, but thats still no excuse for me. The Pacers here in Indy haven't made the playoffs since Reggie Miller was here. And trust me, when we make it back there we will know how to act. No excuses

Wow, you are one to talk with your pathetic Avalanche attendance this year.

The difference in noise level in these two environments is caused mostly by the fact that Caps fans cheer the entire game. Mostly because the vast majority of them are just there to have a party and have no idea what the hell's going on on the ice.

Re: Differences in crowds at different arenas

I mentioned to my father that when the Devils scored late against the Flyers to make it 2-1 with about 5 minutes left, the crowd wasn't going crazy. I understand the team wasn't exactly lighting the world on fire the previous 55 minutes, but if that game was in Philly, the crowd wouldn't have stopped cheering until the Flyers tied it up... and they would have with the crowd behind them if in that situation.

I know the Devils fans aren't generally the best of fans, but still, it's the playoffs. I thought every arena went nuts in the playoffs...
