I wouldn't put all the blame on Torts. Someone had to hire him.

It's bizarre that the US "brain trust" keeps bringing up the '96 team. The team that beat Canada wasn't full of Abdelkader types; it was the greatest collection of talent the Americans have ever iced.

That team was ridiculously talented; Hull, Amonte, Weight, Lafontaine, Modano, Guerin, Tkachuk, Deadmarsh, Leclair, Leetch, Chelios....

Schneider is the 2nd best goalie in the league and he's not even starting. Torts' decision making is pretty bad.
