The Chelsea kit needs those white Adidas-stripes to be honest.

Adidas was sort of phoning it in at the end of our contract with them, but I thought Nike would be better than this.

Those white stripes on the arms, shorts and socks. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. That blue colour is lovely and those white stripes were the icing on the cake.

I do like retro kits though.

Yeah I didn't mind too much this year's kits for that reason, retro kits are fun if they are done well.

Most of us were thinking that Nike was playing it safe with the retro kits because it was their first season with us, and that they would be a little more daring and creative with the following season. Looks like that isn't the case unfortunately.

I mean they aren't terrible, just pretty meh.

Oh boy... started and ended the season the same way.

I don't look forward to this weekend... honestly, even without Lukaku for MU, I find it hard to believe we win out. You never know but the last few performances have been terrible.

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***

Definitely not the performance to end the season on, right before a freaking final against a Jose Mourinho team.

Conte does have a decent record against Jose, and I'm sure our players will be up for it because they usually are, but you really need to be in top gear to beat a Jose team in a cup final and we are obviously not.

Honestly sometimes during our off-seasons it seems like we are very similar to Newcastle, like a richer better version of them. Our players always get up for the big games, and most of their best performances will come against the best teams, but against lower level opposition they hardly look like they can be bothered.

We really do need more youth and hunger in the squad, a few young guys that will go out there every game looking to steal their lunch money. This is usually where it helps to have academy players being brought through obviously, and I do think there is a place for RLC, Barkley, Hudson and Tammy. There's also guys like Aina, Van Ginkel etc. I'd really love to see Dasilva get a shot tbh, I think he is actually the real deal.

Even if we continue to refuse to use our academy, bringing in guys like Bailey/Malcom/Lozano/Sessegnon/Lemar/Chiesa etc., even guys like Inaki Williams would go a long way to making us less complacent and more consistently hungry for results.

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***

Is Van Ginkel 30 yet? Seems like he's been floating around Chelsea as a "youth" player forever
