I went with the only American based team in HAAS, for the extra challenge. Taking my time. Anyone got a good AI % when racing with a controller with assists? maybe 75%-80%? Off to practice I go. Wish me luck!

Got a mid season contract event after British GP.

Turned down Mercedes because that's just no fun to run the best cars, imo.

Turned down Ferrari because those drivers I love to hate

Turned down Red Bull because Max and Daniel are my favorite drivers and I could never "retire" one of them.

Sticking with Haas, the only American team and still a lot of research and development to do.

Very difficult to pick an AI level for you, but remember you can change it between each session so don't feel locked in should you under or outperform CPU.

Yeah, we're all different. I am not that good and I just the other day bumped up to 60 and finished 7th so I'm happy with that for now.

Here is what I did to find a difficulty level. I don't have my wheel anymore so I am using a controller as well.

First what I do is decide what team I wanted to be. For me I decided to go with McLaren Honda because I am a sucker for punishment. Then I started to run single races at max level of difficulty driving a car that was close in ability to McLaren, so I choose Sauber. Then when I ran a race I would see where Honda would set times and positions. Then I would lower the difficulty until I was finishing in the same spot as McLaren was. For example at Russia, Honda finshed 16th 2 seconds behind the 15th place car. So I lowered the difficulty until I could finish in the same place

After that I started my career. Anytime I finish above where I believe my car should be, I raise the Difficulty by 5.

I am still using a controller with no assists on and I am running at 95. My best finish was an 8th at Australia, other than that I have been between 17th and 14th consistently before upgrades started to kick in.

Hope this helps some, or gives you an idea where to start.

Re: F1 2017...How is your career going?

I’m not that much of a glutton of punishment. I’m on 85 with McLaren. I usually finish in the back half of the points...peppered with a couple podiums because of strategy and a few finishes out of the points.

I’ve got it set where I can’t outrun anybody, but I can contend with the midfield teams (kinda what McLaren is doing in the last half of the current F1 season). I’d probably get bored quickly if I was consistently only battling Sauber and Alonso for 17th-20th.

Holy crap....just did my first time trials/practice runs at Spa. Its like being shot out of a cannon!! Fast fast white knuckler of a track this year. Hope it won't rain on my race day at Spa this year like usual.

Oh Spa...I love Spa. Going up Eau Rouge and the run down the Kemmel Straight...there is nothing like it.

I just need to get through this race at Hungary (I hate this track) first. Got qualifying done...just need time to finish the race. Starting 20th after taking a grid penalty for the damn engine.

And good news my console brethren...next patch will be adding photo mode across all platforms!
