I think at the core it has a good tennis game in there. But as it stands currently it is a beta that should have been delayed. I think that it will be a great tennis game at some point I really do. They just need a lot of clean up to the game. The graphics and sound are real bad. The graphics I would have expected to be great because there is not a lot of overall things in the picture so I would have assumed the players and stuff in camera would have looked amazing (2k level or better). *Thaw sounds from the umpire not having actual names inputted to the terrible McEnroe commentary. *With all that negative , at the core I think they could have very good tennis gameplay if they polish it (a lot).

Re: Tennis World Tour Available Now For PS4 & Xbox One, Online Multiplayer Coming Lat

I was happy to finally have a Next Gen Tennis game. I agree with some of the previous comments on the cartoony player faces, McEnroe's limited commentary, and the lack of background audio. No applause? No cheers? No gasps from the crowd? All of those issues seem to be easy fixes.

The mo-cap seems fine. The controls don't seem to be as difficult or as challenging as Top Spin. I saw a really weird elbow glitch on the players. Women's shoes seemed a little too large for their bodies.

This game needs a larger player pool, especially among the women. Licensed venues would be nice, but not necessary. There is work to be done, but I am optimistic about Tennis World Tour.

The commentary reminds me of Madden from the Sega Genesis days. It's god awful. Breakpoint should be ashamed of themselves for putting commentary that terrible in a game in 2018 and pretty much wasting John McEnroe's time.

This game is really bad. It is seriously 2 generations behind. We really should be allowed refunds for obviously unfinished or terrible games like this.

For me it seems that both games are disappointed in terms of gameplay however the customization of AO International Tennis makes it a better option. I am still thinking about buying it after a price drop.

Yeah like the first guy who replied, all your downloaded players will be in your career. Initially I think they are ranked by overall, but tourneys will start to adjust rankings based on placing in those tournaments.

I just bought both games and AO is really fun for me as even just a career mode guy, I don’t care about the trainers and cards and all that fluff. The game plays good and the options to add in real players so that you have 100+ real ones is amazing (they also have almost every name for the announcer to say during the match as well).

As for World Tennis Tour, it is really frustrating to see this. I ordered legends addition like some others and I can’t see myself ever playing the game in the state it is right now. Extremely unresponsive controls, hardly any crowd noises, and the creation/edit options are lacking greatly (and that’s putting it kindly).

I tried to sit down and play this game again tonight while knowing full well its lack of everything. I did some of the training until it forced me to start a career, so I created a player, started a match and just dealt with the horrible commentary, the atrocious line judge, lack of crowd noise & overall tennis atmosphere, the players magically hitting the ball when their racquets are 3 feet away from the ball, etc.... I just wanted to give the gameplay another chance. But God help me if I'm going to play through an entire tournament and wait an hour for the player to bounce the damn the ball 20 times before each serve. Not only that, but if you move your player along the baseline to get a better angle, he'll start his ball bouncing routine again.

Needless to say, I just ran out of patience in the very first game about the time when the CPU double-faulted twice in a row. I just quit.

I really think even Mario Tennis on the N64 plays a better game of tennis than this.

I don’t mean to advocate for another game in this forum. But maybe check out some YouTube vids of AO. It’s come along way apparently since release. I literally just finished a 3 set match as Raonic against Edmund (both community downloads) and it was the best tennis game match I’ve ever played. We each broke each other’s serve once over a 3 set match. My 28 aces were the difference (and I usually average 7-9 per match).

Thanks for the answer, friend. Being able to play all the real top 100 is something i always wanted in a tennis game, i guess AO tennis will be my choice.
