"Very impressed. AI looks outstanding.

My favorite part is the actual foot planting and skates digging in on changes of direction. No ballerina warp skating.

And those arenas are ridiculous!"

WOW oh WOW. Scott where are you?
That looked so good, the A.I. looks great. Loved how the d was closing off the passing lanes and not allowing the offense to just hang onto the puck. My oh my the arenas are a thing of beauty. This game is going to be pure hockey heaven IMHO.

Yeah and to think that wasn't even with adjusted sliders most likely.

Great point. I'm not much of a slider person myself so that makes what we saw even better. You could see some of the "rebuilt A.I." in that video for sure.

Ok...so those windows that show players changing at the bench are cool and all, but they totally get in the way of play.

Optional or no???

What really sucks is that I will be TDY in Roanoke VA the week of the release and won't be able to play until I get back home that weekend.

Really, I make minor adjustments but never anything major. I think I will look into doing that more this year to make the game as challenging and realistic as possible. I always thought major slider adjustments screwed video games up.

Yeah...no. Maybe yours do...

It looks like the AI is finally not hit happy. That's a great sign.

It's also obvious that they were playing on a lower difficulty setting because the AI didn't seem to be all that aggressive in it's own zone. But I'm okay with that as long as it's tougher on higher difficulties.
And from what I've read on 2Khockey the AI won't get cheats as you move up in difficulty it will only get smarter. I hope that's true.

I really liked hearing that 'owners budget' stuff too. I hope you can combine that with the real Salary Cap. Working with a team like Nashville or Carolina would be cool as you know their budget is a lot less than the Wings or Philly.

All in all, this game is looking very sharp.
I hope we'll be getting this kind of info every Friday from here to release.
Thanks 2K. It's about time the marketing 'gurus' got off their hands and actually did something!

Yes those arenas are absolutely positively alive and beautiful. I don't think I have seen anything like that in a sports game before. I hope all of the arenas are that alive and that detailed.

Eddie, before the year is over that 2009 budget will end up being $600 . It was $300 earlier today.

This is what I mean by too much info too soon. I don't want to see things like this 2 months in advance. It's just too long to wait. We're a month and a week from release and I think that's too far away for even this information, but they don't have to sell the game to me and you. It's the fence sitters that need to be attracted to this gem of a hockey game.
