Swaggs, I'm thinking I'll be issuing an arrest warrant either way, depending on the results of the search. What I'm not sure of is how I learn the results of the search.

If the results of the search on you look positive, I would expect to issue an arrest warrant for Marathoner.

If the results of the search on you look negative, I would expect to issue an arrest warrant for you.

I've also received a request from a detective in the last 10.5 hours to search Marathoner's home. I'll have a window of time to honor that if people feel that is needed. It could be a good validation for moving from arrest to convict, depending on the results. That also assumes I would still be holding this position at midnight to issue a 2nd search warrant.

To me that indicates the exact obvious...evil knows who is good, and who is evil. They also dont want to be in the spotlight unless its necessary(like to save their mafia boss). honestly I don't see what i've done to inspire such rage blade, aside from not believing you. Aside from having a flair for those dramatical last-second theatrics, I felt that switching my vote would enable me to get more information about 3 players in the game (cronin, you, and hoops) as opposed to keeping my vote where it was (on swaggs actually) where it was essentially a throwaway. My interactions with you seemed benign, but hoops made a decent case that there could be more to you than that, and at worse I figured we'd lose the jewler but maybe preserve the banker/doctor or someone else important.

I think there are certainly others who are deserving of more scrutiny than myself at this point in time.

I'm surprised there is so little talk since I was here late last night/early this morning. Marathoner isn't looking too hoog. I don't suppose I will get someone to clear things up before I leave for work in in hour and a half will I?

Anyway, I will be around for about an hour, so if anyone wants to talk the politics side of things here and has any questions for me, feel free and ask. I have been upfront about everything in this game, except for what I choose to hold back to protect my customers.

Did you read my like 15 posts of quotes explaining why i distrust you? Another factor, which i havent really touched on, is i firmly believe that at least 1 other evil voted me in an attempt to save cronin. So that leave you, hoops, swaggs, and bsak. I tend to trust hoops, for reasons ive laid out. Bsak i frankly dont know about, so i dont want to damn him on a whim. Swaggs has done a role reveal, though one im shaky on being good, but he has consistently been trying to work with us today. Police support of new judge low?

The spirits were high around town when a new judge was elected, however you have to start to wonder if the current judge had the backing of the city's police force. Word has it that no warrants signed by the judge have yet been picked up by any cop. I'm not sure what to make of it, but this reporter feels if the mafia is to be wiped out of this town, the law enforcement officials need to work together!

Mafia fix on NBA game?

The NBA denies any allegations that the Big City mafia have had any influence on tonight's Blazers vs Bobcats game. Local officials begun to have suspicions based on a large amount of money that has been placed on the game from unknown betters. "I'm not saying the fix is on, but maybe these betters just know something that I don't", stated a local gaming official.

The top stories today have been the ongoing discussions of who the lynch mob should target next. With the mob's success last night, it appears there might be no slowing them down. Why would you not trust me? I was abducted yesterday, that seems pretty set in stone. I mentioned that they wanted me to work for the boss before I escaped. Why would I mention anythign that sounds like conversion if I had been converted? I;d want to keep that out of the conversation. Likewise, why mention the crime at all, since its only self reported? Because if I report it, and say nothing of anything that smells of conversion, there's still a chance that someone might start crying "Convert, convert!"

Bodies found!

Two different reports today of bodies found have people buzzing in town. The cops first arriving at the scene state that it appears to be two seperate unrelated cases.

The first body was found behind the courthouse and authorities state that the person is still alive, but critical condition. He was rushed away to Big City hospital where he currently is in the ICU. Hopefully our fine town has an excellent doctor who will be able to save him before it is too late.

The second body found appears to not be quite as forunate. A local family cruising up the river in their boat noticed it washed up along the side of the river. Appearently the person was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police cars everywhere

Apparently a glitch in the system, today saw quite a mess of the normally routine local traffic cops. It appears due to some malfunction the normal method of dispatching police to certain locations was not being used. In many cases we saw two or three policemen directing traffic at the same intersection!

Texas Holdem tournament

Earlier today saw the Big City's 5th annual Texas Holdem tournament. This year's tournament was held at the local senior citizen's center. Tournament spokesperson Andrea Miles told us they had over 500 people, and 300 wheelchairs attend. Good times had by all.

He was one of the swaps to me in the final 10 minutes, despite being the only person who should have trusted me(from our visit).

He supported lynching you when cronin tried that, cronin made quie a few attempts to publicly oppose DT on day one, but not on day 2. And we had 5 people that swapped to save cron(hoops, cronin, DT, swaggs, Bsak).

Judge badly beaten

Earlier today we reported the story of a man badly beaten behind the courthouse. We have since learned the identity of the man is none other than our own judge Hoops. (Editorial note, I can shorten his name and he'll like it.) Doctors state that the attacks were not life threatening, but he'll not be out figureskating any time soon. Right now he is in stable condition in the hospital.

Horrific Kidnapper video released

In horrific news, we received earlier today at the Big City Herald a video tape sent anonymously from the apparent kidnapper of our very own Tyrith. We won't go into great details, but on the tape it shows him sitting in a damp, dark basement pleading for his life. He cried out that he worked for the police department, and could help them perhaps but his pleas were met with a single gun shot into his chest. Its apparent that it was his body found by the river earlier this afternoon.

Thoughts - looking for feedback:
Assuming we still have our original detectives, submit an arrest warrant for Marathoner and a search warrant for bsak16.

If we have two detectives (does dispatcher = detective?), then the one who investigated Swaggs makes the call on arresting Marathoner. The other one checks out bsak16.

If we have one detective, then the detective gets to pick between the two warrants.

I still don't buy it. He knows (or is being advised) that if he claims bodyguard, the real bodyguard will no longer trust him. And, as I said, I'm staying after him unless someone else comes forward with something far more substantial. In my mind, risking that he may be thug, with the reward being that he could be the muscle is a worthwhile lynch unless better evidence is presented.

Your mental leap does not clear the hurdle, but think what you will.

I collected your trash, as I do for everyone. When I sorted through yours, I found the ad and a small coin purse with $100 in it. A little different than robbery, but if you cannot make that mental leap, so be it.

As hoops was missing yesterday we didn't get a vote count. For what it's worth here it is.

DaddyTorgo claimed that he had an non-specified role and then that he had a role at 1319.

He confessed on 1387, so votes on him after that aren't exactly ringing endorsements of the voter.

Bsak's vote put it at 5:5. But then people started to pile onto DT as he was looking more and more guilty.

I think kingfc comes out looking good from this. He voted for DT when he couldn't change it. I can't see a bad guy voting for one of their own and then leaving, unless he stands next in line to become the boss.

The only people who voted for Marathoner and kept their votes there are bsak and Chief Rum, although Swaggs switch doesn't really prove anything as it came so late.

We've got the results from the search of Swaggs pending. (it is still pending isn't it)? Despite Blade's antics this morning I still think Swaggs is ok. Chief Rum appears to be the bookie. Now Alan has stated that there's room for the independents to switch to good or evil so we can't rule him out from being evil. But I think we need to give him the benefit of the doubt for now. That leaves bsak looking as guilty as hell. Compounded by last night's über-suspicious comments.

I think he's the pawnshop owner. I think that that role is expressly said to be good, although I'm not sure. His voting patterns have been extremely suspicious though. Perhaps too suspicious for him to really be bad.

People I'm most suspicious of at the moment (in order of suspicion) = ImTheCrew, Bsak, Marathoner. I'm going to check their posts for this game.

It's just stuck me that Hoops stated that he was going to issue an arrest order on Marathoner if Swaggs came up clean. Low and behold he gets hit by a thug (lead piping, brute force attack) not long after. Marathoner looks very much like the thug role at the moment.
