Bulls Come Away with Narrow Victory After Missed Shot by Kemba Walker

Derrick Rose once again showed why he is one of the best in the business. After being held scoreless in the first half, Rose still managed to score 18 points against the Bobcats to help the Bulls pull out the victory. Charlotte tried to get the jump on Chicago early taking a 46-36 lead at halftime. Chicago came out strong in the third quarter and began chipping away at the lead, managing to bring themselves within one point by the end of the third. After Derek Baldwin hit his free throw after being fouled on a dunk, Chicago finally took the lead 70-71 with just under two minutes to play. Charlotte still managed to hang in there, finding themselves down by one. Baldwin missed key free throws with ten seconds on the clock, allowing the Bobcats one more chance for victory, a missed three pointer by Kemba Walker sealed their fate. This win moves Chicago to fourth in the East.

Orlando Can't Find the Magic Against Chicago


Rookie Derek Baldwin getting airborne to cap off the fast break

Orlando is still struggling to get back on track after the departure of Dwight Howard. Chicago took advantage of it, taking a 12 point victory on the road. It looked like it could have gone in Orlando's favor after a 12-4 run brought them within eight points with two minutes left in the fourth quarter. Chicago managed to get in gear and keep the Magic at bay to hand them their 25th loss of the season. We're not sure how much longer head coach Jacque Vaughn will be on the Orlando Magic sidelines.
