In closed Legacy, is there a way I can edit the other coaches names? For example, changing Roy Williams from UNC coach to Roy Williams.

In game I don't believe so. I don't think Closed Legacies allow you to edit anything, really. You might be able to with a hex editor or something similar, but I'm not knowledgeable enough to say more than that on the topic.

Use a roster base that has Williams as the UNC coach already. Once in game you can't edit it but you can before.

Glad to still see some activity in here. If anyone is still playing Closed Legacy Mode, how is your career going so far?

Got knocked out in the Elite 8 last season with LIU. This years team is much weaker than last (lost my best recruit of all time 87ovr sf) But we just made the tourney and Ill probably play it this weekend.

My recruit class this year is the best ive had on paper. I have a 5* PF and mr basketball of NY coming in and a 4* PG and mr basketball of NH, who looks to be lights out from the 3pt line.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

My first season at San Francisco is in the books. Finished the year 16-14, not too bad after they went 3-27 the year before. My OOC schedule was pretty uneventful for the most part. I started conference play 4-1 and was feeling pretty good about how we were playing even though my guys were bad. My one loss at that point was embarrassing though. I was @ Portland, and was trailing 10-8 about halfway through the first half (20 minute halves), I had a fast break with a layup to tie to the game and missed it. I didn't score for the rest of the half and went down 32-8 at halftime. Portland then scored 8 points to open the 2nd half to put me down 40-8 before I scored again. I don't think I ever got it below 20 the rest of the way. The rest of the season had its ups and downs that mostly followed the theme of us just not having enough talent. We finished 5th in the conference at 8-6 and beat St. Marys in the first round of the conference tourney before losing to Santa Clara.

Like I mentioned earlier, I had a bunch of scholarships to give out and had offered them to all 4* or 5* guys. I gave up on the 5* when Arizona offered him, but I managed to get all of the 4* I wanted. I had two guys transfer out which allowed me to offer one more 4* and a 3% who had me at 100% pretty much the whole year. I finished the class out with a 4*PG, 4*SG, 4*SF,4*PF,4*C, and a 3*SG. Somehow I still finished behind schools who only signed one 3* and one 4* in the recruiting rankings so I'm kind of confused as to how that's calculated, but whatever.

In year two, all of my starters are returning and even though my incoming freshman are better than starters at 3 positions, I'm not going to start them because they're all seniors and one of my rules in this legacy is to not replace upperclassmen who have been starters for more than one season. I do want to make sure these guys get plenty of playing time in preparation for next year, so most of the freshman are getting 10-14 minutes a night and the starters are only getting around 22 or 23. I am also planning on going 12 deep this year after only being able to play 8 last season, so it'll be good to have everyone fresh and constantly rotating.

I've only played one game so far and we didn't shoot well, but our defense was great and we beat Idaho to open the season. It really is nice having guards who can come off the bench and actually play. Once a couple of the freshman have had a chance to develop even for one year, I think these guys will be pretty good. 5 of them are rated between 75-77 and the 3* is a 70.

In terms of recruiting, I have 5 scholarships this year and again I'm looking at mostly 4* and 5* guys, with one 3* PG who is a great shooter. I have made offers to two 5*s but I think they'll probably go elsewhere (one of them has Pepperdine as his top choice with an offer and the other has UCLA way out in front). a 4* PG, the 3* PG, and a 4* SF who is a better shooter than the SF I just brought in. My #1 target though is a 5* Jr SF who I've been watching since his Fr year. He has me #5 right now, but I'm hoping a good couple of seasons from us are enough to reel him in. I've played with him in the ABL and he's incredible. His #1 priority is playing time so hopefully the SF I just signed doesn't deter him too much, and if not getting the SF I just offered helps me with him, I'll take that deal any day of the week.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Got the itch to play a college bball game again and of course, this game is the only viable option at this point. I had downloaded a roster for X360 in the past but unfortunately there was not one for that platform for this past year's roster. I was surprised at just how long ago it was that I played, the 12-13 season. Went through and saw some nostalgic names. I dreaded it but I went about doing a little bit of work on some of the rosters. I did a couple of important teams and then absolutely couldn't take it anymore so I went ahead and started a closed legacy as Florida. Haven't actually played any games yet but I'm planning on starting it up once I re-learn how to play. I tried a quick play game as UF against Arkansas PB and lost by about 12...pathetic. I'm gonna try as Villanova (I buffed their roster something fierce) against a bad team and see how I do, lol

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

It took me four years to bring home a championship at Hawaii. I brought in two 5* juco players in two years. They contributed greatly in our title run. I'm entering my fifth season and brought in the #3 recruiting class in the nation with three 5* players (sg/pf/c). We've started off hot in our fifth season going 8-0, and winning 2k classic and Hawaiian Invitational.

Hawaii
07-08: 27-6 Second Round
08-09: 26-7 Sweet Sixteen
09-10: 29-4 Second Round
10-11: 39-2 National Champions
11-12: 8-0
