What a fantastic storyline.

I need to start opening up my roster and playing with the depth chart. I remember like 07? Changing qbs and noticing an effect on the game based on their attributes. Seemed like we lost alot of those aspects and depth when the game moved to 360/ps3 era. My QB stinks but he's my best overall and yet to try anyone else. Also my coordinators at my first HC gig stink and need fired after this season. They bring nothing to the table

How do people play d in this game? Just use coach suggestions? Is there a place to learn the coverages? I am getting torched by Texas am 31-7 in the first. They ran for 4 TDs and broke every tackle I tried lol. I am Florida so not a terrible team.

In year 4 of my Duck dynasty, true freshman QB has had a great year overall, leading us to 10-0 and number one ranking. Last two games were both on the road at PSU and UW….lost both games and ended up in the Cheezit/Citrus bowl at 10-2, brilliant!

My only 2 minor beefs; the game gets a little too consistently crazy with simmed upsets, way too many G5s getting at large playoff births, which seems highly unlikely. Second thing is they have a really cleansed version of the portal world. IRL the top teams are competing with each other to buy whoever they want…I actually just went through an off season with zero transfer portal additions at Oregon.

That said, I like this more pure version of reality, works better for a video game for sure.

Just wanted to ask how recruiting is for everyone with the A&S restrictions? Are you finding more difficulty as a weaker school in a big conference or as a stronger school in a smaller conference?

Want to make sure it's going to be tough rise to the top and weaker schools in a big conference have been too easy in the past.

So for reference, I'm running with Tulane in my dynasty, and created Jon Sumrall as my coach. It took me 4 seasons of winning 8+ games, 2 of which were American Conference title seasons and playoff appearances (and one and done losses in both), to start really progressing my team.

It helps that Sumrall's pipeline is Alabama, so I had a slight advantage even though I wasn't landing big fish. Finally now in my 6th season, I've managed to land a few bigger fish recruits that I'm up to an 89 overall, and due to my successive runs I've moved Tulane to the ACC, and delegated Duke to the American as they were the worst ACC team in that timespan.

Which sliders you on? I mean Texas is a super strong team. I run 4-3 multi defense. There are tons of videos on YouTube about coverages. And a lot of information here on the main board. I found a defense in Nickel where there are two players almost covering the same spot on the field. Put one of those guys on man coverage against the RB. It works pretty good. Of course, don't call it every play. Disguising shell coverage works also. I wish I could offer more input, but there are guys here that KNOW way more than me on the defensive side of the ball.

I don't have a lot of info on this. I will say that recruiting is about where I thought it would be at my SDSU dynasty. I have snagged a few 4 stars, no 5 stars. My team is slowly building which is the way it probably should be. Could it be better? Maybe, but I don't have the recruiting down to a science yet.
