I have been testing your sliders out today, just for the record I'm not the best FIFA's player out there, but I really enjoy those who made my game more realistic even tho I struggle sometimes ! it's a must have, so much fun...

Is it possible to lower the difficulty to Professional or will it alter the sliders set ? while I get use to the game.

Is it normal to have a lot of shots hitting the cross bar or post or it's specific to this year game ??


I'll keep giving feedback from time to time.

Played the same setting yesterday with full manual and 10 minutes. Will go up to 15min. What did you think about lower pass speed at 42 for cpu?

So haven’t played this game in a while,been playing 16/17 a lot instead.
But after watching Matts little venture in South America it got me thinking,that gameplay looked amazing,pretty much the opposite to what I’ve had with FIFA 18.
I decided to play a few games on one of my career saves just to test out a few values.

What I don’t like with Fifa 18 is three things.
1 frantic and direct gameplay
2 no fouls ( or ow foul count to be honest)
3 a bit to easy

So I played vs City (me Bournemouth) 15 min WC,semi everything,custom camera.
OP sliders.
That game was just how I remember fifa 18,up and down the pitch for 90 min,no build up at all.
Yet surprisingly easy to exploit cpu defence,low freekick count as well

Game two vs Utd at home.
I made a few changes in the slider setup
Pass speed 42/42 first touch 100/100,sprint 45/45 all other settings as previous game
This game became more sloppy,and Utd had a slower build up than previous game vs City,got 5 freekicks and it felt really good,cpu played really well,loads of build up,but still to easy to exploit the cpu defence,and also first touch error at 100 for user s very tricky,like handling a soap.
1-1some good stats in shooting and passing/freekicks

Game 3,I went back (didn’t save) to my City game.
Changed first touch to 80/100 and sprint to 45/48 again
City played much more possession football than in game one.
Only issue is the crappy defending,way to easy to exploit
Had a 1-0 lead early on.
So I needed to re think this concept
Made these changes.
Pass speed back to OP (48/48) but what turned this around was going back to broadcast cam again.

The game just came alive,freekicks,had three shooting chances after changing to broadcast cam,also the physicality came back with a lose ball at 80/100 first touch error,plus not as easy to exploit cpu defending with this camera since the game slows down
I lost that game 3-1 btw

I had probably my best game on Fifa 18,wouldn’t recommend first touch at 80/100 if your playing outside the PL,but I do feel that the PL is very souped up vs other leagues,might be wrong,but that’s how I feel anyway


Sorry for the long post,thought I’d share some of my findings/thoughts.
My mission was to make WC a bit more competitive again,and the cpu play more possession football again

Long description short.
OP sliders,but First touch 80/100 and broadcast cam,WC ,semi,15 min

And yes Matt ,you should have scored against the leagues worst team mate

Looked everywhere,you can’t change the colour of the dots on your radar?
Just played blue/red Palace (red dots) vs Southampton red/white (red dots) which was a bit of a nightmare...
