Does Superstar give the CPU any boosts? The User any disadvantages?

Or is it just tougher AI?

After a couple games I'm afraid it's too tough to beat bad teams.

good question but I don't see any crazy comeback logic or super human CPU late in games.... At least using my sliders. In fact I don't see much difference between Super Star and All Star except the fact that Im getting penalties called now

Well I officially give up.....This is why I don't like posting sliders and why I am convinced more than ever that the entire slider logic in this series is and has been broken. It is the only way to explain why some of us get good results with tweaks and others do not....Its the only way to explain why you get good results with a set up but change one little thing and it blows the whole thing up. After 6 consecutive games with great penalty results and solid gameplay I changed one thing......One thing....Goalie screen effect from 0 to 1 and boom the entire gameplay and results changed. I changed it back and still entire gameplay and results changed. 2 games in row now and only 1 power play total.....its not like the infractions are not happening and its just one of those games with low penalties. In the last 2 games I have been boarded, slashed, hooked, interfered with, and had my goalie bowled over and no calls. On top of that the whole game play changed. Both goalies letting in floaters and bad goals, Super Human CPU is back, and the over all feel of the game is crappy.....WTF. How can 1 little slider tweak moved up one notch regarding goalie screen effect cause so much to change. Why did changing it back not help? All I can think of is that somehow some way the sliders just really don't work and whenever you change them you get some random logic that determines how the games will be played....How else can you explain each of us getting totally different game play experience using the same sliders (yes I know people play different but some results are so wacky) How else can you explain having good sliders for days and then making a change, changing back to the exact sliders that you had great games with and then have the whole thing play differently.........I know I rambling but I am so sick of this.....So sick of trying to get a hockey game to play like a hockey game....No I don't expect perfection but expect If I play a first person shooter I expect a gun....If I play a racing game I expect a car and some roads, If I play baseball there better be balls and strikes, and If I play a hockey game there better be POWER PLAYS. I'm so sick of struggling with this game just to get it to do the little things it should do...............

For the first time in around ten games the cpu isnt getting 3 PP chances or more a game but I attribute that to me getting better at positional defense so I may add 1 click to teammate penalties as its a quick fix without wrecking the wonderful game play and Im even gonna try Mizz's suggestion on maxing out fighting and see if gameplay gets more intense or just options to fight as Im starting another 12 hour NHL 15 non stop marathon right now !

Well my last ditch effort failed. I reset the sliders to default and then re did them back to what they were when I was getting good results and 2 more games only 1 power play in each.....so I went from 5-6 per team to just having 3 in four games using the exact sliders that worked earlier. I just don't understand how the whole game experience changed without changing anything. I am sure that it is totally random and I have don't have the time or patience to try 20 more slider combinations hoping to get one that works well only to have change on its own magically.......I do know this. I have a busy weekend and if I don't hear some good news from EA, and I'm sure I wont, by next week about editing players and total roster control this total piece of garbage, extended demo they have the nerve to call a hockey game, will be gone. You could say next week is the trade deadline.......LOL.

There's something definitely funny going on in my game.

It's exactly like you said, although I haven't changed any sliders from default for several games since I gave up on tweaking, but it's like the game reverts to a different under the hood arcade game for stretches. Like where literally sliders are disregarded.

Doesn't matter if it's pro, allstar, or superstar. I've had an 11-0 win on allstar and 8 minutes, an I've also lost 9-2 on Pro as Chicago playing Buffalo. The entire game just kicks into NBA Jam where everything goes out the window.

Of course there's guys like Shamwow over here who don't understand core mechanics of games, let alone how sliders work...chalk it up to not finding the secret 1 click near default but using Al Tito BASE and blending it to skill wow gameplay.

Its just so frustrating because despite the missing modes and all the little things they failed to include that used to be there in the past, I keep trying to like this game. I love hockey and I love playing a season and I succumbed to the idea that I may have to do a BeaGM imperfect season with no player edit and limited roster moves this year, but if I cant even get the core gameplay to be some what playable I'm done. The truth is I honestly think that EA developers themselves don't fully understand the slider system and how to make it work or this conversation wouldn't even be taking place. I'm not knocking them or making fun of them I really think they just created something that doesn't quite work as planned and it has morphed into something that they cannot fix because they don't know what is working and what is not.....either that or they just don't care that much and for all the crap we give them I don't think that's true. Man I'm so mad because for two days and 6 games I had this game playing really great and to have it turn to crap on its on leaves me no hope
