The Avs returned to the Pepsi Center ice after 5 days off, looking to build on the back to back wins they picked up in Western Canada. They got off to a slow start after taking an early penalty and failing to clear the puck as Colton Sissons scored yet another goal against the Avalanche. Just 4 minutes later Colorado found themselves down by 2 after veteran defenseman Mattias Ekholm beat Grubauer from the high slot. Despite their advanatage in SOG the Avs went into the intermission trailing by 2. The 2nd period opened with Nashville applying some pressure but Grubauer was able to keep the defecit at 2. Later in the period MacKinnon gathered the puck in his own zone and showed why he is one of the best players in the NHL when he took it end to end and beat Saros upstairs. Despite more positive play the Avs were still trailing entering the 3rd. The 3rd period was all Colorado however. The Avs tied the game on a vintage Mikko Rantanen backdoor tap in after a nice saucer feed from captain Gabe Landeskog. The Avs kept pressuring and scored the game winning goal on a Brandon Saad deflection after some strong cycle play in the offensive zone. After one quick game at home the Avs head back on the road to take on another division foe, the Winnipeg Jets.

Is it your spreadsheet ? This should be in the Calender to review every past Game during the complete Season.

Thank you! The box score table is from the link in the original post. There are tools in there for a lot of other sports games too. The overall layout I definitely copied from posting feedback on TNK's sliders from his thread in the sliders setion. I just started doing this over the weekend so I am open to suggestions of other types of things you would find interesting in these posts.

This is great! I live in KC and there is definitely some KC Scouts stuff around in the local rink where my beer league games are. Also can't wait until I can attend some Mavericks games again. Are you playing or simming the games? Do you use any sliders? I started this thread from getting addicted to posting game recaps as feedback on TNK's slider set.

It's probably been a mix of sim/play. No sliders at the moment, playing on default All-Star Full Sim. I'm kind of tempted to have you buy me a shirt and send me it and I'll venmo you haha

I think there is a schedule importing thing in the link I put in the original post. I will look into compiling them all into one season, that would be kind of cool.

Thx I found it. Would like to have it in an Excel Spreadsheet to use it for my Franchise in NHL 20. EA NHL is so weak in statistics. It would be easy to implement the Game review in the Calender of the Game to watch past Games in Franchise mode.

Franchise Mode Game 19 Washington Capitals at Colorado Avalanche

Working to extend their winning streak to 7 games, the red hot Avs welcomed Eastern Conference opponent Washington Capitals to the Pepsi Center. The Capitals controlled much of the play during the 1st period, but former goaltender Philipp Grubauer was up to the task. With the game scoreless to start the 2nd period, the Capitals started right where they left off and took the lead just over a minute into the frame. Ovechkin entered the zone with a pass from Carlson, and fed Vrana in front to break the scoreless tie. Just when it was starting to look like the it might not be the Avs night, the Avs finally ended their cold streak on the power play. Colorado moved the puck to Kadri at the point, and his wrister was deflected in by MacKinnon for his 10th goal of the season, and 200th of his career. The Avs started to pick up the pace after the goal and took the lead with just over a minute left in the middle period. Makar took a rebound off of Grubauers pads and flew up the ice through the neutral zone to find a streaking Donskoi to finish the play. Looking to protect the lead in the 3rd, the Avs didn't generate much offensive zone time or many chances. During one of their few offensive sequences, some nice cycling in the zone led to a Jost goal to seal the game. The Capitals pulled the goalie to try and get back in it, but MacKinnon sealed the win with a late empty net goal.
