Franchise Mode Game 22 Colorado Avalanche at Arizona Coyotes

In the finale of a three game road swing out West the Avs took on the Coyotes down in the desert. The NHL season is long and some games can turn into slogs, that would be the case tonight. The Avalanche put the pressure on Arizona all night with an aggressive forecheck. In a low event game, the Avalanche came out with a narrow 1-0 win courtesy of a Brandon Saad goal set up by a beautiful Mikko Rantanen deke. Jason Demers' equipment is still being searched for. Besides the deke, the only worthy highlight of the game was the Avs shutting down 5 Arizona powerplays. The Avalanche return home tomorrow night to take on division rival Dallas.

Re: NHL 21 Franchise Mode Stories

I'm going to pause on the updates for a bit while I look for a new slider set. I've been using TNK sliders, which play well, but it's the first time ever I have felt like an NHL game is too easy on All Star. I made some tweaks and I'm running them on Superstar to see how it goes. I haven't tried Al Tito's yet. He does great work but I usually find them way too frustrating to stick with long term. Anyone here using other sliders they recommend?

Great to see the lower shot totals, but the lower scores (avg 4-5 goals per game) is a little concerting. Any way to bump this up without blowing up shot totals to 30 for each team?

Re: NHL 21 Franchise Mode Stories

so I sacked by head coach, my team was only a 54% fit for his system and all my lines had 0 or negative chemistry. I promoted my assistant to Interim HC and the team is a 76% fit. Changed all the lines, now every line has positive chemistry, some are +5, others +3 and +1. The team is now 18-4-3 under his reign (all simmed but 2 games) and have turned me into conservative buyers at the deadline. I added Mikael Granlund from Nashville, Mikhail Grigorenko from Columbus and Jordan Eberle from NYI.

The only downside is after the deadline and messing with the lines, my 3rd and 4th line now have 0 chemistry where as before they were +1. At least it's not a negative. But my top two lines are +3 now.

Are you referring to my game posts or a specific slider set?

These uniforms are SHARP. Excellent work.

I saw your post on there about trying it on Superstar and winning 5-1. Cycloniac just released his so I plan on trying his and Al Tito tomorrow night.
