Woods Leads Trojans to Victory

Robert Woods snags a high TD pass in the 3rd quarter

Dillon Baxter kicks off the scoring of the game on this 7 yard TD. Baxter took the Lead Draw play right up the middle and had to fight for the last few yards as he dragged the Colorado defenders with him across the goal line. Baxter finished the day with 64 yards rushing on 11 carries.

Later in the second quarter, already up 7-0 Matt Barkley finds WR Brice Butler who took the pass 52 yards to pay dirt to give the Trojans a 14-0 lead. The TD was one of Butlers 3 catches on the day. He finished with 108 yards. His first 100 yard game of the season.

Colorado finally got on the board with a 57 yard run with 4:11 remaining in the second quarter. Creer was the only bright spot the Buffaloes had this game rushing for 114 yards and a touchdown. On a day where the Buffaloes struggled to find offense, he was the one consistent threat they could rely on.

Superman Woods would make an incredible diving catch right before half (0:14 remaining) to put the Trojans up 21-7 heading into the half. Woods made a nice break on his defender and was able to adjust to the high throw by Matt Barkley. This was Woods first of 2 TD's on the day.

After a Colorado field goal to start the second half, Matt Barkley once again connected with Robert Woods, this time on a 74 yard pass where Woods made several jukes to reach the end zone. Woods finished the day with 143 yards and 2 TD's. His best game of the season.

After an Andre Heidari FG, freshman (redshirt) Amir Carlisle continues to shine as he breaks a 52 yard run to daylight. Carlisle finished with 71 yards on the day as the teams leading rusher. Carlisle continues to push for more playing time as he is beginning to take carries away from DJ Morgan and Curtis McNeal.

Have a question for you real quick. I'm playing a separate dynasty that i'm not updating online. Brandon Carswell went up 5 overall points in like 5 weeks during season. Did that happen to you??

I honestly don't remember but I don't think so. I'm in year 2 now so he's already gone. How often are you playing him? I had him behind Prater and Farmer and Butler and of course Woods so he didn't get much action.

Great Dynasty you give me ideas for my Oregon won, Do u play every play ? this may sound kinda odd but i play 2 plays and then sim 2 plays, back and forth, I guess i still kinda want the world of sim involved to cause u can get some good stats on Simulation. Plus my QB Darron Thomas has better real life runs for the most part on sim plays then when i try to pick a option or read option play and then play it. But ya great dynasty

Yes i play every play. I let the CPU call the plays though with "Ask Coach" and I just select those.

nice nice, ya i try different things. Iam actually picking plays but ill let them run the play, like with auto pass and all that, more of the coaching feeling lol.

I just hate how options dont work as well while watching the play as they do when it happens in a simulated play, i mean ya sometimes it works..

Happy to see BSU finally pull off a win. I can't believe they are playing that poorly. I looked ahead to next year and even though Moore and Martin are gone, I will still have Southwick who improves a tone, Wright who has 10 rushing TD's for me this year and 3 games over 100 yds and 1 game over 200 yds, plus a solid WR core. The only thing that I can think that will kill me is the graduation of 10 of my 12 starting Defensive players.

another thing i've started doing is using the QB lock on plays so after every throw the game is out of my hands for YAC and running games. Adds a different camera angle and some type of sim
