Re: Welcome to Tiger Land A Grambling State Football Dynasty(NCAA 07 PS2)

Grambling, LA: The Tigers are ready for their first home game of the season after playing their first two games on the road. This week they welcome the McNeese State Cowboys from Lake Charles, LA. Both are former FCS schools in their first year at the FBS level. Before the game coach had to suspend starting FB Ruben Mayes for the first half of play for walking out of team meetings during the week. Coach let his players know if you break the rules you will have to pay the price. The Tigers took the field for the 6pm kickoff ready to make the home crowd happy. Unfortunately things did not work out as planned. Grambling jumped to out a quick but small lead at the end of 1 with score 3-0 Grambling but that would be all they were able to muster against a stout Cowboy D. McNeese would then answer with 38 unanswered points over the next 3 Quarters to hand the Tigers their 2nd L of the season. Final in this one 38-3. After the game Coach Roman had this to say:

The Tigers will host 1-2 Jackson State. Can Grambling turn things around next week and put another one in the Win column? If we know anything that the Bands will be there and the crowd will party to the sounds of the "Sonic Boom" and the "World Fame Marching Band from Tiger Land"

Re: Welcome to Tiger Land A Grambling State Football Dynasty(NCAA 07 PS2)

Grambling, LA: Week 4 saw the Grambling State Tigers host the Jackson State Tigers. This one would be a wild day in the rain. Grambling would strike first to go up 7-0. Jackson State would be forced to punt on their next possession but were able to down the ball inside the 5. The JSU Defense would push Grambling back getting force a Safety on the Drive. That's when things would start to get UGLY for Grambling. As Landers dropped back to pass he over shot his intended WR and JSU picked him. That would be the story of the day as Grambling turned the ball over 8 times. Jackson State was able to walk out of Grambling with a 54-42 victory.

Brandon Landers: This one is us as players. As the leader of this team I will be the first to stand up and say we did not do our job today. Anytime you turn the ball over that much you don't deserve to win. We must work on that before we can want to get better.

Grambling heads to south Louisiana to face a 1-2 UL Lafayette squad.

Lafayette, LA:
Week 5 saw the Tigers face the Ragin' Cajuns of UL Lafayette. This one was not close at all. As speed and skill showed early in this game. ULL jumped out to a 10 point 1st Quarter lead and never looked back. As Qb Anderson put on a show. Grambling now falls to 1-4 on the year after a 48-3 throbbing.

Tallahassee, FL: Week 7 saw the Tigers travel down to Florida to face MAC foe Florida A&M. Before the game coach has to suspend starting DE Jason Hatcher for academic reason. Hatcher will only be out for 1 game. This was a battle of 1 win teams as both were trying to end losing streaks. Grambling came out and struck first in this shoot out. Landers hit WR Clyde Edwards over the top for a 50yd TD. FAMU would quickly respond as they marched right down the field to score making it 7-7. This one would go back and forth all day. By the end of the 1st it was Grambling leading 14-7. At the Half it was all tied up 28 all. This would come down to the 4th Quarter and who wanted it more. The Tigers just wanted it more than the Rattlers today as the G-Men put up 28 in the 4th to get their SECOND win of the season 63-49.

Coach Roman: We were able to get back on the good side of things today. These young men worked really hard during the bye week and it showed today. We simplified things on both sides of the ball to fit our players instead of trying to make the players fit our style.
Up Next:
It will be HomeComing in Grambling, LA as the Tigers host Alabama State who is 0-7 on the year and would love nothing more than to spoil HC for the Tigers and the 2 recruits that will be visiting.

SS William Buckley of Hernando, MS:
Will currently has Grambling as he number 1 school he has Average Potential and Excellent Discipline

MLB Clifford Boyd of Port Allen, LA: Cliff also has Grambling as his number 1 school. He has Poor ratings in Potential and Discipline so he will have to get his act together but will fill a much need spot if he commits.

Re: Welcome to Tiger Land A Grambling State Football Dynasty(NCAA 07 PS2)

Week 8
College GameDay is coming to live from Lincoln, NE. We have #6 Texas visiting #9 Nebraska. This should be a good one in a match up of BigXII North vs South.

Chris Fowler: Before we get into the big game of the day lets see what other interesting games we have today.

Kirk: Boy what a slate of games do we have here are some that stick out.

#12 West Virginia(5-1) @ UConn(5-1)
#19 Bama(6-1) @ #24 Tennessee(4-2)
#21 Colorado(6-1) @ #2 Oklahoma(6-0)
UCLA(4-2) @ #5 Notre Dame(5-1)
NC State(5-1) @ #16 Maryland(6-0)
#25 Ga Tech(4-2) @ #11 Clemson(7-0)

Coach: Boy, I'll tell you those are good game there my Buckeye buddy. Lots of teams starting to set themselves apart from the pack.

Chris: Now to the Big Game of the week. This game will be a match up of the Top 2 Defenses in the country. UT is ranked #1 allowing only 188.2yds a game. While the Black Shirts are ranked #2 not far behind only giving up 190.7yds a game. This one should come down to who's Defense can stand tall. I Think UT pulls it out in a close one
(Nebraska Fans Boo!)

Kirk:
Well Chris I'm going to have to disagree with you on that one. I think these fans give Nebraska the each push they need. I'm taking the
Huskers
(Crowd Cheers)

Coach:
Let's look at it like this UT is averaging 33pts a game while Nebraska is averaging 41 a game. That tells me one team knows how to score a little bit better. Give me that hat

(Crowd goes crazy)
