Good luck with the Phins it's gonna be a huge mountain to climb lol

Well I’m definitely with you on Osweiler. He’s legit useless and doesn’t deserve to be on a roster. Tannehill I’m going to give a shot this year and see how that goes. I’m definitely going to elevate Petty to QB2 over Osweiler in case Tannehill happens to miss any more time.

It’s going to be a huge uphill climb but I’m definitely enjoying it! Thanks for checking in!

It was a long afternoon for Phillip Rivers and his offense as he suffered seven sacks including this one where seemingly the entire front seven was able to get to him all at the same time.

Although only able to secure one catch on the day in Miami's run-heavy offensive gameplan, DeVante Parker showed he was able to create separation against corner Trevor Williams here on a deep in cut.

Mike Gesicki plays to the away crowd as he looks for some love on his first career TD grab. The rookie tight end is proving to be a major contributor in the passing game and is perhaps the most reliable option Tannehill has at this point.

Rivers was victimized trying to use and abuse his top target - 2nd year receiver Mike Williams - one too many times as slot corner Tony Lippett got his hands on a ball that was left too far behind the massive 6'4" 218-pound Williams.

After a sub-par Week 1 performance, Kenyan Drake was just getting started early in the 3rd quarter as his 12th carry of the game got him to the 60-yard plateau, doubling his yardage from the first game of the season. He was far from done in this one.

Drake didn't do it all alone. While he was able to break a few tackles on his own, he got a ton of help from his offensive line and blocking tight end A.J. Derby as he was able to seal the edge on this outside run to free Drake for his longest run of the game (46 yards) before being tackled just outside the endzone.

Kenyan Drake got the offense down close to the goal line and Mike Gesicki sealed the deal with his second receiving TD of the game, giving the Dolphins a dominant 20-3 lead.

The Chargers showed great fight by keeping themselves in the game with this blocked punt by rookie first round pick Derwin James as able to slip the block and get a hand on this Matt Haack punt.

Three plays later Rivers stood unmolested in the pocket and found Mike Williams for an easy pitch-and-catch to make it a 10-point game late in the 3rd quarter. Unfortunately for the Chargers, these would be the last points they would score for the rest of the game.

Kenyan Drake put the nail in the coffin with this 24-yard TD scamper as he was able to outrun the LA secondary. On his 31st touch of the young season, Drake put his first (of hopefully many!) touchdowns on the board for the Dolphins!

S1W3 - MIA Roster Moves

In a somewhat surprising move, the Miami Dolphins have decided to cut Frank Gore from their roster. After five unproductive carries in Week 1, yielding just one single yard, Gore was demoted to RB3 behind rookie Kalen Ballage for Week 2. Kenyan Drake carried the rock 22 times while Ballage got 10 totes himself. Gore never left the sideline all game and it is being reported that the breakup is a mutual decision between player and team.

Gore, the 35-year old veteran, signed with his hometown Dolphins expected to end his career in Miami after playing his high school and college career in the city. With the Dolphins cutting him loose, Gore is hoping to find a contender to sign with and help in spurts towards perhaps winning a title.

With the running back room looking very light, having only two players in it with the departure of Frank Gore, the Dolphins front office signed 26-year old Kerwynn Williams to add a little depth behind Drake and Ballage. The four-year veteran brings solid quickness, ball security and receiving ability and will be able to fill in if injury were to occur to the other two backs ahead of him on the depth chart.

-----

Editor's Note: As I was searching for a HB to sign, I noticed that the Patriots had placed Sony Michel on the practice squad. As a huge New England fan - and being crazy excited to see Michel excel in our offense - it took a ton of self control to not sign him to my roster. I like to keep things as realistic as possible, so cutting Gore and signing Williams was a much more realistic scenario than signing Michel. God that hurt!

S1W3 - MIA & ARI Agree To Trade

In a trade offer that came out of nowhere, the Arizona Cardinals contacted the Miami Dolphins on the availability of 32-year old defensive end William Hayes. Hayes had started for the Dolphins at left defensive end through the first two games of the season and compiled 11 tackles (6 solo) including two sacks. Two highly productive games, the Cardinals are banking on pairing Hayes with Chandler Jones will give them a dynamic pass rush.

With Hayes on the move, newly acquire free agent defensive end Robert Quinn, formerly of the Los Angeles Rams, will step in and be the new starter. In sub duty, Quinn has two tackles - one being a sack - playing in the nickel and dime packages as a pass rush defensive tackle. Having a younger option on the bench, plus the need to rebuild this defense through the draft, was more than enough of a reason for the team to move on from Hayes. Add an enticing first round pick from Cardinals, as well as being able to move him to the NFC, and it was a no-brainer for the Miami brass.

Ryan Tannehill was feeling it early and often, displaying great anticipation as he delivers this pass to DaVante Parker before the receiver even makes his break. With Week 1's debacle of a game out of the way, the 5-year veteran has looked better with each passing game.

Raekwon McMillan has been a man possessed this season and makes quick work of an Isaiah Crowell block to take down Josh McCown for his 3rd sack in as many games this season.

After two quiet games to start the season, DaVante Parker victimized the Jets secondary for eight grabs, 151 yards and this touchdown. He was able to get loose and find a soft spot in the zone to haul in his first TD of the season.

Old reliable Danny Amendola finds just enough space in the back of the end zone, hauls in the reception and gets both feet down in bounds to give Ryan Tannehill is second score of the game.

Kenyan Drake was bottled up for most of the game but was able to outrun Leonard Williams and make his way into the endzone on this run. This was his 7th carry of the game, gaining just his 8th yard after a 200+ yard performance last week.

Tannehill's clean game goes bye-bye on this deep shot to Jakeem Grant. The speedster let the ball hit his hands, pop up into the air behind him and watches as Jamal Adams grabs the easy interception.

After the turnover, the Jets marched down the field and scored their first touchdown of the game as Isaiah Crowell walks in after waiting for his blocks to take form. Rookie safety Minkah Fitzpatrick gets blown out of the hole by the fullback and doesn't even get within an arm's length of the ball carrier.

DaVante Parker has three receptions on three straight plays. This was the result of the fourth play of the series: a massive collision over the middle, a tipped ball into the air and Tannehill's 2nd INT of the game as Trumaine Johnson picks it off before it hits the turf.

Finally! Kenyan Drake gets loose as the Dolphins were able to keep the New York defensive line out of the backfield, seal the edge and get him into open space. This 75-yard run looked to be the game-winner until...

...Kalen Ballage fumbles trying to burn clock! David Bass rips the rock out of the rookie's hands (who was only in the game because Drake was exhausted) and allows fellow linebacker Darron Lee to scoop it and score to bring the game within two points! A successful two-point conversion sent the game to overtime!

The New York Jets won the coin toss and received to open overtime. After a long, extended drive saw them facing a 3rd and 1 in the red zone, the Dolphins were able to get a huge stop and forced a field goal. Closer than an extra point, Cairo Santos knocked it home, giving the Jets a three-point lead with just 2:30 left on the clock. All the Jets had to do was keep the Dolphins out of the end zone and they were leaving with - at worst - a tie.

And then Albert Wilson happened! With a strong wind in Cairo Santos' face, the kickoff fell into his hands at the 8-yard line. A strong wedge in front of him, making one guy miss and sprinting around and past the kicker ended with Wilson and the Dolphins walking off with an overtime win over their division rival!

Thanks brutha! We have played better than expected but it’s also been an easy portion of the schedule. Winning is nice but rebuilding is more important.

S1W4 - NO (2-0-1) vs. MIA (2-1)

An early mistake by Ryan Tannehill put the Dolphins in the hole early as he throws into triple-coverage leading to the first INT of the day.

The rookie Minkah Fitzpatrick makes up for his quarterback's mistake as he records the first interception of his young career on the ensuing drive. Drew Brees tried to force feed Michael Thomas - and rightfully so - but the rookie read the route perfectly, timed his jump and snagged the INT. He then outran the offense en route to a pick six!

The Saints offensive line bulldozed the front seven of Miami all game long. After Raekwon McMillan left the game with a broken bone in his foot, backup MLB Mike Hull came in to replace him. As seen here, he wasn't a factor in the run game as he is being manhandled and blown out of his spot.

Michael Thomas flexing on the Dolphins after he scored this touchdown in the first half. He finished the game with eight grabs for 144 yards and one TD.

Another mistake by Tannehill as this time he didn't read the linebacker dropping into a zone off of the snap. Trying to get the rock to DaVante Parker, the linebacker made a great read and showed impressive hands as he elevates for this interception.

Danny Amendola was clutch on this catch as Ryan Tannehill left the pass just behind him on a slant over the middle. As he crossed the goal line and hauled in the pass, he was sandwiched between two defenders but was still able to hold on for the TD.

Blitz busted! Tannehill read that the Saints were sending pressure and found his safety valve in Kenny Stills over the middle. With only one man to beat, Mike Gesicki walled him off and Stills was in for an easy score.

Alvin Kamara got in on the action on this goal line carry. As soon as he took the rock from Drew Brees, there was no question he was finding paydirt untouched as the offensive line blew open a gaping hole for him to walk through.

Steven Means, who was signed as a free agent prior to this game due to the Dolphins' lack of depth on the defensive line, records a huge sack in the 4th quarter on 3rd down! The Dolphins trailed by four and this not only held New Orleans to just four points but gave Miami's offense the ball back with time to spare to attempt a game-tying TD drive.

On 4th down and needing 10 yards to pick up a first down, Ryan Tannehill left this one just a bit out of Danny Amendola's reach. The Dolphins' comeback would come up just short and they would be leaving London with their second loss on the young season.
