Some PC graphics are much better now than current PS3 stuff. I am more concerned with fluid linking of animations than how good static graphics look. I think the graphics are very good now have been for the past few years. Animations need more work though quite a few are very good right now.

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
We haven't even begun to approach diminishing returns. I advise you to get a larger tv or some glasses. The game can look ridiculously better on PS4. The PS3 is 7 year old tech ffs. SMH.
Polygon counts are one very small aspect of overall graphic power. PCs make the PS3 look like dog crap. I can supersample most games eliminating near every jaggy in existence and play on ultra whenever I feel like it. The difference between something like BF3 on PS3 vs PC is laughable it's so large.Comment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
My fantasy would be for them to set up a deal with a stats website (like a baseball-reference.com kind of thing) so that you have access to all those kind of stats from the past, and then your franchise generates new stats for the "website" as you progress into the future.
Not sure what kind of money it would cost for each gamer to have their own archived stats website like that. I'd imagine it would cost above and beyond the price of the game itself. I'd pay an extra 20 bucks for that luxury to be able to have a Baseball Reference website blending real-life stats and my franchise stats.Red LegendComment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
Here is my list of things I think can and should be added to a future version of the show on the PS4
-Ability to use the PS4 controller touch pad to determine location when pitching.
-Updated graphics/AI for fans. Including more chants, not chanting MVP in April for a guy with a .220 BA, the wave, a better understanding of the situation on the field and reacting in a relevant way (not cheering very loud for a team thats losing 10-0.
-Ability to create a team, move a team, build a stadium, change team colors, change team logo
-Ability to influence surrounding market size to increase/decrease market. This is far fetched but stick with me. When given a budget by the owner you could be given the option to use some of your budget for community outreach, funding local businesses, or holding fundraising events. This in turn would help to increase fan morale, attendance and overall market size (should you fund businesses) all of which would could help your team budget in the long run. Some teams would be effected more than others. Teams really do this and it would be an interesting strategic game play element.
-Expansion teams and expansion draft.
-More stadium views such as showing fans entering pregame, overhead views, shots of the home city.
-Inclusion of MLB international games (similar to the 2014 season opening in Australia)
-Uncontrollable factors that effect players. (sickness, maternity leave, personal leave of absence)
My Biggest Wish!
-PLAYER PERSONALITIES!!!! Each player being given 1-2 personality traits (Easily angered, happy guy, lazy, inspirational, leader etc.) that can effect player/team morale. You can go many routes with this including having it change how the player reacts on the field (smiling all the time, never smiling, gets in fights easier, doesn't always run at full speed, etc.). Furthermore having player personalities should have repercussions or be changeable depending on other personalities on the team or options that you can choose. For example a lazy player can become less lazy when on a team with some inspirational players or leaders, OR you can have the option to discipline a lazy player for not running. This could cause the shedding of the lazy trait but with the risk of angering them, lowering their morale or causing them to demand a trade. I know this seems like too much, but it would add a Sims/RPG element to the game that would make it realistic beyond belief. Baseball is a very individual sport where player personalities are very noticeable, I believe to have a realistic game you have to capture this.
I don't want to see Mariano Rivera smiling and fist pumping like Grant Balfour after every save. It's not realistic at all.Comment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
I really want pitchers ratings for facing lefties and righties."I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed"

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
I want to see the presentation game of RTTS improved. I want you player to actually feel like he's alive instead of just playing one position in an exhibition game. I'm looking for something like 2K is doing with NBA myPlayerComment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
they could at least put in some signature animations, and/or allow some editable animation for each player and each situation encountered in-game. The PS4 should have enough power to do that unlike PS3. NBA 2K has signature animations for little things like celebrations and other routine habits that some NBA players have sort of trademarked, so there is a model for this in place. Because the op is right, I hate seeing albert pujols act like a scrub off the bench would every time he does something.Red LegendComment
