Even with his IRL demotion to AAA, the Royals are said to be thinking highly of him. They've invested a lot of time on him so I'd say his spreadsheet value of Low B+High C is a valid asking price.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

A couple weeks ago, I had received advice from you all about Cervelli, whom I am interested in trading. One offer I was suggested was Cervelli for Dee Gordon straight up. I was thinking now that I am not too interested in Dee and was wondering what you think would be a good return in relief from Los Angeles. I was thinking Chris Withrow?

Keep in mind I am the Yankees and have yet to start my franchise. This is all for future reference.

Lastly, what do you think about Cody Asche's value? His name has come up in here recently. As a big Husker fan I am intrigued. Is it realistic to target him with Franco already at third? What would be a fair offer?

      Thanks appreciate the help.

Cervelli is a low C and Withrow at least one high C, maybe an additional high C or even a low B (if you were to convert him back into a SP). Withrow is the 6th ranked prospect in the Dodgers organization according to BA.

What else beside Cervelli csn you spare for Withrow?

Hmm well yeah I guess Asche is expendable if Franco is playing well and seems ready to take over. Asche for Greg Bird?

Not sure if you saw but the CPU made a trade that I was considering undoing, but I haven't. It was ethier and withrow to LAA for cowart and de la rosa. So in my franchise the dodgers no longer have Ethier. I guess I'd be willing to give up Byrd because that would open an immediate spot for Pederson, but Byrd is hitting near .300 and has been my most consistent hitter. If he's needed to get the trade done id gve him up I guess, otherwise I'd give Mayberry or something ( he's sort of like a 4th OF I guess)

Byrd fits the veteran experience a contending team would look for if you''re making that playoff push. Mayberry is nothing special in this case if you ask me.

In real life the phillies have talked about moving Asche to the outfield to make room for Franco at 3rd. I'm not sure they would deal Asche so soon into his career, but if they got an offer that blew them away they might. That's just in real life though, and I'm a huge Asche fan.

Yeah, like I said I'd be willing to part with Byrd if it would be necessary to get the deal done. What would I be getting, probably just Pederson and Lee?

Do you guys have some suggestions on who I could trade for if I'm looking for a defensive middle infielder? Or even OF? Primarily a bench/platoon guy that wouldn't cost much to bring in. (I'm playing as the Cards, OSFM Opening Day).

Don't care at all about hitting. Just tired of giving up cheap base hits.

I appreciate the help guys. I should have done my research on Withrow, had no clue he was the sixth best spec. I'll keep thinking about it. As for Asche, it is unlikely I do deal for him but I like to keep my options open. Anyways always appreciate the help.

Given that you've added Byrd to the deal and that there's some slight additional value remaining from the Pederson/Z.Lee side of the swap, I think you could get Ross Stripling/Matt Magill plus Pedro Baez.

So, I think I'm going to try and send Latos to the Phillies (They are still in the thick of the Nl East) in some kind of package for JP Crawford. Thoughts? And who else should be included on either side.
What if signatures didn't mean anything?

I'm a pretty big fan of Moustakas, so i will look into that, is Asche, Biddle, Lee, for Moustakas and Ventura fair? I doubt it. But just wondering.

I don't think the Phillies have enough minor league talent to get the deal done without parting with Dom Brown which wouldn't make sense if they're in the NL East race like you said.

Assuming you want a SS in return (Crawford), how about sending Latos to the Dodgers for a package including Corey Seager?
