The Rangers currently have Jurickson Profar (79 OVR, A POT) and Utilityman Josh Wilson (60 OVR, D POT) on the DL but both are set to come off within a week or two. Josh Wilson was batting .187 in 112 ABs. Donnie Murphy (75 OVR, C POT) has played the majority of the Rangers' games at 2B, hitting .230/.295/.383 with a .959 Fielding%.

Luis Sardinas is labeled a Top-50 Prospect at SS with an "A" Potential and a .292/.345/.416 line in AA, 7 SBs, .975 Fielding%. Rougned Odor is a "B" Potential 2B with a .313/.389/.417 line in AAA with 4 SB, 2 HR, and a .981 Field%.

Ben Zobrist is Ben Zobrist. He's got one year left on his contract, making $11.1 M.

The Rangers' 2014 Team Budget is set at $139 M, with $10.3 M available right now. The Rays' 2014 Team Budget is set at $116 M, with $10.1 M available right now.

I'm inclined to let the computer decide if it wants to make this trade rather than reject it outright, as I have the majority of the (admittedly small number of) trades it has proposed this year.

What say the sages of the Trade Discussion Thread?
I don't see the point of Texas making this deal being 6.5 GB if Profar only out for 1-2 weeks. If it was 1-2 months then that changes things

They should just call up Odor for the 2 weeks..

Spreadsheet has Odor and Sardinas worth a Mid B and High C well Zorbist is worth a Low A and Mid B, so the deal itself is pretty fair compared to most CPU trades that typically offer a RP for Top-50 prospects.

      Royals get:

      Jean Segura
      Tyler Thornburg
      Brandon Kintzler

      Brewers get:

      Alcidis Escobar
      Billy Butler
      Francisley Bueno

Highly doubt that Brewers would deal Segura with Butler hitting like that and the fact he is a F.A. next season.

Oh sorry, I forgot to say I was considering manually injuring Profar for another month or so since he's still out in real life. Didn't seem fair.

(I'm doing this for a lot of the big-name players who're still injured IRL.)

Still don't like it personally. Both Sardinas and Odor have made it to the MLB in real life and have played well. I could understand if Texas was in a battle for 1st place or at least in the WC hunt mid July/late July, I still think they would be best served moving Odor up to the majors and Sardinas up to AAA and stay with what they got, especially if you are doing real life injuries, because that means that 3/5th's of the Rangers rotation would be out so I would think adding a SP would be on their wish list more then a 2B/OF.

It's going to take a lot more than that to pry Billy Butler away from the Royals.

It doesn't make much sense for the Royals in my opinion because they're loaded at shortstop in the minor leagues with Hunter Dozier (8th overall pick in 2013) and Adalberto Mondesi among others. The Royals also think that Alcides Escobar is one of the best defensive shortstops in the Major Leagues and their plan is to transition from Escobar to Dozier/Mondesi in 2-3 years.

Acquiring Segura creates a log jam for them at short and Thornburg and Kintzler are just relievers. The Royals aren't going to let Butler slip away for that type of package. As a point of reference, the Royals were asking for one of Walker/Hultzen/Paxton and potentially more from the Mariners in return for Butler. That's a little outlandish in my opinion because I don't think Butler is anywhere close to being an elite hitter.

Bottom line, if Butler is having a bad season, the Royals will just hang onto him and exercise his option.

I've heard that sound 3 times... once was Babe Ruth, the second was Josh Gibson, and the third was Bo Jackson- Buck O'Neil

If you're going for realism this makes no sense at all, even with Butler struggling.. Royals are loaded at SS and Jean Segura would kind of mess their plan up and I doubt anyone would want a struggling DH who can't hit over .250.. if you're not going for realism gonna need more info

Would Allen Craig be available if Grichuk, Piscotty, and Taveras are up and already rated better than him? I'm in the off season heading into year 3. Craig is rated as an 81 and is 31 y/o. He hit .252 last year.
The others hit well this past season, not on right now so can't say specifics, but none of them hit lower than .270

How well has Matt Adams done, because the Cards could always move Craig back to 1st base. However not sure how great a .252 hitting 1B is, oh wait the M's have J. Smoak, so a .250 hitter would be a huge upgrade.

Lol, I'll get on later and post stats.
I just want another bat in the lineup. I traded for Trumbo last year and signed Edwin Encarnacion this off season so I would like to get Craig to compliment them. I hate to say it but I can possibly throw Jon Singleton in the deal, he has turned into a high C but still produces for me hitting .260-.270. I signed a 19 y/o 1B with a 73 Ovr and nice potential so Jon is kinda in his way.

Assuming Adams is playing at least decent he'd be available, just find a place where the Cards are weak on the big league roster/ need depth and we can work out a deal.

Adams hit .287 last year. I see the Cardinals could use some INF prospects so I can give SS Nolan Fontana (low B potential), 2B Tony Kemp (mid B pot). Also I am give up Jonathan Villar who hasn't hit very well but has played some sold defense for me, he is 24 with a low B potential. A lot of my good prospects are pitchers and one I don't mind giving up is a 19 year old low A potential asap, with a 55 Ovr. Low overall but he is still 19 and has time to develop.

33 games into my Braves franchise, I was offered a trade from the Dodgers. They offered OF Either & Minor leaguer RP WIthdrow for Double AA SP Graham, SP Sims and SS Perraz. All "B" potential players

I wanted to pulled the trigger, but I saw that Kemp was out for 1 to 2 months. It didn't make any sense to take Either from them. I would have had a crowded OF...

The interesting part of this matter. I have never been offered a trade in all of my 8yrs of playing the Show...
