I felt the same way when it said I was Rookie +++. I was like...Pffft.. I KNOW I'm better than that. LOL... about 6 games later, I'm still at Rookie +++, and having a great time.

      Co-sign to this...

It's not uncommon to have "Level Bias" regarding sliders and settings in sports games, but gameplay remains the key to a satisfying end result...

I hope that going forward, there's an option to toggle off the progress reports...

I'd rather not have the reminder / distraction...

I have to echo this. I've always been a slider/difficulty snob but with sliders that feel right for me and DD, this game is really enjoyable. I had a first ever with my Cubs franchise. Travis Wood throwing a no-hitter. I felt like I earned every pitch, especially in the late innings. Loving the game and so glad I jumped the Xbox ship.

I'm pretty sure that's it. Everything else is default. Playing with the Royals, and using Pulse, and Timing.
These are the same settings I use for DD expect Human power at 5. I did not adjust hitting for either team. The game still has me at Rookie + for batting. I am 15-6 and just dropped 3 in a row to the Dodgers.I have played a few exhibition games on All Star and hitting was not an issue.I like DD it just makes me feel bad, since it is taking forever to go up from Rookie + . I have been at least a vet/allstar hitter in every other show. The games however have had realistic hits etc, so no huge issues with DD for me.

I have always insisted on playing the game on All-Star. I am using DD and am realizing now why I have always been so frustrated with hitting. I'm not anywhere CLOSE to an All-Star hitter. I've made it up to Veteran+ but right now have been sent back to AA ball, i.e. Rookie+. I was even demoted to Rookie for a stretch.

The day that DD promotes me to All Star will be like winning the World Series for me. I hate the reality of my own ineptness but love that DD is now a part of The Show!

I've made it to All-Star+ for my SS in AA. Hitting pretty well.

What does everyone do with their fielding settings? I don't know if I like the manual catch on the infield or not, along with meter throwing, I feel like it makes it pretty challenging to play SS.

                Re: Dynamic Difficulty?

I've played over 20 games now with DD and my hitting hasn't changed an inch. Any progression or regression is quickly rectified or remedied.

I am an All-Star level hitter.

Now my pitching, on the other hand, has been relatively unstable. I went 4 games on AS+, got promoted for 2 games to HOF (and got killed), played another 9 games on AS+ (then got promoted again), and am now on my 3rd game on HOF pitching (again!).

Here's the thing. I use Classic with QC's. HOF is brutal with how erratic the Classic interface is. I'm tempted to "force" a demotion but still plan on trying to play my way through it.

My problem with HOF/QC/Classic is the walks. AS+ felt perfect to me.

Tonight I plan on pumping the strike zone even more and seeing where that takes me. My best guess is that I'll either:

                A. Play my way out of it and adjust. Or...
                B. Get demoted anyway.

Any Classic DD'ers out there? What level are you currently on?

                  Re: Dynamic Difficulty?

I am a pulse DDer but my experience is exactly like yours

I am 18-12 right now with the Nats. My hitting has been on veteran plus for a while, very stable

Pitching wise I will be on all star plus and be getting awesome results, then I got put up to HOF after a shutout by Strasburg and got completely shelled for three straight games. Back to all-star plus and have gone 2-1 but am on verge of getting bumped up again. Wish I could lock it into all star plus. Perfect for me

On HOF I cannt locate a breakimg ball whatsoever no matter who I'm throwing

Sorry. I didn't mean to try and exclude the Pulse/Meter/Analog guys.

I feel EXACTLY the same way.

AS+ is my happy place and I'm half tempted to throw an exhibition game so I can get back there. LOL!

I won't really do that. I trust this game immensely. But I agree with you on wishing I could just select it for awhile.

Quick question for those who may know the answer, because I certainly don't.

Had to leave the house suddenly yesterday in the seventh inning of a game. Does Dynamic Difficulty "save" your progress, even if you have to fast forward to the end of a game due to lack of time?

Just wondering if having to do that reset my "progress"

Yes it does save. There were a couple times in exhibition games that i would fast forward the pitching/defense till then end, then come back in another game and it was where i left off.
