Re: Dynamic Difficulty?
I'm a little confused about DD. Are we supposed to still set sliders with this? Especially for the CPU? I'm playing RTTS at the moment so I was just curious.
Are you guys just using DD with all defaulted sliders at 5? Or do you use Armor's or TNK's sliders?
I don't want skewed or inflated CPU stats also.Comment

Re: Dynamic Difficulty?
So how many games on dynamic difficulty did it take ever one to get to all star for pitching or hitting? I have played 6 games and I have been on veteran pitching +++ for 3 games straight and still not giving up many runs yet I am still on veteran +++ I thought by now that it would have went up to allstar. On hitting I think I am on just veteran+ and have been around that for the last 3 games but my hitting has not been all that good. In 6 games I have scored 27 games and one of those games I scored 10 so that means in the other 5 games I have scored 17 games so that means around 3.5 a game on the other games.Comment

Regardless, I was wondering when I'd actually see a transition to a new difficulty using DD as well. I've not played nearly as many games as many others, so with DD I'm still on Rookie level by pitching has been at +++ for quite some time now and hitting has been at +++, but not for nearly as long as I have been for pitching. I think my hitting would be at the the same progress as pitching, but I've played more online than I have offline and my hitting online is atrocious, there's definitely considerably different timing online vs. off.Comment

Re: Dynamic Difficulty?
So... I have been noticing something that to me seems odd. I am about 6 games into Spring Training, and using Dynamic Difficulty with a few adjustments to my sliders. Anyways,,, Something funky seems to be happening with my DD. It's like it isn't saving correctly or something. I don't know maybe, I just don't understand exactly how it's supposed to carry over to next game etc... But for example, day before Yesterday I played a game. I started out on Veteran +++ pitching, and Rookie batting. By the time the game was finished. (Last inning which was a normal close win) I ended with Veteran ++++ pitching, and Rookie+++ batting. Well last night I loaded up the franchise to play the next game, and at the start I was Veteran + pitching, and back at Rookie batting. Isn't it supposed to pickup where it left off, for the next game? How does it work exactly? Also.... I only have one profile, and I have auto-save after game on. Do you save your sliders in the save screen manually, before you close The Show Application every day? Mine always has a red check mark in on the save screen in (data) tab, so I manually save sliders, and just overwrite the other one.
Anyways, sorry if this is so confusing. I hope somebody will understand what I'm trying to ask here, and give me a hand. Thanks!XBOX Gamertag: KCHuskey

Re: Dynamic Difficulty?
Anytime the sliders prompt to save, I load my slider set (which usually removes the check mark). I then save my Franchise.
As far as DD progression goes, everyone please use this format:
Veteran Progress ++
Or
Veteran + Progress ++
Otherwise I can't help because I have no idea exactly what's happening.
I've had my progress reset as much as one progress + mark. Meaning, I'll have ended the game with Veteran Progress +++ and then I started the very next game at Veteran Progress ++. Nothing drastic like Kchuskey is reporting (if I interpreted his post properly).
I also ALWAYS DISABLE AUTO SAVE.Comment

Re: Dynamic Difficulty?
A. I don't trust it and manually save anyway.
B. Occasionally I'll have to back out of a game and don't want the fast-forwarded results to save when I'm just wanting to quit.
C. In years past it would occasionally cause the game to freeze.Comment

Re: Dynamic Difficulty?
Could you please post a screenshot because I have no idea what "level 11" could possibly be...
Unless you're talking about your Universal Profile. Then in which case it's just a reflection of points you've accumulated while advancing through the game. It's more of an identifier to other users about how good you are and how often you play. And a way for you to track your own playstyle and progress.Comment

Re: Dynamic Difficulty?
Well all it took was 2 games on HOF and I'm already demoted. Not sure if the latest game was a fluke or the by-product of Ryu being absolute trash on this game but Minnesota hit 6 HR's off me in a 7-3 loss. I really wish the PCI made sense, I've grown extremely tired of guys fouling off pitches when the PCI is nowhere near the pitch itself. Kurt Suzuki of all people hit 2 off me, the second was after fouling off 4-5 pitches of which at least 3 were nowhere near his PCI (talking PCI low and its high and away and he somehow hits it hard but foul) they really need to fix that as it kills what should have otherwise been a solid battle. So back to All-Star+ I go, I'll find my way back to HOF just in time for Ryu to take the hill again and get demoted all over again. What I can't stand is the quick demotion or promotion, played 2 games on HOF and shut them down completely the first game with Greinke, second game I give up 6 HR's and 7 runs overall and instant demotion, way to much bouncing back and forth using DD at the moment.Comment
