Not really gameplay related, but that was on my final list of fixes that I left with them. So it was brought to their attention.

I don't know if this was asked before but does the CPU also utilize the slide step?

To be honest I don't recall.

I'll do it! You find confidence at a motivational speaking seminar. (Just make sure it's not Pinocchio) Matt Foley is fine.

I would rather have Pinocchio do it because then you can know he is spewing bull****.

I kinda like the idea of looking forward to chilling in a van down by the river.

Other than addition of a few sliders (one for Dynamic Difficulty, separate fielding-related sliders for infield and outfield), I don't think they work any differently from the past years' games. I'm actually not the type who advocates slider adjustments unless there's specific issues that need to be addressed through sliders, and the gameplay The Show has usually been tuned very well out of the box, and I don't expect things to change.

There are quite a few things that I wish can be adjusted by sliders (e.g., managerial tendencies, CPU discipline), but those options are not available. (And it's not clear if addressing these things I cited through sliders is a good idea or not.)

I think in MLB 14 there are quite a few steal attempts by slow guys that are actually failed hit & run. I didn't really play games extensively enough to see if such an issue exists. Just didn't have enough time to observe things like that reliably myself.

Or did you feel like you were just taking more walks in general, for any reason? Or were you walking at about the same rate?
Personally, I would not describe the new pitch breaks to be "easier" to recognize. They have more life and some pitches have more movement. It might feel it's easier to pick up their telltale signs of movement, but they could also bite more and/or have late movement, which might actually make it harder to be disciplined against border-line pitches on the black, for example.

I don't think the overall effect shows up simply, as in increased walks...

                        2. While batting, is there a way to get a quick menu option to see defensive ratings quickly (arm strength, fielding, speed). I think we lost that menu last year, as well.

Thanks for spending the time to read through and answer, guys. Appreciate it.
For (1): I did not check if the low camera exists... sorry.

For (2): Unfortunately, there isn't a way to view detailed player ratings quickly (you can do that via the pause menu), other than using the d-pad left, which brings up pitchers' core attributes. But I feel there should be a way to quickly view any player's attributes (e.g., by making the batting order menu clickable)... perhaps next year...

Can't believe this slipped my mind - do the spray charts have a greater impact on gameplay? Couple of examples:

Will dead pull hitters try to pull outside pitches in hitter counts, and will they have success doing so?

*pitch location is shown @ 42 seconds

CPU shifts were hardwired to certain players, has this been expanded to all dead pull hitters?

                          And regarding shifts in general:

Is there more flexibility for outfield shifts, i.e. shade left/right instead of a full on shift?

Some teams keep their SS home and move the 3B behind the bag, or even to shallow RF (2B behind the bag) - is there an option for this?

There is a nice addition to the defensive alignment screen this year as it will show the batter's spray chart. In regards to hitter's tendencies I get mixed feelings with this, sometimes I feel it is true and sometimes not at all. I know all this can be dynamic based on several factors but I would like to see push/pull players have more bite when reflecting their real MLB counterpart. If we can't get exact duplication of push/pull tendencies I am hoping we eventually see dynamic spray charts to base our defensive changes to.

As far as varying degrees of shift they are still all the pre-set ones like before and I really feel it is set like that for overall game balance.

I've been wondering about hot/cold zones. Ive never used them to dictate how i pitch to a batter in The Show. So my question is, are hot/cold zone actually useful? Does a batter really "struggle" to hit in the cold zone and vise versa, or is it more a representation of that hitters h/c zones in real life and has no affect in the game?

Does anyone know if they are doing anything different with CO-OP Online Franchise. You could always play a franchise with a buddy together..... if your sitting in the same living room. An out of state friend of mine and I always wanted to play a online franchise together from our own separate living rooms. Does anybody know if the show will have this feature on this years edition????
