Gavin Floyd, Kluber, and Salazar will be pitching this series.
Finished the month of April with a 12-9 record. The AL Central is tight just like real life. I'm a half game up on Detroit (13-11). Royals are in 4th but only 2.5gb...White Sox are the bottom team and it's not looking good for them as they are 2-8 in their last 10.

I'm batting 10th with a .270 team BA. Suprisingly, Jose Ramirez has led the offense with a .365avg 1hr 12rbi. I have him leading off and Bourn bats 9th. Working out well!

    Brantley has struggled with a .266avg 1hr 9rbi.

Just like real life the Indians are struggling mightily against leftys. Brantley batting .186 against LHP. Chisenhall .147, Kipnis .162. I hate facing lefthanders lol. Team is stacked with too many left handed bats honestly.

Carlos Santana leads the team with 5hr. But against RHP he's an abysmal .161

Pitching is not very good. ERA of 4.04 (17th). Kluber is 2-2 4.03era 34k 7bb. Lacking run support. Only had one bad game to open the season. Carlos Carrasco has been my bright spot in the rotation. 3-0 3.00era.

Gavin Floyd after four starts is 2-2 7.84era! With Bauer on the DL for 1-2 months I already have Marcum called up. Really don't want TJ House who just came off injury himself. So I placed Zach McAllister in Floyd's rotation spot and Floyd as my LRP.

McAllister has appeared in 8 games out of the bullpen so far. 0-0 with a 3.38era 17k 3bb so he's been solid. Really hated taking him out of his role but he's the better option over TJ House.

I just lost the first of 4 game series against Toronto. They are a league best 18-5. Doing it with pitching leading with only a 2.52era. And I lost 0-3 so we couldn't hit either the first game. Kluber got the loss after only giving up 1 hit, a solo homerun in 7ip.

m 20-25 with Rays, playing every game. been having trouble getting Longo going with consistency so far, but for whatever reason Desmond Jennings is currently on a tear.

What I really need to do is acquire a bat somehow. Doesnt have to big a name or anything, just another guy with a bit of pop.

I grabbed Will Venable from padres. He has been second on my team with 12 Hr, 8sb and batting .267 out of my 2 hole with Toronto. Nice bat for you to try as acquire.

I'm the angels. First yr (2015). Currently sitting 30-31. 9 gb of oakland and only 1 game out of the 2nd wc. I try to play 1 game a series.

I have a lot of starting pitching. I put weaver, wilson, santiago all on the trading block. Heaney is tearing up aaa also tropeano isn't doing too bad. I have a whole at 2b. Rutledge was a mess I sent him to aaa, giavotella (although solid irl) absolutely terrible in game, grant green has been meh, Tayler Featherston has had a solid yr so far, I just don't trust him long term.

So if I trade a sp I can call u heaney or even put Tyler Skaggs in the rotation.

Any under the radar 2b suggestions? I was thinking utley but he's making a ton of money for my liking

being a Jays fan I would recommend Ryan Goins, I can't remember if he's a SS or a 2nd baseman in the game but he plays both. I personally bat well with him, but his hitting ratings probably aren't that high. he's amazing defensively though.

You could try and grab Chris Taylor or Brad Miller from the M's but Idk if they'd trade them in the division for a SP, unless there were injuries.

Hell, you could get Dustin Ackley for cheap and plug him in at second. He probably doesn't have high stats at 2nd in thr game but he's played there and at first base before.

Re: MLB 15 Franchise Progress Thread

I play as the Nats. Werth was really hot in July, so I traded him plus Ian Desmond to the O's for Adam Jones and JJ Hardy. The move was mainly to off load Werth's contract. Werth and Desmond went on to win OF and SS AL silver slugger. Jones did OK, not great. Hardy made a great #2 hitter to move Span around the bases. As a team, the Nats hit OK, but dominated in pitching.

We steamrolled through the playoffs, sweeping every team. The Nat's pitching was fantastic, and Harper, Ramos and Zimmerman really came alive in the playoffs (all were >.300 avg and 3+ HRs). Game four of the World Series was really tight though; the Angels had a 4 to 2 lead going into the 7th, but Wilson Ramos (series MVP) got a 3 run blast to put the Nats ahead.

In the offseason, I resigned Straus for 11 million for one year, then immediately traded him plus Escobar to the Cubs for Rizzo and a pitching prospect. Zimmerman goes back to 3B and Rendon to 2B. I also landed Jonathan Upton in FA and let Span go. My OF is now Upton, Jones, Harper, from left to right. Roark will be the 5th SP to begin 2016. I plan on bringing up Giolito mid-year.

My biggest problem now is how to set my lineup so that it is effective. I am thinking of: Hardy, Zimmerman, Harper, Ramos, Rizzo, Upton, Jones, SP, Rendon. I like to have a high OBP 9th because Zim and Harper hit 2, 3.

Re: MLB 15 Franchise Progress Thread

I'm 56-32 in my Yankees franchise. Tanaka, Warren, and the newly acquired Kazmir (bought low and traded Tyler Austin and Luis Torrens after he pitched to a 4.50+ ERA with a 2-5 record) have been money for my team this season. The bullpen has been above average, and my offense can't hit a lick (25th in MLB) but finds ways to get on base then steal bases and take the extra base to manufacture runs.

I'm up six game on the Orioles (3 games up in the wild card race) at the All-Star break, so all things are looking good for me to return to the postseason with the Yankees. Stud prospect Luis Severino is pitching well in AAA and is sure to get a look in September when the rosters expand. If anyone falters in the bullpen or if he hits an 80 OVR before September 1, he'll get the call to pitch in the bullpen for the remainder of the season and postseason.

                    <table><td bgcolor=#000F30>End of Season - 2015</td></table>

Well that was sure interesting. Down 3 games to start September what do we do? Lose the first 6 games of the month. We would follow that up with 4 straight wins. Only to lose Another 5 in a row. Sitting at 71-74 with 17 games to go. We win the final game of a series with St Louis. We sweep a 3 game series against Cincinnati. Lose 2 of 3 to Chicago. Sweep a 4 game set against St Louis and then sweep 3 games against San Diego. 12-2 stretch with 8 straight wins to make us 83-76. 2 games behind Chicago for 1st with the last 3 games of they year at home against them. Mets have 1st WC locked up. STL has 2nd at 85-74. Pirates are tied with us at 83-76 2 games back. If Cardinals win 1 game they lock up a playoff spot.

Friday - Cardinals lose. Pirates lose..... We lose/Cubs win... There goes our chance at the division.

Saturday - Cardinals lose. Pirates win..... We WIN/Cubs lose. So going into the final day Cubs at 86 wins. Cardinals at 85, Pirates and us tied at 84. We need to win and a Cardinals loss to force a game 163. If Pirates win as well it forces a 3 way tie for the 2nd WC spot.

Sunday - We win 6-1 in a game that we were not gonna let our selves lose. Gomez and Segura both go 3-4 while Jimmy Nelson goes 6 and gives up 1.

Pirates win their game. We are both tied at 85-77.

Cardinals at Braves. Braves lead 2-1 heading into the 9th... Cardinals get a run to tie... Braves do nothing in the 9th. No score in the 10th or 11th or 12th or 13th. Bottom of the 14th... Freddie Freeman hits a solo shot to walk off 3-2 and sweep St Louis forcing a 3 way tie for the 2nd WC and the Cubs win the dvivsion.

Game 163 vs St Louis - The fun ended for us the day before. Cardinals get 2 in the 1st. 3 in the 5th including 2 runs from bases loaded walks. They added 1 in the 8th to make it 6-0. Gerardo Para hit a solo shot to make it 6-1 in the bottom of the 9th but it wouldnt matter as the next 3 guys were put out to end our season.

St Louis played game 164 the next day against Pittsburgh their game 163. Bottom of the 9th down 3-0. Andrew McCutchen hits a 2 run HR to pull within 1. St Louis brought in Rosenthal who shut it down the rest of the way for his 44th save and send St Louis to New York for the WC game against the Mets.

Baltimore won 8 in a row to force a game 163 with Boston for the 2nd Wild Card and went on to win.

Tigers only won 11 games in September and October to lose their wildcard spot and miss the playoffs. Royals tried their best to give it away going 15-16 the last month+.

                      Try the Player Search function.

Set your primary position to 2B and put in the attributes you're looking for. See what kind of matches you get.

I've reached mid May playing every game. And after starting the year off with a 12-9 record in April, we started off very badly in May. Lost 3 of 4 to Toronto, and then lost 2 of 3 @ Kansas City. I had a 4 game losing streak at one point. Managed to take two of 3 against the Twins, and am now about to play a rubber match against the Cardinals at home.

With Trevor Bauer still on the DL for a couple more weeks I have inserted Shawn Marcum in his rotation spot. He is 0-1 4.24era 17.0ip in three starts. I'm getting ready to pitch his fourth start now, he has the blue snowflake so I'm not very optimistic against the Cards lineup.

Royals and I are tied for the division lead. They are 19-17, and I am not 17-15. Tigers are right behind us at 17-18, with the Twins (15-20), and White Sox (13-21) bringing up the rear.

                        MLB roster moves

4/21- SP Trevor Bauer to 15 day DL (dislocated shoulder); Recalled SP Shawn Marcum from Triple-A

5/6- Optioned 3B Giovanny Urshela to Triple-A (couldn't hit with him); Recalled SS Zach Walters from Triple-A. I love the move already! He's an early .313 1hr 2rbi 2bb in 16 at bats. Like Aviles and can play all over, but has very good power.

5/8- Optioned RP Scott Atchison to Triple-A (Was 2-2 5.63era and declining fast); Recalled RP Carlos Marmol from Tripe-A

Chris Carter as in real life terms strikes out alot but does have 12 Hr's and 42 RBI. i actually benched Gattis (.187 4 Hr 10 RBI) for Springer .258 8 hr 20 RBI). I also just lost Jonathan Villar to a broken ankle and called up Singleton

The Marlins got August off to a good start, but got yet more injuries. Henderson Alvarez will be on the DL for the second time this season, perhaps missing a month. The team also got a scare when Chris Davis had to leave the game after injuring his shoulder when he made a diving stop on a grounder. Fortunately, the injury is just day-to-day.

The Alvarez injury makes the rotation look like a tale of two halves. Heaney, Sanchez and Boeve are the stalwarts while the back two spots are filled by Rule 5 pick up Jeff Hader and the newly acquired Clay Huff.

Or by one of the other dozen good-later-but-mediocre-now pitchers the team has to choose from.

AAA injuries have also limited call-up options. Jacob Turner is still out from an early season injury. Trevor Williams was recently injured and is on the AAA DL. Justin Nicolino is also nursing an injury.

At the plate, Carlos Gonzalez has hit a cold streak, dropping his average from near .360 to under .330. Donovan Solano is fighting through some flu-like symptoms. He's refusing to come out of the lineup and manager Don Mattingly isn't forcing Solano to rest.

"If he wants to play, he must feel well enough to do so. I'm not going to get in the way, " Mattingly commented when asked about Solano's condition.

                            Player Notes:

Chris Davis clubbed his 300th career home run, one of the few bright spots in July for the team.

Clayton Kershaw has overtaken rookie Damian Boeve for the ERA title after the Marlins rookie got hammered in a few of his July starts. Boeve's ERA is around 2.50 now.

Boeve also lost his 14-game winning streak in July. He stands at 15-1.

Carlos Santana has the power stroke working again as he's now up to 21 HR.

Just started with the Rangers. Traded Adrian Beltre and Rougned Odor to the Orioles for Adam Jones and Mike Wright. Also moved Leonys Martin and Robinson Chirinos to the Mets for Travis d'Arnaud.

Won my first game in the 11th 2-1 against the A's, I sim 5 and play one to go through each pitcher in the order.

6 games left one game behind the Pirates for the 2nd wildcard spot. 3 games behind the Reds for the top spot. 5 games behind the Brewers for the division.

Next series is 3 in Pittsburgh. Weird to think that our season could end right here.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(
