The Braves are back in the World Series after beating the Dodgers 4-1 in the NLCS. In game 1 in Detroit, MVP/CY Young Julio Teheran outdueled David Price going 10 innings (yes 10, threw a flat 100 pitches) and getting the win as the Braves won in extras. Game 2, first pitch of the game Eric Young Jr drives a fastball right off of Verlanders chest, and he comes out of the game. So Braves luck out right? Wrong. Ricky Nolasco goes 7 strong giving up 2 hits and a walk only giving up one run.

We head back to Atlanta as Shelby Miller faces off against Anibal Sanchez. The Braves are looking to capture the series lead at home and win back to back World Series

The Braves went on to take a 3-1 series lead with the chance to close out another World Series at the Ted. Instead Julio Teheran could only go 4 innings (stupid ****ing playoff stamina bug) and the bullpen got shelled. Game 6 in Detroit, Alex Wood had a strong performance (7IP, 2ER, 6K, 1BB) but the Braves offense could not muster any sort of offense as David Price shut them down. The Tigers went with their ace for game 6, leaving Justin Verlander to take Game 7. Atlanta's starters all had stamina issues and they were not going to leave their season up to a rookie #5 starter, so they decided to go with a unique approach.

Mike Foltynewicz started the game going 3 innings and giving up no hits. Despite that, Shelby Miller took over in the 4th and went 3 innings as well, only giving up a solo homer to ALMVP, Miggy Cabrera. Julio Teheran came in and slammed the door shut in the 7th, 8th, and 9th innings as the Braves cruised to a rather anti-climatic win behind the offense of one man, Christian "CBETH" Bethancourt.

Yes Bethancourt. The "defensive minded" catcher who hit a flat .200 in the regular season and only drove in 26 runs. The subject of trade rumors and free agent replacements bought himself some time in Atlanta with a strong performance in the Fall Classic. Going into the offseason, the Braves have some tough choices to make after winning back to back championships.

Atlanta had 4 big free agents.

Eric Young Jr had a career resurgence in the A, and was looking for a multiyear deal. With the Braves having Jose Peraza waiting in the wings, they decided to let him test the FA waters. Young Jr landed a deal with the runner up Tigers at 4yrs 18M

Cameron Maybin also had success in Atlanta after struggling early in his career. This was Maybins average stats in his 2 years here .272/9HR/54RBI/17SB.
The Braves having permanently moved Mallex Smith to left field, Maybin was re-signed to form a great speedy, defense outfield in pair with Mallex. His contract was 2yrs 13.5M

Tony Watson was traded for before the season to give the Bravos a legit set up man. Watson WAS legit, posting a 1.3 ERA and 6 for 6 in saves. He was the best reliever and wanted to test the waters and get a big deal. The Braves outbid everybody and signed Tony to a 3YR 24.1M deal.

Ivan Nova a former top Yankee prospect, was a Rule 5 selection. We converted him to a reliever and he locked down the 7th inning, goign 7-1 with a 2.1 era. The Braves ended up settling before arbitration, agreeing to a 2yr 7M deal.

I also did 2 trades, one with the Indians, and another to the Tigers. First I traded 2 C prospects for Gordon Beckham. I then flipped Beckham along with Brad Ziegler and a B prospect to Detroit for Dino Ramirez (generated prospect that I REALLY wanted to draft but he didnt fall to me in Round 2) and Josh Phegley to be my back up catcher.

Gonna take some time off of this franchise as I turn my attention to Arkham Knight. Pretty positive I wont make it through another season but I am for sure carrying this over to MLB 16.

I've finished the regular season (2015) of my Tigers franchise. We finished 88-74, winning the AL Central by 5 games over the 83-79 Royals. I face the 88-74 Blue Jays, the AL East Champs, in the ALDS.

Cespedes won a Gold Glove at LF, Cabrera won Silver Slugger at 1B, and Miggy was the runner-up for MVP (Nelson Cruz won with 50+ homers. Miggy hit 40 something homers with 100+ RBIs.)

David Price led the league with shutouts and complete games.

Chicago White Sox ace Chris Sale won the Cy Young; Price was a finalist but faded in September. Rusney Castillo won ROY in the AL; Yasmany Tomas won ROY in the NL. Rizzo won MVP in the NL. Cano won the Batting Title while Jose Bautista won the Hank Aaron.

The As beat the Red Sox in the Wild Card for the AL while the Diamondbacks beat the Padres in the NL Wildcard.

And the Tigers are going to the ALCS! David Price tossed seven shutout innings in game one and Ian Kinsler blasted a two run homer to give the Tigers a 2-0 lead. The Tigers scored two more runs to win 4-0. The Blue Jays committed three errors in the game.

I simmed game two, and Justin Verlander got the 3-2 win over Marcus Stroman.Rajai Davis doubled and hit a home run while Cespedes drove in Alex Avila for the third run. For Toronto, Justin Smoak doubled and Edwin Encarnacion hit a two run homer. Joakim Soria got the save for the 3-2 win.

I also simmed game three, the first of the series in Detroit. Anibal Sanchez got battered in a 5-2 loss with Marco Estrada picking up the win. Encarnacion and Danny Valencia doubled while Encarnacion also homered. Encarnacion had 4 RBIs. For Detroit, JD Martinez homered while Cabrera and JD Martinez drove in the team's two runs. Castellanos committed an error. Estrada pitched eight 7 hit, 2 run innings. Sanchez only lasted five innings, giving up 8 hits and 4 runs.Joba Chamberlain pitched three shutout innings while Blain Hardy pitched one and gave up another run.

I played game four, an elimination game, in Detroit. The Tigers won 3-1 thanks to a great outing from Alfredo Simon. Simon pitched seven innings, only allowing one run on six hits. Aaron Harang pitched a shutout eighth while Al Alburquerque pitched a 1-2-3 ninth with 2 Ks. For Toronto, Drew Hutchinson got the start, lasting 5.1 innings before leaving with an elbow injury. Steve Delabar entered the game and finished the inning, allowing a hit but no runs. Offensively, Iglesias, Cabrera and Cespedes drove in runs while Davis and Gose stole a base each. For Toronto, Justin Smoke hit a double and was driven in by Reyes for the team's only run.

This is the furthest I've gotten in a franchise in which I've played a lot of games (play one, sim 5 with occasional in game simming.) I'm having such a blast. This is my first playoff series win.

By winning the division and the ALDS, I've completed both of my contract goals in my first year.

Playoff update:
Mariners beat As 3-1, advance to ALCS to face the Tigers.
The Cubs swept the Nationals 3-0, and advance to the NLCS to face the MLB best 101 win Dodgers who beat the Diamondbacks 3-1.

ALCS-Tigers vs Mariners, NLCS Cubs (end of the Curse? Back to the Future comes true?) vs Dodgers

For the Cubs, Javier Baez returns from a fractured wrist in 2 days while Chris Coghlan is still out 25 days with a fractured wrist. For the Dodgers, Brett Anderson is done for the season while Greinke will be out 20 more days with a torn finger ligament. The Dodgers' rotation is currently:

Ok so the offseason is over I'll do a quick recap.

First things first the Twins finished the year 4th in the ALC with a 75-87 record, and the Blue Jays are your WS Champions as they beat the Nats in 6 games.

So ive finally got back to playing after restarting and editing ratings to try and help with the pitchers becoming OP. Liked my last franchise so i went with Milwaukee again. Decided to go with a play 1 sim 3 this time. Ill end up playing around 50 games a season.

One month into the season and things are going fairly well. We are 12-10, 1 game behind St Louis (its always them). And currently lead the wild card. Astros have the best record at 15-7 with the Braves, Mariners and Yankees tied for worst at 8-14.

Offense has been pretty damn good so far. 4th in AVG at .283, tied for 2nd with 48 doubles, and 3rd in slugging at .444. Not scoring a whole lot of runs though. 16 with 86. 6 starters with an AVG of .300. Lucroy leading the way at .341. Scooter Gennett is at .253 and Aramis Ramirez has been terrible hitting just .178 so far. Adam Lind leads the team with 5 HR and 16 RBI. Khris Davis has the highest OBP at .389.

Pitching for the most part is better than it looks. 22nd with a 4.14 ERA. Jimmy Nelson and Matt Garza are the best starters so far. Nelson is 2-1 with a 1.03 ERA anda 1.05 WHIP. Garza is 2-1 with a 2.48 ERA and a 1.22 WHIP. Mike Fiers is decent with a 3.65 ERA. And Lohse/Perlata are extremely terrible with a 7.88 and 6.52 ERA. Out of the pen Corey Knebel hasnt given up a run in 7 2/3 IP. Broxton has a 2.13 ERA in 12 2/3 IP. K-Rod has 6 saves a 4.70 ERA and 2 blown saves

Going to send Hector Gomez down to AAA and call up Tyler Thornburg. Our relievers seem to be tired a lot. So another arm is more important than a 4th guy off the bench. Thornburg has a 0.54 ERA in 16.2 IP for AAA.

In AAA, Brent Stuter is 0-2 despite a 2.13 ERA. Tyler Jungman has a 2.78 ERA and Tyler Cravy hasnt been able to get ti going with a 4.50 ERA. Taylor Green and Chris Nelson are both hitting .319 and Shane Peterson is hitting .313 with a 4.06 OBP.

In AA, Juan Centeno is hitting .311 with a HR and 6 RBI, Orlando Arcia our top prospect is hitting .304 with a HR and 6 RBI. Wei Chung Wang is 1-0 with a 1.05 ERA in 25.2 IP. Jed Bradley hasnt given up a run out of the pen in 12 IP. And Devin Williams has been god awful in 4 starts with an 8.50 ERA.

We only play 9 games vs a team over .500 in May. So we really need to take advantage and win some series.

I'm in mid August in my first year of my Yankees franchise with a dominating 76-37 record. I have an 8 game lead over the O's thanks to a 10-game winning streak. Garrett Jones and A-Rod have stepped up nicely in the wake of Chase Headley's absence due to a hip injury.

With the playoffs around the corner, I'm hoping that I can continue to learn and play well with an increased difficulty and presentation setting.

I just played my most exciting game ever in my expereince playing MLB.

2015 ALCS Game One, Tigers (me) at Mariners, David Price vs Felix Hernandez

JD Martinez and Jose Iglesias doubled, Rajai David tripled. Ian Kinsler, Victor Martinez and Alex Avila homered. Gose had an RBI. Kinsler had 2 RBI. Martinez had 3.

David Price pitched six innings, giving up 11 hits. I left him in too long, as his first pitch of the seventh inning to Austin Jackson was homered to tie the game at 4. Aaron Harang pitched one shutout inning, Blaine Hardy pitched two shutout innings. Alex Wilson allowed two hits in one shut out inning.

Joba Chamberlain got the win, pitching one shutout inning, allowing two hits.

Here's how the game ended:

In the top half of the 12th inning, Anthony Gose (pinch ran/substituted for Caspedes) hit a bloop single to drive in Rajai Davis as the go ahead run. He stole second. Then he stole third. The Mariners walked Cabrera. Then, Victor Martinez blasted a three run homer, 354 feet, off Joe Beimel to give us an 8-4 lead. Closer Joakim Soria, he who closed 50 games in the regular season, was brought in to do his job. Instead, he lasted tow batters, giving up a 2 run homer to Kyle Seager to halve the lead. Al Alberqueue was brought in, and he allowed a Wellington Castillo double. Castillo scored on a Logan Morrison single, making the score 8-7 Tigers. Kyle Lobstein was brought in, the last available reliever, and he forced Mike Zunino to ground into a double play with two on (the go ahead run) and two out. Tigers take game one in Seattle, 8-7 in 12 innings.


For the high powered Mariners, AL MVP Nelson Cruz doubled and also homered and had 3 RBIs. Welington Castillo doubled, Kyle Seager homered as did Austin Jackson. Kyle Seager also had 2 RBIs. Mike Zunino ground into two double plays, including the game clincher.

The Mariner had two errors. "The King" Felix Hernandez looked mortal, lasting six innings, giving up just 7 hits but 4 runs.

Carson Smith pitched two shutout innings and Mark Lowe pitched three shutout innings.

Danny Farquhar got tagged with the loss, lasting 0.2 innings, giving up 2 hits, 3 runs (Martinez's homer) while Joe Beimel allowed what would be the clincher, one run on one hit.

We scored four runs in the 12th after being shutout since the sixth inning. The Mariners scored three in the 12th. I used every RP in my pen.

Best game ever, wow.

So im 43 games into my indians franchise currently 22-21. 2 games back in the division. My pitching has been pretty good, Kluber is dominating. But my hitting has been pretty horrible, I believe our team average is around 24-28th in the league. Brantley is playing well hitting .308, Aviles .324(just began to start him about 10 games ago), Bourn .299 and Chisenhall .270. After that it gets pretttttty bad. Jose Ramirez .221, Santana .209, Moss .198, Swisher .165, and Gomes .105 (i hit about .450 with him in spring training).

I absolutely cannot hit with Brandon Moss and really want to make a trade to bring in a big power bat that can player a corner outfield position or possible 1B. Im really trying to make a push for the playoffs this year and am definitely willing to trade a few prospects. Anyone have any suggestions of guys that would be realistic or I could possibly make a move for? I read earlier in a thread something about Josh Hamilton but that didn't seem very realistic to me even though I love him as a player.

After the first month of my Cleveland Indians franchise I am sitting at 12-10.

Lost Fransico Lindor half way through the month with a broken shin, and had to place him on the 60 day DL and called up Jose Ramirez to replace him.

I finished the offseason and I've started 2016.

Offseason Recap:

My contract with my pitching coach expired. I was frustrated at how my pitching staff, even David Price, imploded in the World Series. My bullpen was anemic as I said. So, I hired a new pitching coach. I also hired a new first base coach and third base coach.

After being hurt all season, Joe Nathan retired.

I don't know what David Price will do in real life. However, in my franchise, I wanted him to be my ace for the next few years. I signed him to a four year, $98 million dollar deal.

I also locked up Shane Greene to a four year contract.

I let Alfredo Simon and Aaron Harang walk.

My bullpen was my main focus in free agency. I also wanted to upgrade at catcher* and depth in the infield and outfield.

I signed RP Tim Stauffer, RP Jose Vera, and RP Neal Cotts. I want to rebuild my farm system so I limited myself to signing non-qualified offer free agents.

The non-qualified free agent restriction limited me to sign 2B Maicer Izturis, OF Kirk Nieuwenheis, C Gerald Laird and CF Colby Rasmus. Rasmus will split the starting CF job with the aging Rajai Davis. Laird takes over as starting catcher after Alex Avila defected to Boston.

Nick Castellanos also left through free agency and signed with the Orioles.

Around the League:

Former Tigers starter Alfredo Simon signed with the Mets to replace the retired Bartolo Colon.

Madison Bumgardner and Tim Hudson retired due to injury, leaving a gaping hole in the Giants' rotation. To compensate, the team signed Johnny Cueto.

Torii Hunter retired, and the Twins subsequently signed Jose Bautista.

Former Tigers catcher James McCann, who missed the second half/playoffs with an injury, signed with the Astros. Former Tigers reliever Ian Krol signed with the Padres.

The Yankees signed former Tiger RPs Angel Nesbitt and Bruce Rodon.

Jason Heyward left the Cardinals to sign with the Padres. Justin Upton subsequently signed with the Red Sox.

The Blue Jays signed Juan Uribe and Justin Masterson.

There were also many other moves.

Question for you guys. My brother thinks that he should be able to change Byron Buxtons position to a SS or 2b and that it doesn't kill the realism of the game. I disagree with him and think it completely kills it and makes positions almost meaningless. Buxtons fielding stats for reference at this point are 90 fielding, 87 arm strength, 80 arm accuracy, 84 reaction, 99 speed. He is a 94 as a CF, 99 as 2b or SS.
