    Re: Online Franchise

I did want to say, that if baseball games were very lucrative, there would definitely be more studios in the game (no pun intended).

Also, so how many sells have they lost in this thread alone? XX/600,000 =...

      Re: Online Franchise

It's frankly amazing how little they care about the online community. Especially the people who love online Franchise. I'm not saying we need a radio show or every little thing the regular franchise has, but a normal franchise with no bells and whistles and broadcast mode ( like in mlb the show 14) would suffice, but no. Which is why the have lost not only me but 6 of my buddies. That's $360... that adds up!

I haven't seen anyone (aside from the guy above me and his 6 friends) who has said they wouldn't be purchasing the game because of this, so they're not really losing out on much.

Back on PS3 before they had any year to year stuff at all, I actually took the time to progress/regress all the players myself. What we did was basically take our rosters into a franchise and sim a season and noted any attribute changes. Needless to say this was a massive amount of work but it did improve the experience. I guess what I'm saying is most of the Online Franchise crowd is used to what has happened this year..and while we're not happy I don't see the point of complaining. I don't honestly know if there is anything we can do, maybe the mode will never change. They certainly haven't given us an indication it's a priority...in fact they've done the opposite with their comments this year.
The Online Franchise crowd shouldn't be used to this though, what you do is quite a lot of work, and a very solid idea to keep things fresh when it comes to such a stale mode, but by no means should those who love Online Franchise sit back and take this with a grain of salt.

It's not like most of us are even asking for much, as barebones as the mode is, we'd simply like things to be fixed as far as bugs go, and MAYBE some minor improvements (such as position player stamina) which doesn't seem to be too much to request IMO.

Personally, I would have been happy had they said they fixed the playoff bug, made injuries more frequent, making you have to manage more of a team and allowed the CPU to do so as well in CPU vs CPU games, as well as positional player stamina.

I just want a bit more from the mode outside of throwing in my best 9 guys with maybe a speedy player and a dude who can pinch hit on my bench, everyone for the CPUs sake (I tried to mix it up) would play 162 games and it's not a true representation of a baseball season by any means.

          Zero. Not one.

I want a similar setup to Madden where online and offline are one in the same.

I'm a bit shocked that it's been ignored for two years, yet also not removed. Seems odd.

SCEA is pretty active on the forums here, and I think their silence on this and in this thread is pretty telling.

Their silence? They explained on stream EXACTLY why it wasn't a priority. It's not their fault that you guys refuse to accept that explanation.

And left it at that...no explanation as to what those numbers truly meant (as others have noted in this thread). During these streams they've also indicated other changes/additions in other modes they want to get in for next year...

So yes, they are being silent when it comes to online franchise.

And yes, technically it is their fault--they've provided us a buggy online franchise experience while being shocked at why the numbers are so low in that mode, and it's their job to fix it...or to tell us to let it go forever.

Very telling, as in they don't care Mike

Yeah, and I get it too that it's not just one person making decisions or whatever. It's just a bummer because we all wish there was a "push this button to take your normal franchise online!"

Easier said than done, but the issue is more on a decision level than a technical one, or so it would seem.

Oh well! Still having fun in the Futures League!

That's the main thing being said in this thread, and I'm not going to sit here, repeat myself and beat a dead horse. This is all I'd want SDS to see, the reasoning BEHIND why the numbers are so low.

We really don't expect much, by no means was I expecting them to have every last feature from offline franchise to online franchise, but currently they don't even have the bare minimum to be even functional.

Why would any one accept their explanation? I like the game, but if I disagree with something I have a right to voice my opinion just like anyone else.

And nobody's taking that right away from you. But you don't have a right to hear exactly what you want to from the devs (who, as a reminder, are not just posters but VIP's on this board).

BTW I only responded because of the exaggerated "silence" comment. I'm done here now that it's obvious that was only meant to provoke. Carry on.

Good grief. I didn't see provocation, I see disgruntled, and yes silence.

Well it most certainly is silence. Been silent since MLB14. You need work around and patience for the mode to even be fun. Many won't put up with that at all.

I like to think of it this way, if offline franchise had all these bugs and issues it also wouldn't get 500k users. And there's probably be a 100 page thread on it.

I understand we are the "45k minority. But we are 45k because of a BROKEN mode. If it wasn't broke fir 2 years (not to mention online was unplayable the first) then maybe we would be at a Strong 100k. But to say it's a numbers gm, more people play offline is frankly a outrageous reason to not make changes to the mode.

You want change? Want online to get some attention? Figure out a way that online franchise can be a revenue stream... Until then why waste time with the only part of the game not associated with stubs. This fight is a losing one... It's like fighting big banks... Why we need Bernie Sanders! He would fight for online franchise
