Aside from Betts, the oufielders have really struggled to produce, I'll keep JBJ around purely for the defense at this point, but Young and Castillo have been hopeless.

This is probably too unrealistic, I know, but at 13 games behind do you think the Blue Jays would consider trading Bautista to the Red Sox. If his contract demands are as high as reported then they're probably not keeping him around once he fits FA. He's hitting .272 an has got 17Hrs on the year. What sort of price would i be looking at for a couple of months of Bautista, an A and a B prospect, like Devers + Kopech?

If not Bautista, then what other good impact outfielders would people suggest? I looked at Braun but with his contract I don't want to add that to the big deals of Sandoval, Porcello, Castillo.
Just wondering if there are any thoughts on this proposal?

Bautista to the Sox for Devers + Kopech?

Why would the BlueJays help the hated RedSoxs make a deep playoff push ?!? I mean any trade can happen ( Ruth to Yankees ) but in our modern times trades normally are not that lopsided. Saying that if the Jays are out of it and anyone in the AL east comes calling the price will be double anyone else would be asked to pay IMO but I can see how he will be a free agent and was asking for crazy numbers so getting some prospects may be a good idea. Hopefully someone else got some input but Batista must be putting up numbers if you want him so look to dig deep in your pockets

Update: I think that package can get you Carlos Gonzalez from the Rockies if there out of it ?!?

I wouldn't put Jose Bautista and Babe Ruth in the same sentence but that's just me

I didn't mean to compare the two at all tried to say anything can happen and failed miserably

ie. Kelly Johnson + Juan Uribe to Mets is the better name comparison for division teams

What would I be able to get for Rosenthal? I'm looking to get some kind of a return for him before the deadline as I'm not looking to pay him the big bucks in the off-season. Not that I don't rate him highly, but I just don't want to sink a good chunk of money that could go into free agency on a reliever, closer or not. The Cardinals have guys that can step into the closer role and who'll play a couple of seasons for less salary than what Rosenthal wants (Siegrist, maybe Tui in a few years), so wouldn't really impact a playoff hunt that much either.

I might also be looking for a deal that involves either Adams or Moss, but for now I'm more interested in trading Rosie.

Yeah, I thought it'd be a bit too unrealistic but was worth asking the guys at OS. I think I might take a chance and promote Benintendi from AAA. He's been killing minor league pitching (just like real life) so maybe he'll be like a Conforto type promotion.

This way I hang on to Devers as well who is my best power hitting prospect.

I'll just go after Bautista or Edwin in FA.

No I agree completely. I was playing around and seeing what type of trade offers I would get by simming ahead and every single time I did that, this trade would go down. Figured I would ask others to see their opinion on if I was right to reject it.

I asked this question before but since it's over 5 pages back and I geuss it was missed I'll post it again. I'm the Yankees. What would it take to get Kike Hernandez Or Trayce Thompson from the Dodgers to the Yankees? It's probaly worth noting that I'm not looking to acquire one of them right now as I'm only in early May but I am kind of thinking ahead. Also, another target I thought of is Juan Lagares. What would I have to give up to get him from the Mets? I only want to get 1 of the three.

I'm not a trade expert but I still think the current dynamics of both team's situation is important to evaluating the trade options.

The Dodgers are extremely thin in the farm on the positional side, and they don't need more pitching, either at the major league level or in the minor leagues.

So for them, I don't see parting with Kike or Trayce as a realistic move. If you were to try to pry one of those players away, I'd have to imagine that it would cost you young positional talent. There's no way they part with those guys for a late-20s or early-30s MLB positional player. They have enough of those already.

I think looking at the Mets might make more sense.

Opinions on what would be a fair trade to get Julio Teheran from the Braves or Michael Pineda from the Yankees? I'm using the Astros and the pitching hasn't been good and a lot of injuries for me. Thanks.

Carlos Gomez and Josh Fields to the D backs for Daniel Hudson and 2 C prospects? D backs have pollock out for the year and aren't getting production from CF and I'm happy with Marisnick in Center for me. I'm just throwing in Fields because I don't like him, thoughts?
