Looking through the recent posts I don't see my set so I thought I would add to the chatter...

I have an LG OLED65B6P, and have gotten great results on my PS4 Pro. I'm using the latest LG firmware which introduced the new "Game" mode. I've finally settled on "Enhanced Visuals" with HDR Mode On which seems to be the sweet spot for me. I may try sliding the HDR slider up a bit, but right now everything looks great.

Anyone else using this TV?

I have this set too.. big issues with hdr on.. when u start game it's dark so I move the hdr slider up one abd it's great.. seems as though it doesn't detect it properly when u start? Try this and tell me what u see.. also what settings u at? I'm in hdr game mode with 49 brightness abd 62 color.. dynamic contrast at medium sharpness 0

KS8000 and yes, this is the only thing that's taking away from it IMO

Yea I think it has something to do with compatibility issues. Even when you try to record a short clip from your ps4 for some reason it doesn't look correct.

I'd recommend turning Dynamic Contrast off. Try it, and let me know what you think.

Actually I typically remove most "artificial" processing. Theoretically should reduce lag time too. But likely not noticeable to the human eye.

I have it but cannot figure out the HDR game mode. I think I may need to download the firmware onto a usb and upload it.

Yes u do.. use a USB stick instructions on lg support site for the set

Anyone who has a Sony X700D just turn on live football mode.
No other settings and dont turn on hdr .
Thats the only adjustment i had to make and its awesome!!

I have the KS8500 and I was defending dynamic contrast but I realized that after starting a game and tweaking the HDR setting just to get it to kick in, the game looks infinitely better with Dynamic Contrast off. It's brighter but you lose too much detail. There is a clear bug with HDR not working at the start of the game

That's how it should look and that's how mine looks too. If you move the HDR slider during a game it makes the game unrealistically bright. By going in the settings and messing with the slider you aren't activating anything, the game just gets brighter and it doesn't look good at all. My opinion of course so if anyone thinks it looks good after toggling the slider in game then more power to you. It's all preference.

Truthfully my bigger motivation is that I figure the next Madden will also be optimized somehow for the Pro so might as well jump in now and enjoy The Show as smooth and beautiful as can be [emoji2]

My 2tb drive shows up tomorrow so I will have a hdd swap to do first, transfer my stuff and then jump back in, but with added 4k-ness.

Every game moving forward is supposed to have Pro enhancements. So that's definitely a plus as far as feeling good about your purchase

I'm confused with how HDR is working in this game. I don't know when it is functioning properly. Is it when the picture is very bright? I would think so because when HDR is activated on other sources, the TV brightens. But I hear some saying for this game that if it's too bright, it means it's not working. Plus there is mention of a bug that HDR has to be reset in game. I appreciate San Diego Studios for implementing this technology, but I think they should do without the intensity slider next year. It seems to complicate things.

Calling all Samsung KS8000 owners. I tried everything to get HDR to work for the last few days and finally figured out what has worked for me. When you enter a game, pause it, then turn your HDR intensity down a bunch then go back into the game then pause it and crank the HDR setting then re-enter the game. That is how I get it to look good without dynamic contrast on. Let me know if this works for you.
