Re: Official MLB 17 : Road to the Show Thread

Noticed something last night that I thought I'd check with everyone else to see if they have seen this.

I'm in September 2019 season....with the Mariners. I started checking my roster to see who was in contract years because I was curious to see how things would change in the following season and where opportunities were. Every single player on my MLB roster with the exception for 4 players is in final year of contract. Every single pitcher on my roster is in final contract year. Even more unusual.... 90 to 95% of them are all in 1 year deals. Contract 1/1 of 1 year deal. The only players not in final year of deal are Bryce Harper (signed in free agency after 2018 season), Kyle Seager, Jean Segura, and I. That's absurd... you can't find an MLB roster that is even remotely close to that. Has anyone else seen this?

I'll show you guys how my 6 years developed in order to score this deal. (Hitting difficulty all star, pure analog controls, realistic slider set. Played every game. Every AB.

Thought i'd share my first 6 seasons as a big leaguer as it was quite an interesting development as a player, and as a 95 overall, I hope I can kill it over the next 12 years to make it to the Hall of Fame as a Mariner
Great post, what slider set are you using?

Hit the longest HR I've ever hit with my RTTS player last night at Oakland Stadium. Absolute bomb.

On the topic of training... while in the minors I saw maybe 2 training opportunities a year. However, I did get at the minimum 8 (my max in one season was 15 games) games of 2x bonus training points. (One of these being a visit from "brass" involving a training opp and a 5 game 2x bonus) So while there are fewer training opportunities in this year's RttS, there are still plenty of extra training points to be had.

Started making a SS last night and decided I didn't like him but went through the draft anyway. Got drafted in the 2nd round by the Marlins and when they called me I decided to go down the diva path. I told them I was hoping to get drafted by my favorite team. They obviously were offended, long story short I ended up going to college for a year.

Re: Official MLB 17 : Road to the Show Thread

So I finally started my road to the show career on MLB 17.

Using Jethro's 1987 90 man roster I created myself as an 18-year-old third base Prospect.

I had a great two days in the prospects game and lo and behold the New York Yankees select me in the first round with the 18th pick I could not be happier!

Right now I'm in Trenton New Jersey in AA ball with the thunder playing with Deion Sanders Gary Ward, and Hensley Mullens.

This is really awesome. If you're a 1980s classic baseball fan I highly recommend starting up a road to the show with Jethrotulls 1987 90 man roster now in the vault

4 created players so far in RTTS, and everyone regardless of position within 10 games in AA they use me at DH for an extended period of time. It's really starting to bug me.. They don't even try me at my secondary position.

^ Do you put a lot of points into fielding ?

Well my 3rd baseman got the call u the A's finally. Overall is an 81, made him a replica batting stats wise close to Neil Walker but better defensively. Making my debut against the Royals batting 2nd in August.

1B no, LF arm maxed (I mean at the start so 75), solid fielding, SS and 2B, yes.

Anyone notice that the Pitch Count for your teammates ( new batter) is wrong when your player gets on base?

Example if I get one 1B, and the next batter is up at bat with while the Count is 2-1 but the pitch count on the score overlay is 0 for the pitcher if the opposing team substitute a new pitcher or the pitch count does not change if it's the same pitcher.

This bug was in The Show 16 as well in RTTS.

Decided to work on my starting pitcher and take a break from my 3B. It's his 2nd season in the majors (first as a starter) but I really struggled.

As a pitcher, what attributes do you guys recommend working on first? Also, what is the best time to add a pitch to your repertoire?
