If you tell the GM to suck it you could go back for another Showcase then get another option to go back from 1 to 4 years.. So you can be older..

The ball physics is fantastic.. You really notice when you're batting.

Official MLB 17 : Road to the Show Thread

I'm a right handed hitting left fielder. I put 2 of the 5 flex points in contact, one in fielding & two in speed. I put all of the initial 500 trading points in vision & discipline. The training points I earned during the showcase went to speed & fielding. I was drafted in the first round by the Mariners. Nice change from the last couple of years where I felt like I was always drafted by the Astros or Diamondbacks. At one point early in the season I was asked to try out first base. I did & played there for less than a week & moved back to the outfield. Not too long after that I was traded to the Detroit Tigers. I just finished the game on August 12, 2017. I went 5 for 5 & hit for the cycle. I received a call from the Tigers GM. I thought I was being called up but it was just him saying congratulations on hitting for the cycle. I'm currently 1st in the league in batting average .373. 2nd place in .313. 1st in hits with 152 & the 2nd guy is at 136. 2nd place with 31 double. Tied for 1st with 7 triples. Tied for 4th with 10 home runs. 1st place with 72 RBI. I'm hoping to finish the season in Double A, play 2018 in Triple A & then make it to the majors by mid season of 2019.

It's driving me insane.

ASU..... on the liners you have to field them behind the circle/field marker ...and it's a significant distance. Especially when you are trying to field a liner that is hit down the line or to your left where you are having to take a left/right angle or just running outright to your left/right. I was having similar issues because I was taking an angle/direction where I was running to the marker. Start taking an angle that brings you in well behind the marker.

So when I bought MLB 16 last year I didn't play much RTTS for some reason. I think I was more interested in DD. Anyway when I bought 17 I decided to carry over my character from last year. It was early in my AA season in the Brewers farm system. I played very well and actually got a September call up. I struggled but was invited back for spring training. Played great and made the team and ended up winning ROY with the Brewers. In the off season they traded me to the Rangers which was a bit of a head scratcher. My 2018 season is going well. In the running for MVP and the Rangers are leading the division by a half a game.

Byron Reed makes his Major League debut today against the Arizona Diamondbacks. In an interview before the game Reed said "It's been a long road getting here. But now that I made it, it's time to show everyone I belong. This is a big day and I can't wait to step on that field".

The first game for the 22 year old from Maryland was a solid one. Reed finished 2-4 with a single in the fourth and then the biggest hit of the game was his final at bat of the game where he hit. 394 foot three run homer to give his Twins the lead and they would hold on to win 4-2 at home. In the post game interview Reed was quoted saying, "Not going to lie, nerves were high but this is what we play the game for. I can't believe I was able to help the team in that big a fashion. Really makes me happy".

Finished the 2017 with the Double A Erie SeaWolves with the following stats: AVG .380, 180 hits, 64 runs, 36 doubles, 18 home runs, 91 RBI, 15 BB, 17 SO, .603 SLG%, .397 OBP & 1.000 OPS. I was promoted to the Toledo MudHens after the last game of the season. So never played a game with them. Signed a one year deal for $82K to remain in the Tigers organization as their Triple A starter. I'm at 77 overall with Matt Kemp ahead of me at 83. Going to put the majority of my training points earned during spring training into my durability, fielding & base running categories. I turned off all baserunning opportunities for the 2017. I'll turn them on for 2018.

I always play 1 game a series. (except playoffs) I play more if I'm making a serious run at a record around the all star break, but I could never finish a career playing every game.

Me personally, I have to play every game. I play every at bat, every play when on base and every fielding opportunity. I wouldn't feel like I earned my career otherwise.

Lol. Same thing happened to me pretty much. I called a cup a tea with the mariners in September and hit almost .400. Offered me a 1 year deal but I negotiated a 2 year deal. Then promptly traded me to the Rangers at the winter meetings lol

It was weird because I was a 1B(moved from 3B) and the M's don't really have one in the majors. I was gonna be starting for them the next season.

Anyway to see the transactions in RTTS? I'd really like to see who they received lol

I'm the exact same way....all the way down to base running. I'll set the RTTS options to lead runner during steal opportunities and then quickly switch to "action pitches" to see my teammates at bats while I'm on base. I just recently loaded the sounds of the show for my team and it takes the immersion factor to an all together different level as well (thanks Armor and Sword). I've started loading the sounds for all the teams. Main thing with RTTS is to not be in a hurry and just enjoy the ride.

I couldn't agree more. Armor is awesome and the SOTS just makes it so much better. I really love getting all into my RTTS.

No way to see the transactions....it's my single biggest complaint about the game. I just went past the trade deadline in 2020 season with the Braves and they made a crazy amount of moves but I couldn't see exactly how everything transpired. Traded away Felix Hernandez and some other guys and ended up with Kluber and Michael Brantley. Lineup is crazy good ....but relief pitching and closer are the weakness.

                                Lineup is ....

                                Michael Brantley
                                Travis Jankowski
                                My Player
                                Manny Machado
                                Dansby Swanson
                                Freddie Freeman
                                Josh Harrison/Ozzie Albeis
                                Hector Sanchez/Brantly

Ender Inciarte is also on the DL for the season with a bulging disk.

                                Pitching....

                                Corey Kluber
                                Folty
                                Aaron Blair
                                Kendall Graveman
                                A prospect (can't remember name)

Won 100 games 2 years in a row and got bounced in the NLDS and then the World Series by the Indians. Hoping this is the season we put it all together. I'm in early September with a 4 game lead in the division over the Nationals.
