Love what they've done this year! The game looks great. They even did some work on the Oakland A's stadium. They added the Rickey Henderson Field logo to the wall and to the field. However, for some reason they put a pretty awful screen behind the plate. It looks like something from the PS2 era. Other than that and no season mode, (what is up with that?) I am pleased..... so far.

Yea I know, this isn't the only place, there are definitely still some huge inconsistencies graphic wise

I've had the game for a few days, here are a few quick impressions:

The good:
-Hitting is improved/easier (No more broken controllers this year!)
-gameplay is smoother
-DD improvements are awesome
-Presentation took a step forward (Colors, stadium fly-ins, weather conditions, etc) Took a major step forward.

The Bad:
-Rocket bunts
-commentary is improved, but still lacking
-Low homerun camera is happening too often for me on no-doubters (I know there have been some mixed experiences with this, but for me 4 out of the 6 no doubters I've hit have had the low HR camera angle)

The Personal Frustrations:
-Rookies who got quite a bit of service time last year (i.e. Clint Frazier from the Yankees, Frances Martes from the Astros, to name a few) are only CAPs and don't even have commentary names. (This is the main reason I upgrade every year.)
-Season mode taken out with no warning? That's not usual for SCEA...

Going through the rosters checking out the models and the pictures, etc.

Pretty disappointed they haven't updated a lot of the pictures when you go through their stats. A lot of outdated and missing pictures for players, a lot of them rookies.

Hopefully there's an update patch for these. Same deal happened with NBA 2K18, wonder why they've become lazy to update these things. Even if it's small. It's always the little things.

No face scan for Clint Frazier? That's disappointing.

Charlie Blackmon for the Rocks has had the bushy beard and long hair for 3 years now, nothing has been done to update him. Was looking forward to seeing it this year. Same with outfield walls at Coors, still showing dirt on them which has never been the case.

Brought in osuna to close out a 1 run game. 2 out a man on second, Judge at the plate. 1st pitch a slurve he cuts and misses. Martin from the crouch points at osuna with his glove. 2nd pitch fastball catches the corner. Martin stands and points his glove at osuna pleased with the pitch. 3rd pitch a slurve outside and judge swings and misses for the out. Martin jumps up and osuna pumps his fists.

I had goosebumps.

Absolutely in love with this game, best I've ever played. While there are no major improvements, all the little things and how they polished what they had all add up to one fantastic game.

So after playing all weekend I have to say I am actually very impressed with how well the game plays. From the little things such as catchers communicating with the pitch to fielder animations. Everything has been smooth and on point. I am so glad I upgraded to a 4k and ps4 pro before the release. The graphics imo are absolutely amazing. The new revamped hitting is so realistic. I do not however care much for the new camera angle on the no doubt homeruns but I am sure it will grow on me. I love the new player personalities in the game as well as the new fan animations and how the crowd gets into the game. The new commentary is a great welcoming as well, while in some occasions it is off or feels robotic it does have more ups then downs. The new revamped catching animations make it a lot better as now a blocked ball or even a passed ball is no longer a granted stolen base. To me even without major updates to my favorite mode franchise, it is still a great and deep mode with the little things we get to enjoy inside of it. My hat is off to sds on making another well rounded game with such great detail.

In last years game i found if u wanna trade your star players and you looked for offers it come back with no trade offers for guys like donaldson and others does that still happ my game is still installing so i cant see if you can do that can anyone tell me or see if it still does that

I dunno about your team that you control but if you try to see what it takes to get like Bryce Harper then you'll get that message

Im seeing way too many errors on routine plays. Shortstop constantly misplaying balls or throwing balls off the base. Outfielders missing balls. Will prob adjust sliders at some point.

I am seeing just a bit more than I'd like as well. I'm ok with some here and there, but I'm just seeing it far too often, and with some of the better defensive players.

Not impressed with the fog at all. I've played 4 games in overcast weather in months/times where fog would seem present, and the overcast sky has barely look upgraded from 17.

I love the game so far, but I really wish that they added unbuttoned jerseys and looseness in general
