Can the glowing, big, white ball be turned off when batting? It looks like a softball...

I guess the part you quoted where I said "You can't disable it" had no real bearing after all, now did it...

Not always, so if that's your clue, some guys will be really hard to hit. It depends on their set position and their delivery, which I think has a ring of realism in that real hitters try to pick up the ball ASAP, and you can try to do the same thing from the delivery. That's why I always try to look release point and initial "signature" of the pitch (which is why I need need need fast pitch speed because I look for that definition...if everything looks like an eephus...) because I can do that with any arm, regardless of his set.

Also, not all the grips, even if they are easily visible, are "honest". Some guys have traditional change-up grips that are hard to distinguish from their fastball grips. Some cutter grips look a lot like slider/curve/slurve grips (and those three all use the same grip so if you face a slider/curve/slurve pitcher...).

I've had a hard time picking up knuckle-curve grips (they look like fastball grips for some guys).

And a lot also depends on your specific view. I set my view based more on offset and depth perception, which can make some guys harder to pick up. And then where they set on the mound relative to the camera might ruin THAT...sometimes it's just not my night lol.

I honestly can not hit from any of the "catcher view" angles. I lose too much depth perception/timing information. Once I started trying pitching views, I finally had a chance, so with them I will stay.

Yes, some guys would give me trouble reading depending on their stance. For those guys, I would try to "peek" at their gripe when they started their delivery. But for the pitchers who show early, its pretty easy for me to see if the pitch will be a fastball, off speed, or a breaking ball. My friends stop letting me hit from broadcast because I was always calling out their pitch.

Bahaha. I was too excited about the camera!

Oh well, it's not terrible, but I would love for it to go away pronto. I'll tweet the devs. That'll do it

This needs to be fixed but this is hilarious.I remember the glitch in 15 or 16 were I hit a dribler with runners on and the ball boy ran out on the field picked up the ball and ran off while the ball was in fair play.

Why I love this game. This is default Legend. 9 walks!

I would've had 10 but I sneezed and swung at a ball four in the dirt with Stephen Piscotty.

Every game I play the better the game gets.

I’ve had some time to read people’s thoughts today on the game as I lay in bed in between mad rushes to the bathroom to expel everything inside me one way or another....

Man, people like to complain! I thought it was bad here, but I went over to The Show Nation as I had read everything here. Holy! I’m never going there again!

I’d like to praise SDS for a wonderful game. Yes there are things that we all would like changed or improved, but this is the only game that holds my interest. Every year, for the whole year. It plays a beautiful game of baseball, and I don’t think it’s recognized enough.

Yea I found it amusing the game played perfectly normal after the at bat. They will clean up the few bugs still a great game and I'm having fun playing it.

Lindor is that one guy in an adult softball league or backyard BBQ that is way too competitive that got out, but has an excuse as to why it didn't count so he gets a do-over.
