In all seriousness though I did “over react” just obviously no where near that extent, but it created a massive fight with my wife. True story.

Wife: “why do you play this game if it makes you so mad?”

Me: “like....why can’t you just be more supportive?”

    Wife: “what do you mean?”

Me: “look.... I love the game but sometimes the game, just....,well, cheats and I want to be mad.”

    Wife: “that makes no sense”

Me: “you know when you tell me you’re sad when so and so dies in whatever show it is you’re watching? What do I say? I’m sorry hunnie. That’s it. Right there that’s what I want!!! What I’m really thinking is ohhhhh I’m so sorry that the writer of whatever show stopped writing make believe dialogue for the make believe person!! What a crime!!! But I don’t do I?”

Needless to say it escalated from there.

Anyways I’ll stop derailing back on topic.....
Lol I have the same arguments with my lady too when I get mad at the game. It completely changes my mood and she's like i dont even know why you play this game if it always makes you mad. Because I didn't choose the game, the game chose me lol.

I feel you man. I have conversations with my wife like this all the time. She absolutely hates that I play video games.

Maybe your wife is wondering why you would play, let alone get emotionally invested in a video games that "cheats." A more equivalent situation would your wife being mad that The Walking Dead killed off a character, and instead of being sad, gets angry and signs a petition to get Scott Gimple fired.

I'm just saying, my wife has empathy for me all the time when a game doesn't go my way. But if I start stomping around and yelling about the game cheating, she would tell me to knock off the hysterics and act like a grown *** man.

Sounds to me like I’m glad you’re not my wife.

Another come from behind win for me, this time it was the Nationals who were the victim. Down 2-0 in the bottom of the 7th, we put up 6 runs capped off by a Randal Grichuk grand slam. In the 9th, our bullpen fell apart as the Nationals got the game to 6-5, but Rosenthal was able to strike out Ryan Zimmerman on 3 pitches to close out the game. (actually Zimmerman got called rung up by the first base umpire on a check swing. First time I've seen that)

While these games are exciting, I wouldn't be opposed to blowing a team out every now and again.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Well.....I got blown out yesterday 10-0 and was waiting for the reverse comeback code to kick in......11-11 to start the season. Love the game.

I’m loving 18 but they really need to add some depth to the revenue model in franchise mode. I should be able to decide on a local media - tv and radio - deal to earn money. I should be able to add sponsorships to the scoreboard, behind home plate, the score bug, etc. I get they want to be able to put their own sponsors in the stadium so that limits it to those things and the deals with Under Armour and others for the three currently available spots that earn for things like wins, homeruns etc. have remained untouched for too long and are limited. There should also be promotional nights with bobble heads and other giveaways that boost attendance.

Greatest console baseball game ever made bar none.

With that being said the commentary is a little too repetitive this year and while I realize they made another change with adding Derosa, I am only 20 games into my year 2 carryover Yankees franchise and I am hearing too many repeated lines.

However the dynamic storylines are excellent.

When you get the starting lineups you get a nice dynamic storyline about either a hot or cold player in your lineup.

Judge had been so cold heading into my last game Pleasac was saying he may get platooned.

The Judge answered with a grand slam!!!!

                    All Rise!!!!!

                    This game rules!!!!!!

I really like the comments matt makes about the players even if they are repeated a few games in a row, they are short and give a bit of background about the players, especially if this is used for rookie and created players.

It's the long comments that follow matts by the colour guys that i find annoying and repetitive. i am only about 10 games into my franchise but every time matt mentions a player is going to enter free agency derosa or plesac make a comment about how the player would be disappointed with his season so far.
Maybe later in the season these comments will become more varied and situational and should have been programed not to be used till mid season or something.

I'm over 30 games into my franchise and I absolutely love the fielding this year. Making a great play feels so much more rewarding than in year's past because great plays seemed to be a little to routine previously.

Last night playing the Reds and Votto hits a sharp ground ball that Matt Holliday of all people dives and snares and flips to Carlos Martinez for the out at first. I jumped out of my chair pumping my fist, and it was only the 3rd inning....LOL

And boy oh boy do you get punished for misreading a bounce in the outfield or foolishly attempting a dive. I love that I have to actually think about what I’m doing or who is playing in the field.

Every game something happens that just kinda blows me away. I agree with Armor this is the best baseball video game ever and honestly it’s not even that close.

Yeah the other day Piscotty was chasing down a line drive off the bat of Josh Harrison on the Pirates (right handed) so the ball had a slice to it. Instead of me taking an angle to get to the ball, I thought that Piscotty could run it down, but the slice was too much and he missed it by a step or few and the ball bounced into the corner for a triple. Had that been a more speedy runner, that would've been an easy inside the park homerun.

And I concur, this is without a shadow of a doubt the best baseball video game I've ever played.

I think I’ve given up 4 inside the park homeruns. 1 bounces off the top of the wall and took a bad ricochet but the other 3 were completely my fault. The last 1 happened last night where I took a bad angle on a ball that would have been a double and whiffed with the ball rolling to the wall. It was dee Gordon on the paths and he was around third before I even picked it up lol. Hopefully I learn my lesson eventually and just accept giving up a double.

Any chance I can sign a ball boy or one of those fans who leans over the railing to snag foul balls? I've yet to see them miss and I've got a SS who can't seem to catch his own breath, let alone a grounder.
