Maybe they have the worst front office in baseball. What a joke.

Just using our numbers, he has -30M in surplus. That is pretty bad.

Also realism wise, the Rockies don't even realize he is bad enough to bench so I doubt they would give big prospects to get rid of him

          SP David Peterson
          1B Dominic Smith

          Mets receive:
          Jose Iglesias

Jordan Zimmerman must be wondering how he's getting so little love in this contest as well.

I don’t think we did the numbers on him, for obvious reasons. And I don’t think he has the worst contract in baseball by any means but I think it’s on that list (however far down).

For the sake of information, Pujols has -128M in surplus so he might actually be the legitimate King of this conversation.

There are a couple of teams that are faltering and I think, prone to make some moves. I'm really interested in getting Teoscar Hernandez from Toronto. I'd like to build a package around Willie Calhoun. Anyone want to assist with that?

Also, Colorado is dead last in their division (22GB) at the ASB. Could a team like the Braves or Yankees make a play for him? Odds are, I would resign him to whichever team dealt for him. I'm just not sure if Colorado would feel the need to part with him in that situation or if they'd rather lock him down and hope for the best the following seasons. Rodgers is ready to be called up and Story could be moved back over to 3rd.
Okay, these are what I've thrown together.

TOR REC: Willie Calhoun, Drew Robinson
                    TEX REC: Teoscar Hernandez

COL REC: Austin Riley, Kolby Allard, Kyle Wright
                    ATL REC: Nolan Arenado

                    Thoughts?

Is Arenado a rental in 2019? If so that's a pretty heafty package for 3 months

He is. Is Riley and Allard enough in that situation? I tend to over-price Stars a bit. Did you have any issues with the Toronto trade?

No issue with Toronto. If anything id rather have Calhoun but that's a personal preference. Id treat rental Arenado exactly like we would 2018 Machado or Donaldson. Super elite 3B. With the trade deadline tax I think you're looking at something in the ball park of Allard and Riley or Allard + Anderson + Wentz

I'll do Allard and Riley. I think Colorado needs that 3B replacement. Thanks for the help.

IRL, I'd rather have Calhoun with his potential. In game, he doesn't fit into what I'm doing with the team.

Finally finished my season and Smoak finished with .298/.368/.542 34 HR, 94 RBI, 4.2 WAR and a gold glove. He still has one year left so I am looking to trade him. I think his value was rated 13 or so, but I think his stats slightly elevate that.

Looking to deal to one of these teams for prospects:

                              Miami (Bour gone)
                              Texas (Gallo gone)
                              Seattle
                              Minnesota
                              LA Angels.

                              Any ideas? Thanks !

Value wise you're looking at expecting a 3.5 WAR year so 3.5 x 9 = 31.5 - 6 so about $25 million. So still no elite prospects but maybe a headliner near the very bottom of a top 100 list
