They would need prospects which for the Giants having a pretty weak farm it would take Ramos and Shaw to get Machado, but then you have 3 MLB third basemen or you would need to work on trading crawford which idk if you really want to do that either but here is a starting point
Ahh ok that makes a lot more sense, thank you.

It’s a great starting point, so Ramos and Shaw would be considered a fair trade?

I’ll be moving Crawford to third and looking to trade one of the other two.

Sandoval is only worth a lotto ticket and I will let Bard do Longoria because he was literally just traded to the Giants so I would assume you can get something similar to what they gave the Rays for him.

That’s cool, he’s already said you’d get slightly less for Longoria or McCutchen than what the Giants gave up for them. I know Sandoval isn’t worth much. What is a lotto ticket exactly when it comes to baseball.

I was more interested in the fact that Ramos and Shaw would be considered a fair trade.

A lotto ticket is a low level prospect that is more than likely between a 25-30 teams prospect.

I am considering starting a franchise with the Brewers (still deciding between Brewers, Twins, and Padres this year).

My question is if I use the Brewers I wouldn't want Ryan Braun (not a fan). Does he have any trade value and if so what team may be interested and what could I get back?

Also, I know he is a 1B in the updated rosters but I would likely change him back to LF before I trade him since its his natural position.

In my Jays chise starting off hot and thinking ahead about adding another lefty arm to my bullpen. Not looking to add an elite lefty like doolittle or hand as thats not the price I want to pay to get a lefty was wondering the values on a few guys from team that are already in rebuild mode or will be going that direction. what is the value on the following Freeman from Atl, Blevins from NYM, Avilan from CHW, and Norris from Det. and what would the package look like going the other way fro these arms.

If im not mistaken my calculation for Blevins using the 60 30 10 and the formula provided was 4.29 so he wouldnt take much if I am doing that correctly. However the other 3 guys have arbitration years and I got lost on how to calculate that

Braun has a surplus of 27 million which could get you someone that is a 50 FV guy that will be outside the top 100

okay first time i use this thread

i am with the mets and adrian gonzales hits nothing... it´s early in the season but (mid april) but i search for players at trade deadline. flores is to bad against right handers.

my plan until now is looking for avisail garcia and nate jones. both are on there last year.

i would move bruce to 1B and garcia to RF.

the white sox are on rebuild so i would give them lagares and dominic smith. is this fair or do i have to give them more ?
i don´t really give smith away but it´s the only really option because they will trade abreu next season.

but the sox are 11-4 at the moment so maybe i have to look to other options

                  so many Variables

Garcia is worth 35 million and jones is worth 25 million.

To pick up these two players you would gut your system even more than it already is by giving up smith, gimenez, peterson and Dunn. Im factoring Smith being worth 15 million since he has proven nothing and been a fail of a prospect to this point.

How realistic are prospect for prospect trades? As the Rays have middle infielder prospects coming out their eyeballs, but I'd rather ditch one or two and get a bit more depth elsewhere

You do not see it often but if you are trading from a position of depth to a team that has that same position of need and they happen to have a position of prospects that they have depth at then I dont see why not but it will be very difficult to find a team that A) needs the position that you need and B) have a position that they also have depth at.

Do you have any example that you are thinking?

I don't really know, I'm sort of looking at Christian Arroyo, Lucius Fox, Wander Franco, Nick Solak and Brandon Lowe and thinking that I don't need that many 50/55 rated middle infielders when I already have Willy Adames and Daniel Robertson. I just figure their must be other organizations that would value them more and maybe have a glut in a different position (maybe SP, C or a powerful corner infielder)

I'll add to this. Braun has a market. I would see how Texas is doing around the deadline. If they're competing, I could definitely see them make a move for Braun. You could probably build a deal around Profar or Pedro Gonzalez.

Do you guys think a high C or low B prospect is enough to get a team like the White Sox to take on the Morales contract?
