A Harper trade is totally unrealistic. The only scenario that would even be a possibility that they would move Harper is if the team somehow fell apart and fell out of contention in my opinion. The Nationals are a serious contender and the obvious favorite to win the NL East. Makes no sense for them to subtract an important core piece of their team like Harper.

I have to agree with this. The Nationals are still in the mindset that they’re going to compete for Harper’s services this upcoming offseason. Winning a World Series would go a long way in convincing Harper that Washington is Home. If you don’t want to do 30 Team Control, you could always control Chicago and Washington and then switch everyone to auto for Washington outside of Free Agency and contracts. Then switch it back to auto after you’ve outbid them for Harper.
If you’re still wanting to find a realistic return, I can try to find surplus values for you. Just know the notion of trading Harper isn’t very realistic.Comment

Re: MLB 18 The Show Trade Discussion
Hey guys,
I don't quite follow MLB as most of you, so please don't be offended by my questions.
I'm still in the process of picking my team (while waiting for OSFM Hybrid) and, since I'm not a very good player, am leaning towards the Cubs. I don't intend to use 30-team control, as I don't have enough knowledge about the teams and players for it to be relevant. I do however want to keep things as realistic as possible for MY team. So the question is (and sorry if it has been asked before, I searched the topic and couldn't find anything):
Do you guys see any scenario in which the Cubs could TRADE (not wait for Free Agency) for Bryce Harper and/or Noah Syndergaard ? If so, what package would you suggest and under which circumstances ? Can it be done without touching to Rizzo, Bryant or Contreras ?
Again, sorry if this suggestion sounds absurd. I just don't know enough about MLB in general to be any kind of judge.
As for Thor, he's highly valuable but if Mets are going no where, they could decide to revamp their *poor* farm system but it is gonna cost you a lot for a #1 SP.
You're looking at Jimenez, Candelario & De la Cruz

I guess I'll have to wait for Free Agency, if I go with the Cubs. Damn, not having a home team to cheer for kinda *****.Comment

Re: MLB 18 The Show Trade Discussion
Still in the 2017 season. If I were to trade away the same or similar package as the brewers did for Yelich what could I get in return if I went for a pitcher instead? I have no reason as of now to do the irl trade because domingo Santana is playing at a MVP level for me and shows no signs of regression because he's actually playing better as time goes on. Id like to make a trade mid season if possible because right now it's looking like I'll be contendingLast edited by Shock1011; 04-08-2018, 06:56 PM.| Brewers | Packers | Angels | Bucks | Badgers |Comment

MLB 18 The Show Trade Discussion
I know this may not be realistic but I want to get Guerrero Jr in my franchise (as his dad was always a favorite of mine growing up) and I don’t want to be the blue jays.
I’m looking at the possibility of being the Reds and trading Votto to Toronto for Guerrero. I think that would give them the firepower to contend with Boston and New York before Donaldson hits free agency.
Again I know it’s not realistic but is it fair? I can take back a high contract like Morales as well (in fact I have to for the game to allow it).
If not what can I add to make it more fair?

Even if you take the sentiment of votto being Canadian and from Ontario they didn’t have any desire to pursue him in free agency because of the length of contract he wanted so not sure why they would want him now.2016 NLL Champion Saskatchewan Rush

MLB 18 The Show Trade Discussion
From what I’ve read so far Votto has a value of $200 million and the top prospects are $81 million so I don’t think it’s really possible to formulate value of that trade. No way in a jillion years toronto does that trade especially considering 1st base isn’t anything they are deficient in.

Yeah I completely understand what you’re saying.
I’m just trying to find a way to play with Guerrero Jr without being the Blue Jays. It’s difficult because I usually like to keep my franchises realistic but I know there’s no realistic way they trade him.
I’d like to just do it and not worry about it but for some reason I can’t enjoy my franchise if in my mind I know it wasn’t fair or realistic.

Is there any player/s that the Blue Jays would consider moving Guerrero for?
