Can't remember if the asterisks have been the exact number of letters as the people who have been revealed in the past but the one MLB Network personality whose name matches up on this year is Peter Gammons.

The stream on the 28th "Moments" game mode may be the make or break stream for me. It looks like RTTS is sticking with archetypes so that will keep me playing RTTS in '17.


I have been saying for a while now that, as an offline player I want something to do with my DD team other than run Conquest over and over and play meaningless games against the CPU to accumulate stats to earn a newer player, who may not play much because I needed to sit them in order to do the next stat grind.

I know it wasn't asked directly to me, but as I said before. I think we're going to learn that "MARCH TO OCTOBER" is a form of season mode and that most of the features/improvements within that mode will also hold true for franchise mode.

Contract Extensions is a footnote because it wouldn't hold true for a single season that's played in MARCH TO OCTOBER mode.

I hope you're right, but it would be a very odd advertising strategy if you are.

I was confident they’d finally add a ton of stuff to MLB The Show franchise mode this year and said I was definitely buying 19. Honestly, I could happily carry on playing 18 if they’ve decided not to do anything significant with the mode yet again. If franchise mode isn’t worth its own stream, that’s a big red flag in my opinion.

Agree 100% on needing more structure to offline DD, as the 9 inning games in particular had no consequence to them whatsoever and got very grindy very quickly.

My guess would be Moments is replacing those single game missions and instead just jumping you to the moment where you need to be to do the mission (so for Griffey's 2B and a BB, maybe just give you 4 Griffey AB's?) I dunno, something like that, a bit like Critical Situations in franchise.

It looks like they've changed Conquest a bit as well, or added more maps, as the trailer had them dong conquest on a map in the shape of 19.

I am a little disappointed at first glance. Hopefully there are alot of nuggets.

I will be honest I am not a fan of in season extension. As mentioned previously it rarely happens in mlb, extensions usually happen during arbitration and renewable time and the system already is in place for that.

I fear cpu teams will use it too much. Very few players get to free agency as it is the game.

I agree we should reserve judgment.

....but....do you find it a little disconcerting that there isn't an entire stream devoted to franchise but that its seemingly relegated to a footnote?
