Apparently the game looks very real. I was watching the Dodgers, Rockies game last night and my son walks in and says, "hey dad, is this a real game or your game?"...that should make SDS feel good.

Ripping doubles down the line feels sooooo good this year. They really nailed the feel of pulling extra base hits.

I’m still seeing a ton of hit variety. Had one earlier that was a slow roller down the third base line. My third baseman was waiting to field the ball and it hit the base and just stopped resulting in a single. I’ve seen the ball hit the bag before on a line drive and keep going into the outfield, but never a slow roller like that.

I am making my way through MTO, I can’t say that I am blown away with the mode. Actually it makes me miss season mode even more with how rigid MTO is.

I’ve grown to somewhat tolerate the stuttering when the ball is pitched and thrown around the diamond as I play more.

Still annoying and in no way does the game deserve a pass for it, but I can manage. Other than that I find the gameplay to be rather solid all around.

That's messed up.

What year is this carried over from?

Mine originated on MLB 16

I know OS'er WarmWind has this issue and his is from '14 I believe.

This is a carry over from '18. Not a biggie as i can adjust it myself, and i do not see it on the opponent's team anymore, just something than can be improved upon.

Yeah baserunning logic is worse than little league.

This is not a logic issue, it's just sub par mechanics. I tend to use the LS to select a runners and assign their destination individually. Obviously, the triggers to move all at one works for balls hit into the gap, but if I don't want the batter taking a base, it is easier to just point at the runner on 3rd and press X, then point at the batter to move him if the throw goes home and I think I can take the base.

I still think 2K got base running nailed down perfectly, and was probably the first baseball game I ever played in which base running wasn't jacked up by lackluster control schemes. But I'm pretty happy with The Show's base running now.

Just a heads up, on All Star difficulty new franchise with CPU trades on & set at default, the CPU will make trades starting on opening day, most of the trades seem to make sense to fill the needs of the teams involved coming out of Spring training.

This is what I like about baseball and in turn the Show.

My first 3 games of the season against the Mariners we won all three, banging out homeruns and pitching pretty well. We are in Philly against the re-building Phillies and have lost the first two games of the series and getting knocked around pretty good. Our bats aren't doing much to help.

The Show does such an amazing job of capturing the intricacies and nuances of the game of baseball.

After selling my PS4 Pro in 2017 and being stuck with RBI on my Switch since then, I couldn't take it anymore. I played 1.5 games of RBI 19 this year, in the middle of my 2nd game I said that's it, quit, went to GameStop and traded the POS in. And walked out with a PS4 Pro and The Show 19.

Poor frame rate at times I agree in 2019 for a 1st party title is pathetic. But it could be worse. Just play a game of RBI.

I'm loving the game so far and have played 4 exhibition games, finally started my MIL franchise yesterday with the latest rosters. First game against STL I won 12-6 but those pesky Cards scored 1 in the 9th and stranded 2 on base to end the game; I picked up a rare 3 inning save. Carpenter hit 2 HR off me and DeJong hit one. Goldschmidt is ice cold to start the year just like in real life last year.

Fielding animations are so much improved compared to 2017. Ballparks look and sound great to me. I'm using dynamic hitting and pitching and have advanced to "veteran" on both, so I expect lower scoring games to come because hitting will get harder.

The positives far outweigh the negatives in this game and I'm having a blast. I bought (another) PS4 Pro just for The Show...I'm insane.

Yea I haven't had the framerate issue. But tvs make a difference. Always have for the show.

Although i don't disagree with you about tv's that matter.
My problem is that i'm using the samsung high end 2018 4k hdr tv.
18 had no frame rate issues, and 19 does (for me).

So same tv with different result.
