Yeah, I started with by signing Carlos Gonzalez and platooning him, but he never really caught on. Called up Vlad Jr. mid April and he's been a beast. The biggest issue (or great thing), is that Grichuk has been a monster for me, slashing .308/.388/.485 with 31 homers and 82 RBI (just about at the allstar break), so I've stolen a lot more games than I've deserved (sitting 4.5 up on the Yanks for 1st in the AL East).

As a Jays fan, I'm just finding it hard to go out and make deals to upgrade, which is why I might switch to the Marlins. I'd have trouble trading a Bo/Alford/Pearson, but don't think I'd feel bad about trading a Neidert/Harrison/Garrett if I was the Marlins.

I might just start it for the weekend and see if I enjoy it. Sixto Sanchez could become a monster for me.

Edit: Oh my lanta, there's really nobody to trade here hahahaha

I just started a franchise with the Phillies. Looking forward to building around Harper.

Really struggling with picking a team to use this year. I am a diehard Orioles fan so that’s hard to do for obvious reasons. I want to play 162 and carryover for next years game. Any suggestions on which team to use? Do you guys play as your favorite team or do you select another team for a different reason?

I am almost thinking about selecting a team at random and just going with it.

I always go with my Dodgers. It’s too hard for me to stay interested in a team I’m not a fan of

Beat the Rockies in Coors, 15-5. I’m pretty sure that’s an MLBTS record for most runs scored for me, and I’ve been playing this series a long time.

MLB the Show 19 - Baltimore Orioles Franchise

                  April 12, 2019

We got pounded by the Yankees in a 3 game sweep at home, then salvaged a split of a 4 game set against the A’s and are currently an MLB-worst 3-10. Its early but this is what I expected.

A few roster moves - Renato Nunez was shipped to Norfolk after starting the season 2-for-30 something. Rio Ruiz was called up to take his place.

AAA - LHP John Means to 10-day IL with pectoral strain suffered on opening day.

AA - Our #9 Prospect RHP Dean Kremer will be out until at least mid-June after suffering a broken leg. He led the minor leagues in strkeouts in 2018 and was a key piece in the Manny Macado trade with the Dodgers.

I couldn’t wait for OSFM so I finessed my own.... I imported the top 100 prospects in MLB, and top 30 prospects for the Orioles from a carryover franchise and did some edits/re-rates for accuracy. It took a long time.

I’m playing a carryover franchise from ‘16 that is using rosters I created then.

Guys like Aaron Judge, Shohei Ohtani, and Ronald Acuna Jr are CAPS for me

On the first pitch of the bottom of the 1st in San Diego Justin Turner makes a diving catch for a low line drive landing awkwardly on third base fracturing his hand. With Turner being placed on the 60 Day IL. Kike Hernandez will take over at 3rd. Hernandez has the makings of an every day third baseman but Turner’s bat will be missed as Hernandez has been mediocre at the plate this season.

AAA third baseman Donovan Solano was called up to fill the open roster spot. Not much is expected from the 31 year old Solano other than to provide Hernandez with an occasional rest day.

Trade Announcement: Blue Jays acquire RP Seughwan Oh from the Yankees for C Michael Perez.

Cardinals send Magnerius Sierra to the Yankees for prospects

The Cardinals have made their 2nd and most likely last move of Spring Training sending Magnerius Sierra to the Yankees for 2 prospects. Sierra who was the starting CF last year, appeared to have lost that job to Harrison Bader. The thought was maybe move Sierra to right, but he's been outplayed by Tommy Pham who manned that corner last year. With Sierra not willing to be a bench/role player, the Cardinals decided to move him.

                          In return the Cardinals get:

Oscar Mercado - LF (former Cardinal)
Floyd East - SS (Yanks 1st round pick last year - A potential rated 70 already)

Oscar Mercado will battle to the 5th outfielder when camp breaks. Floyd East will be brought along thru the minor leagues, most likely playing Single A this year.

I have narrowed it down to 5 teams for my franchise mode! A’s, Marlins, Tigers, Orioles, and D Backs... I’m an A’s fan so I always prefer them but kind of want to do a different team this year any other team I should consider?

I mean if you download a prospect roster Jays could be very good fast. There's also angels solid pieces but never able to put it together same can be said of Seattle

Just no hit the Marlins with Darvish. (HOF pitching) would have been a perfect game but an error by bryant in the 5th ruined that. Cubs hit 4 home runs with Anthony Rizzo hitting 2. Bryant also added his 10th homer as the Cubs improve to 23-11.
