Bit of a work around for 30 team control if you're just managing trades. Since I use the trade discussion board for my trades, I keep force trades on. So if you're willing to look at the transaction and undo it, you could just trade each players back to their teams from yours

Do you mind sharing what you have for Frazier’s ratings? I really don’t get why SDS rated him so low. They give him 40’s contact and power yet they make a guy who never even played an MLB game yet an 85 OVR, basically a star hitter.

TBH I think the Vlad rating was fair. He hit .381/.437/.636 in the minors last year. You can look at the attributes of guys in the minors in your franchise and won’t see those numbers. IMO he HAS to be at least 70’s - 80’s across the board. I think I juiced Frazier up into the high-60’s / low-70’s for power as well. Many might feel thats generous but thats what it takes to simulate production like that. I’ve always felt Ridin’s rosters to be a little light on the ratings for guys in the minors (no disrespect intended obviously). But if a guy is hitting homers at a rate that would give him 20-30 over a full season his power has to be at least 60-70, even in the minors in order to achieve realistic stats.

Re: MLB The Show 19 Franchise Discussion Thread

Annoyingly, I've had to abandon my Rays franchise 6 weeks into the season as I wasn't running 30 team control and the league has collapsed into Ai stupidity. The Yankees are currently running with a 3 man bullpen and a bunch of teams are DHin their pitchers. Terrific.

So I'm a bit too annoyed to redo all my progress with the Rays, so have started a fresh save for now with the truly impressive Baltimore orioles, expecting a tough year. The outfield looks a particularly bad issue, with everyone having fielding below 60 it seems, with a couple below 40. To remedy this, we sign a 59 year old Ichiro to play some incredibly average centerfield and let him keep his big league dream alive. other than that, it's no changes for the mighty orioles.

First game of the season is at Yankee Stadium, which is ominous, but it goes surprisingly well, with Bundy only giving up 2 runs in 6 strong innings. We tie it up on an unlikely Jesus Sucre homer and it becomes a bullpen battle for the last 3 innings. That turns out to be the mismatch that it sounds, with Gary Sanchez smoking a 3 run homer after Rio Ruiz bobbled an obvious double play ball to get us out of the 8th unscathed. Chapman strikes out the side in the 9th and it's an expected losing start for the o's.

Other side of that coin is - I have to be fair the other way. Guys that had poor seasons in the minors get lowered. Albert Abreu (#9 prospect, 63 ish overall on Ridin’s roster) pitched to a ~4.50 ERA in A-ball in 2018. I busted him down to a result of low-50’s overall. Is a guy like that ready for AA? I hope so but also have to be fair. Guys rocketing through the low minors striking out 12-13 batters per 9 should be higher, and if they are good will be blowing past AA and AAA in real life. It took me a long time to fix up this roster (and I only applied this level of detail to the Yankees due to how time consuming it was). I have 30-team control so I can adjust mid-season if things seem out of whack, but I’ve played this game long enough to have a good idea of where things should end up.

13-9 with the Blue Jays so far, called up Vlad and Bo 2 games ago. I play the first 5, then play 1 a series from then on out.

Stroman started the season with 17 scoreless innings. My rotation has held up well so far, and Grichuk has 8 HR's on the month. Surprisingly, Johnathan Davis is is 21/40, absolutely killing it.

We are off to a good start so far, hope it holds up. This division will be a tough one to compete in and I did not envision playoffs until at LEAST year 3. Maybe we can surprise.

The 2022 White Sox are past the Trade deadline at 68-37.

We needed a power bat so we made one trade at the deadline.

We traded 3 prospects: 3B Franklin Rivers (22, 69 overall B Potential), CF Luis Robert (24, 73 overall B Potential) and SP Adolfo Ramirez (23, 70 overall C potential) to the Mets for Yoenis Cespedes.

We did have 4 All-Stars this year in SP Omar Salgado, CP Nate Jones, CF Charlie Tilson and RF Eloy Jimenez.

Was one other trade in the MLB on pretty quiet deadline

The Orioles acquired 2B Gavin Cecchini from the Mets for RF Prospect Lamar Sparks, LF Prospect Travis Woodson and RP prospect Edgar Tejada

                Updated AL Central Standings:

                White Sox 68-37
                Twins 62-45 7.0 GB
                Indians 54-41 14.0 GB
                Royals 51-53 16.5 GB
                Tigers 39-66 29.0 GB

MLB the Show 19 - NY YANKEES FRANCHISE

                  2019 Preseason Top Prospects

                  #1 – CF Estevan Florial – Age 21 – A+ Tampa Tarpons

Coming off a breakout 2017 season that rocketed him to the top of the organization’s prospect rankings, Florial broke the hamate bone in his wrist in 2018 which limited him to just 84 games. He boasts a raw but outstanding toolset with plus arm strength, speed, and power, and profiles as a true centerfielder in the mold of Curtis Granderson. Florial needs to redeem himself from a lost 2018 but a strong first half could force a mid-season promotion to AA.

#2 – RHP Jonathan Loaisiga – Age 24 – MLB New York Yankees

A true diamond in the rough unearthed by the Yankees pro scouting department, the oft-injured Loaisiga was signed by the Yankees after being released by the San Francisco Giants in 2015, and he ascended all the way to the majors from A+ in 2018. He boasts easy gas, sitting 95-96 and touching 98 at will, to go with a plus changeup and above-average curveball with major league command. He has frontline stuff but also serious questions about his health and durability; he will compete for a spot on the major league roster in Spring Training.

                  #3 – CF Everson Pereira – Age 18 – A Charleston RiverDogs

Pereira was the gem of the Yankees 2017 international signing class – he inked for $1.5 million out of Venezuela and made his pro debut in 2018 at Rookie-level Pulaski. Pereira presents an all-around blend of skills, with scouts putting future plus grades on his hit, run, and raw power tools. He’s obviously a long way off, but the organization feels he should be able to handle an aggressive assignment to low-A Charleston to begin 2019.

                  #4 – C Anthony Seigler – Age 20 – A Charleston RiverDogs

Seigler was the starting catcher on the 18U World Cup Team before being drafted by the Yankees 23rd overall in 2018 out of a Georgia high school. A switch hitter, he projects just average offensively but is advanced defensively with a near-elite arm and is considered a team leader with outstanding makeup. He’ll join Pereira in low-A to begin 2019.

                  #5 – RHP Michael King – Age 24 – AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Railriders

King was picked up in a seemingly minor trade that sent Caleb Smith and Garrett Cooper to the Marlins, after which he rewarded the organization with a breakout 2018 advancing all the way to AAA from A+. King doesn’t have a frontline repertoire, as he attacks hitters with a cutter and 2-seamer in the low-90’s and average breaking stuff. His ceiling isn’t as high as other Yankees hurlers, but he seems to be the safest bet to make the majors and it should happen in 2019.

                  #6 – RHP Deivi Garcia – Age 20 – A+ Tampa Tarpons

Along with King, Garcia (a 2015 signing out of the Dominican) was one of the system’s biggest risers in 2018. He can reach 95 with the heat but his calling card is an absolute hammer of a curveball, which he used to rack up 12.8 K/9 across three levels last season. The only question about Garcia is whether his size (5’9”, 165) and high-effort delivery will eventually force him into a bullpen role in the future.

                  #7 – RHP Roansy Contreras – Age 19 – A Charleston RiverDogs

Another teenage signing out of the Dominican, Contreras came to the US from the Dominican Summer League in 2017 and a year later was rated as the #5 prospect in the New York-Penn League after his time with the Staten Island Yankees in 2018. He features a fastball that has touched 96 with running life to both sides of the plate, as well as a curve and change that rate at least average. Still just 19, his physical development should dictate how high his ultimate ceiling is.

                  #8 – CF Antonio Cabello – Age 18 – (Rookie) Pulaski Yankees

After spending a good chunk of the 2017 offseason acquiring international bonus slot money to make an unsuccessful run at Shohei Ohtani, the Yankees found themselves with a surplus: part of which was used to sign Cabello out of Venezuela. Cabello came to the US as a 17-year old, where he tore up the rookie-level Gulf Coast League with a .321/.426/.555 batting line. Originally a catcher, his outfield defense may be tough to gague though he presents an intriguing offensive skill set that could propel him quickly through the lower levels.

#9 – RHP Albert Abreu – Age 23 – MLB New York Yankees

Abreu was part of the package received from Houston in exchange for Brian McCann after the 2016 season. Abreu dealt with injuries and ineffectiveness at High-A Tampa in 2018, though he still has huge upside if he can put it all together. A member of the 40-man roster, Abreu will likely head to AA after Spring Training where he looks to rebound from a down 2018 and get closer to realizing his #2 starter ceiling.

                  #10 – RHP Matt Sauer – Age 20 – A Charleston RiverDogs

Sauer hit 97 mph as a high school senior before being drafted in the 2nd round by the Yankees in 2017 and signing for an above-slot $2.5 million. He has a starter’s repertoire with a fastball with running and sinking action at 90-94, a mid-80’s curve and a mid-80’s changeup that both flash average potential. Sauer needs to better his off-speed pitches and his command, but if he does he could be a #4 starter.

                  #11 – RHP Luis Medina – Age 20 – A Charleston RiverDogs
                  #12 – CF Josh Stowers – Age 22 – A Charleston RiverDogs
                  #13 – RHP Clarke Schmidt – Age 23 – A+ Tampa Tarpons
#14 – RHP Chance Adams – Age 24 – MLB New York Yankees
                  #15 – LF/RF Anthony Garcia – Age 18 – (Rookie) Pulaski Yankees
                  #16 – RHP Osiel Rodriguez – Age 17 – Dominican Summer League
                  #17 – SS Oswald Peraza – Age 19 – A Charleston RiverDogs
                  #18 – RHP Garrett Whitlock – Age 23 – AA Trenton Thunder
                  #19 – RHP Nick Nelson – Age 23 – AA Trenton Thunder
                  #20 – RHP Trevor Stephan – Age 23 – AA Trenton Thunder
                  #21 – C Jason Lopez – Age 21 – A+ Tampa Tarpons
                  #22 – RHP Juan Then – Age 19 – A- Staten Island Yankees
                  #23 – RHP Frank German – Age 21 – A+ Tampa Tarpons
#24 – RHP Domingo Acevedo – Age 25 – MLB New York Yankees
                  #25 – RHP Yoendrys Gomez – Age 19 – (Rookie) Pulaski Yankees
                  #26 – RHP Luis Gil – Age 21 – A Charleston RiverDogs
#27 – SS Thairo Estrada – Age 23 – MLB New York Yankees
#28 – CF Raimfer Salinas – Age 18 – (Rookie) Gulf Coast League Yankees
                  #29 – C Antonio Gomez – Age 16 – Dominican Summer League
                  #30 – CF Kevin Alcantara – Age 16 – Dominican Summer League

My system is weak on infielders and lefthanded pitching. Need to address.

2019 Chicago White Sox Fantasy Franchise

We have successfully completed the opening 5 game road trip at 4-1. In typical Show fashion, each game had its own feel and played out very different. These were the results:

                    @KC
                    12-1 W
                    5-3 W
                    6-1 W

                    @CLE
                    2-3 L(10 Inn)
                    8-6 W

I’ve already experienced a number of Firsts/Bests for 2019 in this start to the season(I’ve played somewhere between 40-50 games since getting the game). Martinez striking out 11, Archer pitched a CG(1 run on 6 hits), lost my first game on sac bunting(EVERYONES FREAKIN FAVORITE), hit my two longest HR of the year in the same inning, two batters apart(456/460 pic attached).

A few notes on my team. I will be running a LH/RH platoon at 1B with Thames/Pujols and Albert has looked great in his first two starts. Game 2 he was the difference as he hit a HR and a 2B and drove in 4 in a 5-3 W. Then his next start he hit a 3-R HR. He leads the team early with 7 RBI.

I decided before the season to experiment with Stanek in the closer role. I think his stuff is filthy and he can hit triple digits with his FB. I also like that he has higher stamina than a typical closer so if I want him to go more than 1 inning it should be a problem. So far he’s 2/3 in saves with 2 strong performances and one tough luck one(BB, 2 bunt singles, sac fly, wild pitch walk off on an attempted sac bunt). If he struggles in the role as the year goes on I have Jeremy Jeffress who is a stud and can step in.

Great start to the year, definitely excited about this team and ready for our Home Opener with Carlos Martinez going up vs Luke Weaver and the Seattle Mariners(3-5). IMG_1035.JPG

For as long as I’ve watched baseball, Memorial Day has always been my first marker of the season. The way I see it, you are what you are at Memorial Day. There has been about a 1/3 of the season played.

With that said, my 2025 cubs sit 4.5 games back with a 27-26 record. Kris Bryant has rebounded nicely from his horrid start and sits with a .271 ave, 16 hrs, 32 rbis and an Onbase of .373. He was below the Mendoza line 3 weeks in. Duran (my Ryno clone) is at .256, 14 bombs, 42 rbis and 15 steals. Higgins (my leadoff spark plug) is having a major bounce back year and getting more towards his ave statline opposed to his slump 2024 year. He’s currently at .291 with an OB of .426 and 36 steals. Pitching wise Feller is backing up his superb 2024 with a 8-2 record and a 3.77 era. However, my man horse for the last 4 years is having a concerning season. Varela over the last 3 years could be penciled in for a sub 3, 250+ K, 210+ inn line. This year he’s 4-5 with an era over 5.50. Velocity is still surperb but this sort of fall off has me wondering if his workload is catching up. I’m monitoring the situation and will skip starts if necessary.

Cards win 6th straight. Tied with Pirates atop the NL Central

We have now won 6 straight after taking the first two against the Cubs in Wrigley. Game 1 saw Drew Harrington pitch well and enjoy the benefits of his offense scoring 12 runs. Game 2 saw Luke Weaver make a spot start for the injured Miles Mikolas (who's pitching for the injured Wacha) and go 5 innings before being lifted in the 6th after a Schwarber 2 run homer made it a 6-4 game in favor of the Cards.

Our offense has been rolling of late as we have scored 27 runs over our last 3 games. We lead the majors in runs scored per game and are in the Top 5 in most offensive categories (leading in runs per game and walks)

We are in a stretch where we are playing 16 straight days (thanks MLB) so deep starts by the starting pitching staff is a must during this stretch.

After the series finale against the Cubs we will travel to Miami for 3.

Cardinals officially place Tommy Pham on the trade block

The Cardinals have alerted the other 29 clubs that they are open to offers for Tommy Pham. The 34 year old broke camp as the everyday right fielder (leading to the trade of Magnerius Sierra), but his offensive struggles have seen him moved to the bench in favor of the hot hitting Corey Ray. Pham is barely over .200 with an OBP of just under .300. He leads the team in double plays hit into. He is in the final year of his contract.

Corey Ray has been swinging a hot bat of late hitting over .300 with an OBP of over .450. He is on a very team friendly contract as he's in the 2nd year of a 5 year deal that pays him $2.7M per year. Ray broke camp as the 4th outfielder and a left handed bat off the bench. He has played his way thru the first nearly two months of the season into the starter in right fielder.

Cardinals have been discussing Tommy Pham with the Red Sox, but have recently taken inquiries from the Giants and the A's. Out of the three, the Giants are thought to be the least likely trade partner simply due to them being a fellow National League team.

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Currently sitting at 5-1 with my pirates. I’m currently out scoring my opponents 27-9 as my starters and bullpen have been fantastic. Hitting has been a struggle but 2 of my 3 trades were to acquire nomar Mazara and Grayson greiner while shipping cervalli(old), and marte (still wanted to have value sitting at 29. Before I get too far along.. should i restart with 30 team control before the havoc starts????? Please help.

Dont really know where to post this, w/o creating a new thread, this one should suffice. When Albert Pujols & Ichiro retire, they go HoF'ing. But Yadier Molina bows out , no dice. Shouldnt he be a HoF'er? He's been in the Cardinal organisation for nearly 20 years (since 2000) longer with the same organisation than any other active player. And thats just the most minor thing of what makes him Hall-worthy IMO

                                Insane all star game.

NL won 9-7. Jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first and later tacked on 2. AL countered with 2 in the 5th and then a 5 run 8th to tie it 7. Up 9-7 in the 9th and Mike Trout came up with runners on the corners and 2 out and crushed one to the warning track.

Bryce Harper went 4-5 with 3 HRs for the NL.
                                Trout hit 2.

                                7 home runs total
