I play on Hall of Fame, both hitting and pitching. I am pretty close to Armor’s sliders, but I have CPU color hits at default (5) instead of 4 the way he has it. Don’t ever want to feel like I’m giving myself an unfair advantage pitching (or hitting for that matter).

I make all my stuff on photoshop so I could send it to you if you have photoshop. You’d just have to edit in your own stuff but it could basically be a template.

I think you can do a franchise with your buddy using PS4 Shareplay!

Oh man, if that actually works, that would be sick. I'll look into it sometime soon. Thanks for the heads up on that.

Nice perfect game. That's one thing I've never done in all my years playing any MLB game. I've never thrown a no-hitter or perfect game. Closest I came was a 1-hitter with Cole Hamels in Colorado in MLB 10. One day I'll get it, hopefully

Re: MLB The Show 19 Franchise Discussion Thread

2025 Cubs sit at 40-35 thru 75 games. We have just lost the first 2 in a 3 set against division leading Cincy and now sit 4.5 off the pace.

Bryce Harper is currently on pace for his finest season I've ever had with him and I have won a triple crown with him in 2017 (.343-48-141 for those that care ). Thru 75 games he sits at .331 with 26 Hrs and 77 Rbis with a Barry Bonds PED slg of .730. This is just amazing. Kris Bryant currently sits at .257 with 20 Hrs and 47 Rbis and Morgan Duran is at .249 with 18 Hrs and 52 Rbis. They averages are both at least 40 points off of their career marks. Perhaps my favorite occurrence thus far in 2025 is the bounce back year Rolando Higgins is having. He had a slash fo .255/.349/.278 in 2024 but sits at .295/.430/.390 in 2025 with 56 steals (Im trying my hardest for that 132 mark).

As you can see offense has been great. Pitching has just been a whole other story. Team ERA is over 4.50 and I just haven't been able to dial it in. If this continues it will be the reason why my division streak ends.

                    Question about AI roster management...

Gonna be doing 30 team control and the 2 profile thing... Question I have is do CPU teams make big moves like the recent release of Matt Kemp, promoting to MLB like Vlad Jr and Senzel, optioning Don Smith in favor of Heichavvaria, option struggling players, things like that?

It’s way too hard to try and reflect what happens IRL into Franchise’s.

As someone who does single team control...

Yes the CPU will make some moves based on production of players. In my franchise (carryover) the Jays just optioned Ryan Goins to the minors and recalled Vlad Jr. The Mariners optioned someone (sorry name escapes me now) to bring up Ken Griffey III.

They typically will only release a player when they make a trade that brings them to over 90 players. Other than that, they will just move players thru the different levels.

The one thing I'm wanting the AI to do is sign free agents when they have a need, but thus far they haven't. I have a couple of teams with 89 players after trades, but aren't signing some notable free agents on the market.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Re: MLB The Show 19 Franchise Discussion Thread

I was 6 weeks into my season when I restarted it because it wasn’t 30-team control. I’m at the All-Star break with the Sox. We’re in second place in the Central, 10 games behind the Indians. I traded Rodon, Steele Walker, Malcom Nunez (who I acquired from StL) and Nick Madrigal to the Mets for Thor. Only to lose him during his first start for 2 months due to a broken arm.

The draft went very well for us. First round we drafted Ricky Gorman a 22 year old 3B out of Texas. Overall is 70 with a 96 potential. My plan is to move him over to 1B. With the 41st pick I struck gold again when Robby McCardell fell to us. He’s an 18 year old 1B out of North Carolina. He’ll be a project but if all goes well he should live up to his 98 potential.

I know he’s only 22 but I’m really considering converting Kopech into a closer. Starters with only 3 pitches really bother me. In fact I don’t like my aces to have less than 5 pitches. The inability for pitchers to learn another pitch really bugs me. If I add another pitch to his repertoire will the attributes increase or decrease as he goes along? I’ve never really paid attention, do the pitch ratings normally increase and decrease?

                        Draft Results:

                        Ricky Gorman 22 3B 96 potential
                        Robby McCardell 18 1B 98
                        Craig Haller 19 SP 93
                        Manuel Rodriguez 20 LF 94
                        Earnest Franco 22 SP 88
                        Enrique Machado 22 C 72

                        3B Yoan Moncada .253 11 40

                        DH Kyle Schwarber .222 18 51
                        LF Eloy Jiménez .247 7 34
                        RF Franmil Reyes .255 4 21

If I understand you correctly, you're asking if there will be a prompt to let you know that a team is under 90 player?

If so, the answer to the best of my knowledge is no, as when I am under 90 players with my team, there is no notification that I am under.

No, I meant if the AI would eventually attempt to sign a FA or would they ride out an 89 team roster the entire year.
