Certainly will. Still have to watch the Game 5 in the Boston and Oakland series though. Both NLDS series went to game 5 as well. Watched the Colorado and Philly game 5 last night, with Philly winning that series with a 5-4 win. Just finished watching the Atlanta and Cubs game, Atlanta winning 8-2.

Re: MLB The Show 19 Franchise Discussion Thread
As I mentioned before, I assign a seasonal uniform guide for all my teams. For 2025, I originally decided that I was gonna limit the use of alternate uniforms and just run with a home and road look for each squad. Well 90 games in, I've decided to make Saturdays a league wide throwback/Alt/combo of both day. For my Cubs, I will be using the 1929 Home and road looks with the Stars and Striped hat as my Saturday look (FWIW, this is a fantastic look...give it a try the next time you play the Cubs)
Just as an example here is what the 2025 NL central will look like going forward:
CUBS
Home - Default home White Striped Away - Default road gray
Saturday - 1929 home and away
CARDINALS
Home - Cream Home Alt Away - Baby Blue Road Alt
Saturday - 1942 Home and Away
REDS
Home - 1975 Home white Away - 1975 Road gray
Saturday - 1934 Home and Away
BREWERS
Home - 1982 White Striped Away - 1993 Road gray
Saturday - 1970 Home white and Road Baby Blue
PIRATES
Home - 1994 Home White Away 1994 Road gray
Saturday - 1978 Home White Striped and Road Yellow over Black pantsLast edited by SFNiners816; 05-14-2019, 11:40 AM.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 19 Franchise Discussion Thread
Cubs have finally put together a few wins. I wish I could play the Reds every game. Haha. I absolutely DESTROYED them. I scored 12 runs in the first inning (yes, you read that correctly) in the second game of the series. There was a cool moment when I pushed across my 12th run when the commentators (and an overlay) made mention of me closing in on the MLB record for runs in the first inning, which is 16 by the way.

2022 White Sox Franchise
The White Sox were waiting to see who they'll face in the ALCS as the Oakland Atheletics and Boston Red Sox series headed to a Game 5. Game 5 featured former White Sox Ace Chris Sale on the mound for Boston vs Oakland's Sean Manaea. Chis Sale was showing his MVP form as he dominated Oakland hitters only giving up 4 hits in a complete game shutout. He was backed by a 4th inning 3 Run J.D. Martinez homer and a 4 run 6th inning that featured a Xander Bogaerts solo homer, a Nino Almanzar bases loaded walk and another run on an Oakland error. Leading to a 7-0 Boston win.
ALCS preview

Game 2 - BOS at CWS - Starters: Todd Lund vs Micheal Kopech
Game 3 - CWS at BOS - Starters: Omar Salgado vs David Price

Re: MLB The Show 19 Franchise Discussion Thread
I've been on a great stretch but this next game will be tough. Verlander's numbers are eye-popping.

Much appreciated. I’ve always enjoyed making them. For me it just adds a ton to my immersion. Especially come playoff time... if I make it that is.
I’m planning on doing periodic games like I’ve been doing as well as the following:
1. End of month reports (already had one from April).
2. Draft recap
3. Mid-season report
4. All postseason games
5. End of year report
6. Offseason recap.
7. Season preview (before the new season starts).

4 Game series in Cincinnati
July 18-21
Game 1:
Cardinals squander a great start by Gibson late at Crosley field! Hicks allowed a 3 run shot by Morgan in the bottom of the eighth putting the Reds up by 1. The Cards would tie it back up in the 9th forcing extras, but a 2 run walk off bomb by Perez in the 10th would seal the deal!

Game 2:
Wainwright unable to get through 5 once again. The Reds hand the Cards yet another humbling beat down this season as the Redbirds offense fell completely silent and they continue to search for quality starts outside their big 3 in the rotation. The bullpen has been worked hard over this stretch of games and it’s not over yet. Hopefully they can dig deep and possibly salvage a a split and regain some kind of momentum before the Cubs visit them at Busch to end the month.
* side note, although the cameras didn’t show it, one of Cincys fans I guess decided to jump on the field stopping play briefly lol! Thought that was funny. I’ve gotten the beachball before but never that one haha!

Re: MLB The Show 19 Franchise Discussion Thread
First game post patch:
DET 5 9 0
ATL. 4 14 0
Game tied up in 9th 4-4.
Newly acquired Josh Fields took the loss. With two out some nobody on Detroit named Greiner hit a real blooper down the right field line to score the go ahead run.
Bottom of the 9th, Markakis doubles with two out. Acuna hit a s l o w roller past closer Greene. Beckham stretched but couldn’t pick it up, booting the ball a few feet away (I smell SDS installed comeback code kicking in). Big Mike Will struck out on a pitch so outside it all most hit the batboy. (SDS developer sends me a message for disproving the comeback code)
How’s this for a race?
ATL. 30-29
PHI. 29-29
WAS. 29-29
NYM. 28-31
MIA. 25-32Last edited by KnightTemplar; 05-14-2019, 11:23 PM.Comment

Trade deadline looming
Looks like the Phillies are trying to get back into the post season mix! Only 6.5 out of the wild card they trade for Closer Ken Giles! Wonder if they plan to do more, or if that was it? There’s already been some big name trades! Anxious to see what else unfolds as the deadline gets closer!

2022 White Sox Franchise - Game 1 ALCS
Game 1 turned into a marathon with a starting pitching match up of White Sox Ace Carlos Carrasco up against Eduardo Rodriquez for the Red Sox. Nobody scored until the 3rd when White Sox DH Rob Refsnyder would hit a solo shot to lead off the bottom half followed by RBI Doubles by Eloy Jimenez and Yoenis Cespedes later in the inning for a 3-0 Chicago lead after 3. Lead would stand until the 7th inning when the Red Sox would put 4 runs across that included a 2 RBI Single by J.D. Martinez and a 2 run homer by Mookie Betts to give Boston a 4-3 lead going into the bottom half of the 7th. Refsnyder would tie it back up at 4 a piece in the bottom half of the 7th with a Sac Fly. The 4-4 tie would last until the 14th when Luis Urias walked it off for the White Sox with a 3 run homer to dead center giving Chicago the 1-0 Series lead.Attached FilesComment

Re: MLB The Show 19 Franchise Discussion Thread
We are now post All-Star break and the 2025 Cubs are making their move. Winners of 9 of 10, the Cubbies have taken over first place with a 51-38 record. We are now 1.5 up on Cincy. Pitching has gone from bad to average and that has made all the difference as the hitting after the first 10 games into the season has been out of this world. It now seems possible that the 11th straight division title is attainable.
Harper hit his 32nd of the year and KB hit his 29th in Arizona to open the second half. Cubs held onto a 7-6 win. Kris Bryant has finally got his average over .270 after spending the first half hovering in the .255 range.Comment
