2022 White Sox Franchise - Game 3 ALCS

White Sox head to Boston for Game 3 with a pitching match up of Omar Salgado for Chicago against David Price for Boston

White Sox offense broke through early in the 1st with an Yoenis Cespedes RBI double to take 1-0 lead. Chicago would add 3 in the second. Two runs coming in on a Charlie Tilson single and another on a RBI ground out by Eloy Jimenez to take a 4-0 lead in the 2nd. Chicago would make it 5-0 in the 4th on a Jimenez single. Jimenez would add his 3rd RBI in the 6th with a double followed by a 2 run homer by Yoenis Cespedes making the Chicago lead 8-0 going in to the bottom half of the 6th.

Boston would put 2 runs on the board in the bottom half of the 6th. First would come in on a Mookie Betts single and the other on a Rafael Devers single. That's all Boston would be able to bring in.

After the 8-2 Game 3 victory Chicago will be going for the ALCS sweep in game 4 putting Rookie Kevin DiBiase on the mound against Chris Sale for Boston trying to avoid the sweep.

The Cards wind up dropping 3 out of 4! The general theme without specifics, was great pitching but no offensive help! With the exception of game 2 in which they were able to get to Chris Archer! Other than that they could only manage 1 run in 3 games. Long hard road trip and right back at it after getting off the plane in St. Louis. No time to make excuses though! 3 games at Busch with the 1st place Astros then the Cubs roll into town! Feels like a do or die point in the season for sure!

Quick update: I haven't been able to play but just one game in the past week. I traveled for work last week and the internet in the hotel was pretty lousy and the setup with the TV wasn't ideal, so I only got one game in the whole week. As soon as I got back home from my trip, I was setting up my Ps4 and it barely slipped out of my hands and hit the floor. I ended up damaging the HDMI port and so at this moment, it's at the shop, being fixed.

So that's where I'm at right now. Haven't been able to play or stream in the last week and just waiting to get it returned so I can get some games in. I'm traveling again next week, but hopefully will have my Ps4 with me and a better setup than the last time.

              Current Record: 60-62

I'll post an update the next time I'm able to stream.

2022 White Sox Franchise Game 5 ALCS

White Sox have ace Carlos Carrasco on the mound against Boston's Eduardo Rodriquez.

Was a pitching duel with no score through the first 5 innings. White Sox would finally break through with a Luis Urias solo homer in the top of the 6th inning and would add a second run later in the inning on an Eloy Jimenez RBI ground out. Boston would score in the bottom half of the 6th with a Mookie Betts RBI single to trim lead to 2-1. Chicago would add a run in top of the 9th with a Kyle Seager RBI single to extend lead to 3-1. Chicago closer Nate Jones would shut down Boston bats in the bottom half of the 9th as the White Sox will return to the World Series for the first time since 2019 to face the winner of the Philadelphia Atlanta Series.

20 games into my Twins franchise. Sitting at 9-11 right now. 2 1/2 back of the Indians. Don't get a lot of time to play, but love playing every pitch of every game. Full-time teaching job, coaching HS baseball and 3 kids under 7 doesn't allow much time.

My hitting has been struggling. Starting pitching has been a strength. Bullpen is up and down. Still playing with sliders here and there to get realistic stats.

About to start a 3-game road series in Houston. The Astros are currently on fire at 16-5.

Cardinals sweep Twins in 2 game series

Cardinals swept the Twins in a mini 2 game series at Busch to extend their winning streak to 3 games. Cards won each game with a different strength. Game 1 their bats won the game (11-9). In game 2 their arms won the game (3-1).

Cardinals will now host the Nationals for a 4 game weekend series at Busch.

                      Roster Moves

Cardinals have activated Juan Fabregas from the 10 Day IL. He will be back in the lineup against the Nationals. Kyle Waldrop was optioned to Memphis to make room on the active roster.

Cardinals also activated Luke Weaver from the 10 Day IL. He will pitch Saturday's game. Kyle Funkhouser was optioned to Memphis to make room on the active roster.

2022 White Sox Franchise World Series Preview

After beating Boston in 5 games in the ALCS, only question was who the Sox would face. We found out when Philadelphia beat Atlanta in 6 games. Philly has one of the best starting rotations in the game led by ace Aaron Nola. Not only is their pitching good so is their lineup led by Rhys Hoskins. On paper it would appear Philly would have the advantage but games are not played on paper and the White Sox are confident that they can get it done with the home field advantage.

Game 1 - PHI at CWS - Aaron Nola vs Michael Kopech
Game 2 - PHI at CWS - Zach Eflin vs Omar Salgado
Game 3 - CWS at PHI - Kevin DiBiase vs Ben Lively
Game 4 - CWS at PHI - Carlos Carrasco vs Jake Arrieta
Game 5 - CWS at PHI - Pitchers TBA
Game 6 - PHI at CWS - Pitchers TBA

                              Gomber vs Verlander
Gomber again provides an outstanding start, but Verlander would match against the Cards struggling offense! 1-1 score heading to the late innings and the bullpens would continue the dominance on both sides. Gant got drilled by a comebacker hard on the back and would leave the game but later say everything felt fine. Astros used Osuna early and for extended innings as the game would last until the 14th when Yadi would finally provide the heroics with a walk off shot! Much needed win, with not so much needed extra baseball for the Cards!

Houston would jump out to an early 2-0 lead with a 2 run Bagwell bomb, but the Cardinals would get it back in the 2nd with a Brock triple then an Ozuna sac fly, followed by a solo shot from Gyorko. Cards had a lineup full of backups on Saturday to give most of their starters a much needed rest. The Astros would eventually put it out of reach on a 3 run Correa HR! Rubber match on Sunday then a much needed day off before this much anticipated Cubs series starts Tuesday!
