You can't take your PS4 to the hotel room? I sure as hell would. I'd be going through Show withdraws.

My thoughts exactly. I'm actually going to be away for work for 2 straight weeks. You better believe I'm taking my Ps4 along with me.

Cubs sweep Cardinals. Tulo back to IL

The Cardinals were swept by the Cubs in Busch stadium over the weekend. One game it was no offense, next no pitching, and last nothing at all. The Cardinals are now 4 games back of the Pirates as they head to Texas for a 3 game interleague matchup with the Rangers.

To make matters worse Troy Tulowitzki went back on the IL went a bicep injury. It's thought he will only be on the shelf for about 2 weeks. Paul DeJong was recalled to take his roster spot.

          Roster News

The Cardinals activated Juan Fabregas from the 10 Day IL. He will join the team in Texas. Kyle Waldrop was placed on Optional Assignment waivers to make room. It was expected to be Oscar Mercado but the front office decided that Mercado is more valuable to the club than Waldrop.

The Cardinals also activated Tyler Lyons from the 10 Day IL. He too will join the team in Texas. Corey Littrell was optioned to Memphis in a corresponding move.

Barrett Stephenson and Tristan Knox have gotten off to real cold starts for the Cardinals but both have been hitting the ball hard as of late, but just into bad luck. So they are showing signs of snapping out of it.

Knox's eventual replacement at 1B, 6'6 Reid Killebrew, is tearing up Memphis (.327 11HR 31RBI .655SLG 1.008OPS) and may force his way to the main roster if Stephenson or Knox continue to struggle.

Also, with the struggles of Loren Herrera in the bullpen, talk is that young 21 year old fireballer, J.D. Hovermill, may be called up. Hovermill (6'4 215 R/R from California) has 9 saves and is averaging 12.66 K's per 9 in his 10.2 innings of work in Memphis.

Cardinals start May on Friday, May 2 vs the Seattle Mariners at Busch Stadium for a 3 game weekend set before Houston comes into town on Tuesday for a quick 2 game series before the Cards go back on the road for an 11 games in 11 days (4 @ Cubs, 3 @ Rockies, and 4 @ Giants) before returning home on May 20.

Friday's pitching matchup will be Jerome Aristy (3-2 5.40 ERA) for the Mariners against Jeff Schweitzer (3-0 3.03 ERA) for the Cardinals.

Saturday: Carmelo Franco (3-4 5.73 ERA) vs Ryan Hart (1-2 3.82).

Sunday: Jose Castillo (1-4 5.92) vs Spencer Yoshida (3-0 2.89)

Much appreciated. I just threw a perfect game with Darvish. Ha. Definitely going to do a page for that.

Wow, that's crazy. Will be a cool page I'm sure. I've never been able to throw a no-hitter on alternative sliders. Nice job man.

I'm 51-51 now. This is the first time since I was 7-7 that I've been at .500. 4 games back of the Wild Card.

Nah, I don't have room for a full-size console. I take my Switch, though, so guess it'll be RBI Baseball 19 (which I enjoy) if I have time to play any games.

Man, do I love this years version. 4-3 into the 9th. Closer by committee brings Venters. Giants tie it up to go to the 10th. I go down meekly.

Solarte doubles to lead it off
Duggar grounds out to Albies on the right side moving runner to 3rd
I call for two intentional walks to Sandoval and Panik
Bring the corners in for the suicide squeeze
Bring in Westover to replace Kyle Crockett
Posey lines the first pitch up the middle

                      Giants win

                      ATL 4 11 0
                      SF 5 13 1

                      Game never felt so right.

                      Team hates me.

Braves chise. Just got drubbed by the marlins 16-9. Felt like every pitch I threw was getting smoked. Split the series with the Padres prior to this, then lost the first two against the fish. Hopefully right the ship before a tough series against the Dodgers.

First in the division, at 21-12. Phillies one game behind. Then the rest of the division is already 10+ back.

Ozzie albies has been my best player hitting lead-off. Batting over .300 with a few Jack's. Freddie Freeman really slumping, barely hitting over the mendoza line. Thinking about pushing him down in the lineup to hopefully get his bat going, but seems early to pull the rug from my most decorated hitter.
