I'm using Mike Lowe's sliders, but I'm not sure that they've actually been posted on here for MLB 19.

I'm not for sure if I'm allowed to post this, but I'm streaming my franchise right now, if anyone is interested in watching. Cards vs. Cubs right now. Game 2 of the 3 series. I (Cards) took the first game of the series 7-4. Currently 54-53. 5.5 back in the Wild Card chase.

Default Legend for both hitting (zone) and pitching (meter)

The only slider adjustment is that I have injuries at 8.

Another tight game with the Cubs again last night. Down 2-1 in the 7th inning Kolten Wong came to the plate with 2 on and 2 out in the inning. Lefty vs Lefty and a 2 strike count, Wong connected for just his 4th HR of the year. And it was a big one, giving the Cards a 4-2 lead.

In the 8th, Kris Bryant made it tight again by hitting a solo HR and drawing the Cubs within 1. To finish off his big day, Kolten Wong came through again in the bottom half of the 8th with a RBI single to make it a 5-3 game. Andrew Miller closed the door in the 9th and the Cards have taken the first 2 games of the 3 game set with the Cubs.

I'm about to play game 3 of the series over on Twitch, if you'd like to follow along. Jose Quintana vs. Michael Wacha.

Re: MLB The Show 19 Franchise Discussion Thread

For the first time in about 4 years, I'm embarking on actually playing the current year's title with my beloved Pirates. Still on the fence about doing 30-Team Control or not this year. I haven't in the last 2 playthroughs I've done with them, and I've been happy with the results.

The way I see it, if I do 30 team control, I can control the CPU, and keep it from making bad trades, unrealistic signings, stockpiling of prospects at a given position, etc. However, on the other side of the sword, I like the randomness that the CPU can bring, so I'm not sure if I want that level of complexity to my franchise.

At any rate, I'm going to tweak some of the ratings on the Bucs more to my liking. Certainly going to knock Jung Ho Kang down about 15-20 points, and give some potential adjustments to players like Kevin Kramer, Kevin Newman, and Nick Kingham.

Excited to get started in the right year for once!

Re: MLB The Show 19 Franchise Discussion Thread

Hello everyone! I’ve been following these threads for a couple years now but never bothered creating an account to post or reply. Kinda stalker like bwahaha! But I’m definitely almost exclusively a franchise player myself, and thoroughly love reading about the events in all of your personal alternate universes, because that’s that’s the absolute best part is the stories that are created doing so. Thank you all for sharing those experiences. I finally created an account because I’m really enjoying the universe I’m personally experiencing this year and wanted to share. Early on, before the OSFM dropped, I took the most current accurate rosters I could find, and added all the legends available to their respective teams relative to the age on that particular card. Some replaced present day versions, especially if they were on the same team. But there are some duplicate players on different teams from different points in their career. Best obvious example is Bryce Harper, present day on Phillies, rookie on Nationals. (Almost at all star break and rookie is out performing pretty significantly FYI). But these teams wind up comprised of a mix of all time greats and present day studs. Certain franchises you would assume have definite advantage because of how long they’ve existed, and certainly do from that specific angle, but there have been some very interesting and fun surprises. Most notably the Nationals/Expos! When you take the dominance of their present day rotation and couple solid position players then sprinkle in an outfield of Vlad (LF), Dawson (CF) and rookie Harper (RF), and Gary Carter behind the dish, they’re dominating the east 8 games up on a stacked Atlanta team atm! Dodgers have a decent grip on the west at the moment but SF has been battling all year as well. Injuries have really been an issue for them though. I’m playing my beloved Cardinals myself and love my entire organization top to bottom, and having a great year, but the “Super jacked Cubs” have been really giving me fits so far, 6 games in front of me. Yankees are dominating the AL east and Boston by 14 games so far, Indians have a double digit lead in the central, and the Astros have a 3 game lead in the much tighter contested west with the A’s and Texas close behind. I’ll try to post periodic fun events that unfold unless you all tell me to shut up HAHA! Thanks again to all of you for the entertaining reading you faithfully supply! LONG LIVE FRANCHISE! \m/

The Philadelphia Phillies win the season opener against the braves 7-4 on the back of Bryce Harpers 2 homerun game in his first game in a Phillies uniform. The next 5 games were then simmed and the Phillies record sits at 3-3 losing the series with the braves 1-2 splitting the 2 game series with the Nationals 1-1, and winning the first game of the series against the Twins.

Re: MLB The Show 19 Franchise Discussion Thread

Hey everyone, I've been reading this thread for a few weeks now and decided to join in as well, I've just gotten back into baseball, so I don't know every single little detail or player, so bare with me here. I ended up starting a Blue Jays franchise (obviously) and just got through spring training. I've got a few questions about player development in the game though, with Vlad Jr, should I start him in the majors or in Triple A? He's only 75 overall right now but he's got A potential so I don't want to mess him up, same with Bichette, now he's only 66 so I'm going to assume it's Double A or Triple A for him. What's a good overall to bring players up? I haven't played MLBTS since maybe 15 because I had gotten an Xbox, so this is my first game in a couple of years. Also, last question. What difficult should I start out on? I was thinking dynamic since it progresses once you get better, but it seemed too easy at the start.

Thanks for the answers in advance, looking forward to sharing my experience with you!

Im not sure if I am just late to the party, but in my Marlins franchise yesterday I was using the player search feature in the offseason and you are able to trade for guys who are arb/renewable that have not signed a contract yet. I DID NOT KNOW THIS!

I know the CPU does this all of the time, but usually when you try it just says that specific player cannot be traded because they are currently not under contract.

Hopefully I am not the only one who doesn't know this. I cant believe I have never noticed this!

This breaks my heart. 67 at bats over 16 games and Vlad was hitting .269/.310/.478 with 4 homers and 7 RBI. Now I have to go about playing every game for two months without him. Not sure what I will do. Maybe call up Biggio for a shot??
