Good luck! Some interesting moves there! Gant and Flaherty are HUGE pieces for my lengendary birds. Would have a hard time parting with them myself. But seriously, best of luck this season! Go get em bro!

The excitement was short lived. Dodgers drop game 4 by a score of 8-7.

The game looked like it was going LA’s way as the Dodgers took a 4-0 lead into the bottom of the 4th thanks to RBI singles by Bellinger and Taylor, and a 2 run double by Pederson. It all collapsed when Buehler was removed from the game in the bottom of the 4th due to injury and Otero gave up a 2 run homer to the first batter he faced and the Cubs score 3. In the 5th Otero have up RBI singles to Zobrist and Fletcher giving the Cubs a 5-4 lead. Floro comes in to pitch the 6th for the Dodgers and gives up 2 runs on Bote triple and Fletcher single.

The score remains 7-4 until the 9th when Dodgers score 3 to tie it at 7’s with a Taylor home run, and RBI singles by Muncy and Puig. Cubs Walk off in the bottom thanks to Happ sacrifice fly to center scoring Fletcher who started the inning with single.

Joe Smith earned the Loss pitching 1.1 innings and giving up 1 run on 2 hits.

Dodgers facing possible elimination will see Ross Stripling take the mound against Jon Lester.

Dodger take game 5 bringing the series to 3-2 with an 8-4 win.

2 homers by Taylor and 1 by Barnes paved the way for the win. Ross Stripling picked up the win.

Houston very well may be the youngest team relatively speaking in this universe remaining in the playoffs. And they came from possibly the weakest division this particular season. But don’t forget they won it all one year removed! These kids know how to play! And Bagwell seems ready to lead the charge, hitting 2 HR in game 1! Him and Altuve both got to the AL Cy Young winner, (hands down the most dominant pitcher all year) with dingers in the opening frame, putting the Astros up 3-0 right away! Allowing their ace Mike Scott to relax and completely dominate, throwing his splitter by almost everyone in one of the best lineups! Winning by an overwhelming 8-1 final!

THE DODGERS ARE GOING TO THE WORLD SERIES!!! LA caps off a 3 game win streak with a 2-0 win in Chavez Ravine. The Dodgers got on the board in the second when Puig singles driving in Bellinger from third. Pederson capped the scoring with a solo home run in the 4th.

Kershaw earned the win giving up 0 runs in 8.1 innings on 5 hits and striking out 7. Kenley Jansen earned a Save and Jose Quintana earned the Loss for the Cubs.

Bellinger, who led the league in home runs, has yet to go long in postseason.

The Dodgers will stay in Southern California for a freeway series against the Angels who beat the Red Sox in 7.

Strong pitching was the theme of game 2! Both Sherzer and Hendricks were on their games! Cubs would strike first in the 5th when Descalso would hit a 2 run shot to deep center! Immediately followed by a Sandburg solo shot to left making it 3-0 Cubs! Washington would get 1 back in the 6th cutting it to 3-1, but that would conclude the scoring. The series will now shift to the friendly confines of Wrigley for game 3! I have a feeling this series may come down to the wire!

Dodgers take game one of the 2019 series 5-0 as Colton Stern pitches a complete game giving up only 2 hits with 10 Ks.

The Dodgers got on the board in 2nd when Joc Pederson grounded out driving Cody Bellinger in from 3rd. The remaining Dodger runs were scored in the 4th. Yaseil Puig singled in Max Muncy, Austin Barnes drove in Pederson with a sacrifice and Stern hit a 2 run homer to left.

Well, this sorta sucks for Sean Newcomb. (After two straight wins in Chicago)
With two out in the first inning:

                          Bryant single
                          Baez homer
                          Rizzo homer
                          Schwarber homer
                          Contreras homer

I’m personally putting him on the bus for Richmond after the game. Looks like Matt Joyce might get a chance to pitch today.

L.A. looks to be firing on all cylinders, while in contrast the Giants wheels are apparently coming off! Sutton would take the hill for the Dodgers in game 2 and stay there for 8 full innings allowing no runs and only 4 hits! Cueto for SF would last only 3.1 innings, allowing 5 earned runs on 8 hits in that spell before being pulled! The Dodgers were getting production all through the lineup while SF batters went down one by one by one by one! Unless the Giants figure something out on this trip back home, they seem insurmountably outmatched by this powerhouse Dodgers club!

Angels take game 2 of the 2019 World Series 2-0 in a pitchers duel.

Angels scored their first run in the 1st when Mike Trout was driven in from 2nd off of a Shohei Ohtani single to left. The scoreboard remained unchanged until the top of the 9th when pinch hitter Bo Way laid down a bases loaded sacrifice bunt scoring Justin Upton.

The series moves to Anaheim for game 3 locked at 1-1.

These 2 rivals lock horns again and provide another game that has to be considered one of the best of this postseason so far! This time it would be the pitchers showcasing, not the bats so much like game 1! Lester and Severino were both absolutely brilliant, and it’s a shame they couldn’t both get wins! Both were lights out till the bottom of the 5th, when Andujar would put the first run up with a solo shot to left! 1-0 Yankees!

Then top of the 6th, Swihart hit a ground rule double and advanced to 3rd on a wild pitch. Boggs worked a 2 out walk then Williams singled in Swihart and moved Boggs to 2nd, tying it back up at 1. Foxx then hit a double to right scoring Boggs but Williams got hung up at 3rd, giving Boston the lead 2-1! Martinez then struck out ending the inning.

The score would remain 2-1 going to the bottom of the ninth with the meat of NY lineup due up! ( Gehrig, Jackson, Stanton)

Boston puts in their Closer Tiant!

Gehrig beats out the throw from Pedroia deep behind second for an infield single!

Jackson works the walk putting 2 on with no outs and Stanton up! Tiant strikes him out getting him to chase a change up low and away! 2 on 1 out for Posada, who flies out to Betts in right! 2 on 2 out now for Judge, who’s yet to do anything in the series. (Sure feels like he’s due lol)! He does get ahold of one, but not well enough as Damon gets under it for the final out!

Series is now tied at 1-1 heading to Fenway!
