Re: MLB The Show 19 Franchise Discussion Thread

Stuck in a cross roads with my franchise.......thinking of trading either Bryant or Rizzo or maybe both but just cant decided........back story that lead me to this is I have traded to get great young players and a couple of them are face of the franchise kind of stars and dont want a roster full of powerhouses. The team is meshing well together after a month and a week we sit top of the division at 25-11.........maybe i am just too worried about player moral to much.

I have been playing 19 for 4 months now and just found out you can have players swap positions mid game and bring someone else in.......here I thought this was something they haven't added yet.

MLB The Show 19 Franchise Discussion Thread

Dodgers finish their road trip losing a 3 game series to the Arizona Diamondbacks 2-1.

Game 1: Dodgers win 1-0. Ross Stripling took a No Hitter into the 8th and ended up with the win pitching 7 innings, while giving up 0 runs on 1 hit and striking out 7. Jansen earned his 3rd Save in as many nights, showing little sign of fatigue. The lone Dodger run came off of a RBI double by Justin Turner in the 4th driving in Chris Taylor from first.

Game 2: Diamondbacks win 4-0. After pitching 7 innings and allowing 0 runs on 5 hits and 11 strikeouts, Colton Stern is relieved by Yasiel Sierra who subsequently gives up 4 runs and 5 hits in just 2/3 of an inning to earn the loss for the Dodgers. The Diamondbacks Ray held a no hitter going into the 8th before it was broken up by Alex Verdugo who picked up his first hit of the season after 11 consecutive appearances without a hit. Kike Hernandez went 0-3 while spelling everyday second baseman Chris Taylor and remains the only Dodger position player without a hit on the season.

Game 3: Diamondbacks 4-3. A walk off solo home run by Arizona’s David Peralta off Pedro Baez in the 11th inning gives Arizona the series win. Both Joc Pederson and Cody Berlinger hit their first home runs of the season.

The Dodgers head back to LA for an off day followed by a 10 game home stint against Boston, Colorado and San Francisco. A 4-3 start for the Dodgers can only be described as a complete disappointment for this impatient fan base and front office. Sitting in first with a team ERA of 2.34 it’s still hard to get excited when the Dodgers also are 29th overall with a team batting average of .200. The rumblings of the fans are picking up early after losing 3 World Series in a row. It could be that the Dodgers have missed their opportunity.

                            Seattle Mariners Franchise: Year One

                            BREAKING!

Late Thursday night the Mariners and Marlins reached a trade agreement for struggling pitcher Mike Leake. In exchange for Leake the Mariners will get prospects 22 yr old relief pitcher Damion Casto and 24 yr old shortstop Cristobal Lopes.

The two acquisitions are a further sign of the teams intentions to build a strong farm system. Moving Leake also frees up cash for the 2020 season as he was due $14.3 million next year.
