Or you can play the new March to October mode which is a one season mode where you only play a handful of games. And the handful of games you actually play, you don't play the full game.

I usually play every game of my franchise but I am thinking of mixing it up this year. I want to rebuild the Orioles. I'm thinking of playing 1, then simulating 5. That way every start is with a different pitcher. Do this until I feel I have built up a solid team, then maybe play some more.

I noticed he had the top prospect icon next to his name, which I thought was weird, but otherwise hadn't really looked.

Since he wasn't on my MLB 18 Braves team, I can still consider him a rookie in 19.

I’ve yet to win a game in TS19 as my 2019 Dodgers fall to 31-14. Lost 2-1 to the Brewers when I gave up a walkoff HR in the 16th. I had WAY too many players go for 0 for 6 or 1 for 6 at the plate.

I’m now 0-3 since carrying over (all 1 run losses) and have lost 5 of the last 10 while watching my lead in the West fall to 3 games. I really need to get my bats going again.

I'm 1-1 in my Braves franchise. I lost to the Phillies 5-2 on Opening Day before bouncing back with a 3-2 win.

Re: MLB The Show 19 Franchise Discussion Thread

We've completed February Spring Training games and finished 1-5 for the month. Hopefully March will provide a better win/loss record.

Still a lot of decisions to make before the regular season starts. Troy Tulowitzki was brought on to be the everyday shortstop, but he's currently being outplayed by Paul DeJong who we considered moving at one point.

Eliser Alvarez who we were going to move in the offseason but couldn't find a deal, is playing exceptionally well thus far hitting over .400 and playing well at 2nd base. Only issue is that Alvarez has trouble staying healthy and he's limited to 2B only due to poor arm strength.

We brought back Matt Carpenter hoping to find a spot, but I think he's going to have either not play or finish his career elsewhere. Jon Singleton is playing well and will be the everyday first baseman. Paul DeJong, Kike Hernandez, Greg Garcia, Edmundo Sosa, and Eliser Alvarez will fulfill the bench roles for the infield.

Outfield is pretty much set with Juan Fabregas, Harrison Bader, Magnerius Sierra, Tommy Pham, and Corey Ray making the roster. No one else really making push. Oscar Tavares, Kyle Waldrop, and Eddie Casilla will all most likely be optioned to the minors if not traded.

The pitching staff is still shaking out although we have a few spots open both in the pen and the number 5 starter. Wacha, Martinez, Reyes, and Flaherty have locked up a rotation spot. Leake and Mikolas are battling to be the 5th starter. Junior Fernandez and Kyle Funkhouser both just aren't ready at this time. We may bring up Austin Gomber to give him a shot, especially given he's a lefty and we are in desperate need of a left handed starter.

Andrew Miller, Adam Cimber, Tyler Lyons, and Trevor Rosenthal are the only sure locks for the bullpen. Roberto Osuna, Dean Kiekhefer, Zach Burdi, Corey Littrell, and Jordan Hicks are vying for the other spot.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I've pretty much tried every different way to play my franchise games. I've played one then quick managed the next five. I've played the first two games of each series and simmed the last one if I already won or lost the series (I would play the third game if we split).

I think my favorite way to play, though, has been to just play all the home games and quick manage the road games. I feel like doing it this way makes significant progress in a short amount of time while still giving me a lot of control over my team's success.

I'm going to start my Astros franchise soon with that style.

I play every game unless there is a starting pitcher I don’t like using. In year 1 I didn’t enjoy pitching with Ryu so I simmed every game he started. Year 2 I’m not a big on Urias so I’m simming his. Has me simming every 5th game.

The Phillies took it to the Braves in the second game of the season winning 8-4.

Tehran was lit up and pulled after the first two innings which is where all the damage was done. After that Atlanta’s bullpen was able to shut me down but they were unable to overcome the deficit with Pivetta pitching 7 strong innings after a rough 1st.

Bad news, though, as we lost Cutch for 2-3 months with a broken leg that occurred while attempting to make a diving catch.

Lowkey why is it that when I lose a no-hitter or perfect game late all of a sudden the AI can whack my guy's pitches no problem? It isn't just in 19 the Show either. It's been since the games started coming out. Literally makes zero sense to me.

No-No for Yu As Cubs Get First Win

In a baseball video game first for me, I have thrown a no-hitter with Yu Darvish in his old ballpark against his old team in his first start of the 2019 season. My playing career goes all the way back to the original Nintendo in 1986 as I’ve had the newest baseball game every year since. I have never thrown a no-no in any of those games. Darvish allowed one walk preventing the perfect game. He struck out 13 Ranger hitters in a 2-0 Cubs win.

Found a decent full minors roster in the vault to use for now. Decided to mess with a fantasy draft to see how it played out. Had 12th pick I believe it was. Playing as Marlins
