Please let us make more than two uniforms for rebranding. At lease let us have an alternate uniform.

I think what most people are saying is please copy most ,if not all, franchise elements from nba2k and we’ll be very happy

          1. Playoff Roster Management Fix: I'm tired of seeing teams with no catchers available for the playoffs because they can't replace the two injured catchers... (this happens because you can't put anyone on the playoff roster that isn't on the major league roster on September 1st...

          2. Ability to create different league and/or division formats...

          3. Playable single A and low single A minor leagues...

          4. Ability to remove retired uniform numbers (to recreate historical season rosters or start your own history...)

          5. Ability to setup your bullpen strategy on a game to game basis...

I really loved MLB the Show from MLB 2004 to MLB The Show 2017 but the franchise mode has really gone stale for me. I have been spending much more of my baseball game time with OOTP and tabletop games over the last two years... I haven't preordered the Show since 2018 and I in all likelihood will not even purchase the game this year...

            5. year to year saves (with the ability to add or remove players from rosters so you're not stuck with the same people for ever. In a year or so when a new player comes on the scene it'd be nice to have them in the franchise as well.)

Year to Year Saves should be the #1 priority

One thing that to me is very important, but I do not believe has been mentioned, is that SDS this year continue to add to the database of first and last name voice files available in the "Edit Player" function. For those who create historic rosters the more additional names the better.

Re: MLB The Show 21: Five Things We Want From Franchise Mode

Couple things that stick out to me or i've mentioned before in the past:

                    1. Expanded Rosters/Roster abilities:
-Playable Single-A. Also, roster slots(20-30) for Low-A, even if
                    unplayable.
-Non-roster Spring Training Invites. (This one kills me) Or
                    SPECIFIED minor league contracts
-3 or 4 Man rotations for Playoffs.
                    2. More Player card info:
-In-Depth "behind the scenes statistics" Accolades for player careers
-Details on scouting reports for prospects (I know we used to have
scouting reports on cards because there wasn't ratings)
                    3. Editable draft classes
                    4. Better/advanced budgeting categories
                    5. Extended "season" at the end of the year for prospects - Arizona fall leage,
                    etc.

                    Thoughts?

The biggest improvement they could give us is:

                        Expanded Rosters

This would open up the roster for more balance, more scouting, more drafting. It all goes hand in hand.

I rather see far more improvements in terms of roster building and on field action than anything else.

95% of my time in franchise mode....is on the diamond. Playing every game. All the magic of franchise mode takes place on the field for me. Playing with my prospects, playing with guys I developed. Having the storylines unfold and be born each and every season.

I don’t want a game made for text simmers. I want a game made for those guys who actually you know.....play.

And that is what we have gotten for the most part over the last decade. It is why I pour 1000’s of hours into this series.

MTO is very concerning to me. I really hope we do not see a marriage between MTO and traditional franchise mode.

I want more improvements on the game itself than the UI.

I hope we get expanded rosters....I really do. Because that will signal franchise mode is going in the right direction.

If it is still 90 man rosters then it will feel like the same type of mode no matter what they do in terms of re-designing screens. Because that is all we got on MLB 18 with Phases. A Re-Skin. And it was not great. In fact I prefer what we had on 17 as far as the UI. Was much more informative on the day to day of the league (daily recap screen.....I keep coming back to that LOL).

SO let’s hope for Expanded Rosters and Y2Y as the top two priorities. If those two thing happen.....we are in for great things again as far as playing deep into franchise mode for the next console generation.

If Y2Y does not return....and the way I play....this will not be an annual purchase anymore.

                        Bottom line.

I know this is super wishful thinking.............

BUT could the reason be that no Y2Y saves is that Franchise mode on PS5 got a huge overhaul and its completely different?

Take 2k for example, aren't the PS4 and PS5 versions of Franchise mode completely different experiences?

I'm sure this is completely false... BUT that thought is in the back of my head... I should probably get it out of my head.

I think most abandoned the hope of an overhaul when they removed the word "revamped" from the info on the official website shortly after they announced '21.

I would be very surprised if the PS5 version of franchise mode was different, especially vastly different, considering its my understanding you can import your franchise from PS4 to the PS5.

Frankly, that's how this particular franchise mode is built. It's not a micro-management text sim style mode (like NBA 2k's mode); it's a mode whose strongest elements are both on the field (i.e. the ratings-focused gameplay and solid representation of franchise-specific information via OSDs). You really do get a fuller and richer experience by playing every game (or a vast majority of them).
