Cardinals come from behind to beat Astros in Spring Opener

The Cardinals trailed the Astros 1-0 heading into the Top of the 9th when Brendan Donovan hit a solo homerun off of Ryan Pressley to tie the game at 1-1. The Cardinals couldn't get another run across. Genesis Cabrera would strike out 2 of the 3 batters he faced in the bottom half to send the game to extras.

In the 10th, Lars Nootbar would get his second hit of the night a solo homerun that put the Cardinals up 2-1. The Cardinals would add another run after Ali Sanchez singled, when Brendan Donovan hit a RBI double into the left center gap to make it a 3-1 game.

Giovanny Gallegos would come into the bottom half and get 3 up and 3 down to record his first save of the Spring.

The Cardinals will face the Nationals tomorrow at home. Adam Wainwright will get the start.

LOL, that has happened to me every time I tried to use an AL team in the past...

As I am seriously considering using an AL team this year, I may go extreme and turn-off the DH globally.

This year the first time the Cards came into Port St Lucie to play the Mets the crowd was pretty split between Cards and Mets fans and everytime Noot came up to plate the crowd was going Noooooooot. And my dad who is not a baseball fan was like geez they really hate this guy i said Dad they not saying boooo they saying Nooot , He looked at me is was hilarious

                  Cardinals drop game to Nationals

The Cardinals (1-1) took their first loss this Spring as they fell to the Nationals 3-2. The Cardinals were leading 2-0 thanks to solo homeruns by Harrison Bader and Paul DeJong, but unfortunately the bullpen couldn't hold the lead.

Brandon Waddell gave up a solo homerun in the 6th to make it 2-1 and then Kyle Ryan got knocked around with 5 hits and two runs given up, as he took the loss.

Adam Wainwright pitched well going 3 innings allowing zero hits, issuing a walk, and striking out 2.

The Cardinals will face the Marlins next. Steven Matz will make his Cardinals Spring debut today.

If you’re very lucky you can find a physical copy early in a smaller store, or know someone at a smaller store. It’s rare though, especially now. In past years there’d be several people on here who managed to find a copy early, so far it’s only CB.

Sorry man, I don't like to sim ahead in seasons/sim seasons to check to see how things like this work as I think looking at trades to evaluate the "logic" dampens the excitement and surprise when trades take place.

Same for any thing roster related like that...trades, signings, etc...
